Popular wisdom says "We choose friends, but we get our relatives." I believe that for a family to be united and strong, its members should have common interests and hobbies.

My family is united by a passion for sports. I can proudly say that I have a sports family. My grandmother is a candidate master of sports in artistic gymnastics, my grandfather is a master of sports in mountaineering, my mother is an international master of sports in powerlifting, and I have been doing rhythmic gymnastics for four years and am going to continue to play sports.

Why did I choose this topic... Sports activities are varied and relevant all year round... Sports victories have glorified our country for the whole world more than once. In 2014, our country will host Olympic Games... The younger generation must prepare a worthy successor to the great Russian athletes to win awards at the next Olympiads. The problem arises: "How to involve schoolchildren in sports?" We put forward a hypothesis: “In order for a child to play sports successfully and with interest, his whole family must be passionate about it”.

Chapter 1. Sports chronicle of my family.

In my family, there has never been a debate about whether to give a child to sports section... My grandmother, mother, grandfather have been fond of sports since childhood, although they did not become professional athletes.

I want to tell about sporting success their relatives and how sports have influenced their lives.

My grandmother, Nadezhda Nikolaevna, began to study artistic gymnastics from 8 years old. Artistic gymnastics is a sport that includes competitions in gymnastic apparatus, in floor exercises and vaults. My grandmother was engaged in gymnastics until the age of 17, and at the institute she was conquered by another exciting sport - mountaineering. At the age of 20, she got into the mountaineering camp "Zhdaylyk", and the mountains conquered her forever. In a mountaineering camp, she met a young man who later became my grandfather. The grandmother was trained and passed the sports tests for 2 sports category, grandfather is a master of sports in mountaineering. My grandmother wanted my mother to do gymnastics too. Unfortunately, my mother because of tall not taken in sports school... After that, starting from the age of 6, my mother was engaged in chess, alpine skiing, swimming, athletics, karate.

Mom started to play sports seriously at the institute when she was 19 years old. One day she came to gym University, it was covered by a coach and from that time on, classes in a non-female sport began.

At the age of 20, my mother fulfilled the standard of a master of sports, taking 3rd place at the Russian Championship among juniors in Krasnoyarsk, then graduated from the university, and then I was born.

After 2 years, my mother continued to play sports in the city of Kovrov in sports complex"Zvezda" under the guidance of the honored coach Vyacheslav Filimonov. The first time I came to the gym was when I was 1 year old.

For two years my mother stubbornly walked towards her cherished goal - the standard of an international master of sports. It was carried out only at the fifth competitions in the city of Ufa in 2008. And then my sister was born.

Larisa arrived at the gym in a wheelchair at the age of 1 month. Now we often go to trainings all together, I run around the stadium with my mother, look after my sister, communicate with friends. Now my mother rarely performs at competitions, but she regularly goes to the gym, because for her this is no longer a sport, but a way of life.

I have been doing rhythmic gymnastics since I was five.

Rhythmic gymnastics is a sport performed to the music of various gymnastic and dance exercises without an object, as well as with an object (rope, hoop, ball, clubs, ribbon).

School is very strong in Kovrov rhythmic gymnastics... Now the guys are engaged in two organizations - a sports school for swimming and a sports school on the Embankment.

When I first started doing gymnastics, we trained in a small gym. swimming pool, but a year later we had a large and bright hall in the building of the Department of Education. The first year was very difficult, it hurts to pull the strings and socks, it's a shame when the element does not work out. But soon I realized that I simply cannot live without gymnastics. Then mom and grandmother got sick with this sport, we watch the performances of gymnasts on the Internet, choose the styles of leotards, buy expensive gymnastic items. Now we train 6 times a week for 2 - 3 hours, and even more before the competition. Competition performance - 1.5 - 2 minutes with music. It seems very little, but you need to do so much - beautifully and correctly perform the elements, pull the socks, hands and knees, not lose the object, catch the throws, perform dance steps, do not jump out of the carpet, finish the exercise with music, and most importantly - smile all the time ... In training, we also do choreography, run, do strength exercises, because a gymnast should be slim, beautiful and fit. You constantly need to monitor your weight, do not eat fatty, sweet, because from appearance gymnasts' score in competitions also depends. In the summer we go to the Seeker camp to train, I really like it there.

But the most wonderful thing about gymnastics is the competition. For 3 years now I have been going to competitions in other cities - Vladimir, Shuya, Volginsky village. We leave for 2-3 days by bus, we live in a hotel. Before a performance, your heart always pounds and you are thirsty, then you look forward to your assessments, then the assessments of your rivals. I took first, second and third places several times, I have several medals and even one cup. Medals are hanging with my mother's, for two we already have more than 50 of them and I hope that this is not the limit. I have only the first youth category so far, but I really want to and will continue to train.

I believe that it doesn't matter what kind of sport you do. What are your achievements, the main thing is that you are supported and you get pleasure from it.

Chapter 2. Ten reasons why you need to go in for sports.

I believe that every person should go in for sports to the best of their ability and capabilities. What for? I talked with my mother and grandmother for a long time, and together we formulated 10 advantages of playing sports that will attract any person.

Plus the first... Sports activities help to always be beautiful.

Plus the second.Sport is health. Sports activities are the prevention of many diseases.

Plus the third.Sport is an opportunity to travel.

Plus the fourth.Sport is discipline and willpower training. I train for three hours six times a week, before the competition I go to two workouts a day.

Plus the fifth- new friends and acquaintances.

Plus sixth- possibility of career growth.

Plus seventh- interesting leisure.

Plus eighth- the opportunity to receive a well-deserved reward.

Plus the ninth -excitement. It seems to me that living without risk is not interesting. Each unsuccessful performance in the competition gives an incentive to correct your mistakes, learn difficult elements, so that you can win later.

My classmates and sports.

It became very interesting to me whether the guys with whom I study in the class share my passion for sports. I conducted a survey among students of the 3 "A" and 3 "B" grades of gymnasium No. 1 in the city of Kovrov. A total of 50 students answered the questionnaire. They were asked 4 questions.

Question No. 1. Do you attend sports clubs?

Of the 50 respondents, 32 go in for sports. I concluded that sports are popular among children.

Question No. 2. How many times a week do you work out in sports clubs?

6 people (18%) go in for sports once a week, 14 people (44%) - 3-4 times a week, 12 people (44%) 5-6 times a week. It can be concluded that most children devote a lot of time to sports, and that sports have become an important part of their lives.

Question No. 3. Did your parents go in for sports?

The parents of 34 surveyed children went in for sports, and 16 did not, which indicates that sports have become a tradition for many children, they also have a sports family.

Question number 4. What do sports give you?

27 people believe that playing sports gives health, 25 people - good physical fitness, 6 people - certificates and prizes, 6 people - interesting leisure and communication with friends. Most of the children believe that it is a healthy lifestyle and sports that will preserve and increase their health and will always allow them to stay in good physical shape.

We can say that sports activities are very popular among junior schoolchildren of 9-10 years old. I hope that we will all become real athletes and will be able to adequately represent the city of Kovrov and Russia at various competitions. And our loved ones will root for us and be proud!
