“Well, now that’s it,” said Kutuzov, signing the last paper, and, getting up heavily and straightening the folds of his plump white neck, with a cheerful face went to the door.
The ass, with rushing blood in her face, grabbed the dish, which, despite the fact that it took so long to prepare, she still did not have time to serve it on time. And with a low bow, she offered it to Kutuzov.
Kutuzov's eyes narrowed; he smiled, took her chin with his hand and said:
- And what a beauty! Thank you, my dear!
He took some gold trousers from his pocket and put them on her platter.
- Well, how are you? - said Kutuzov, heading for the room reserved for him. Ass, smiling with dimples on his ruddy face, followed him into the room. The adjutant went out to Prince Andrew's porch and invited him to breakfast; half an hour later, Prince Andrey was called back to Kutuzov. Kutuzov was lying on an armchair in the same unbuttoned coat. He was holding a French book in his hand and at the entrance of Prince Andrew, laying it with a knife, he rolled it up. It was Les chevaliers du Cygne, a composition by madame de Genlis [The Knights of the Swan, Madame de Jeanlis], as Prince Andrew saw from the wrapper.
- Well, sit down, sit down here, we'll talk, - said Kutuzov. - Sad, very sad. But remember, my friend, that I am your father, another father ... - Prince Andrey told Kutuzov everything he knew about the death of his father, and about what he saw in the Bald Mountains, passing through them.
- To what ... to what they brought! - suddenly said Kutuzov in an agitated voice, obviously clearly imagining, from the story of Prince Andrey, the situation in which Russia was. - Give a time, give a time, - he added with a malicious expression on his face and, obviously, not wanting to continue this conversation that agitated him, said: - I called you to keep it with me.
“I thank your lordship,” answered Prince Andrei, “but I am afraid that I am no longer fit for headquarters,” he said with a smile that Kutuzov noticed. Kutuzov looked at him questioningly. “And most importantly,” added Prince Andrey, “I’ve got used to the regiment, I fell in love with the officers, and people seem to love me. I would be sorry to leave the regiment. If I refuse the honor of being with you, then believe me ...

Educational activities are carried out in the following specializations:

- There was never a Jew, Mary, Isidore, or Joseph next to Jesus. There was Sage Maria, who, right before his birth, went here, to Meteora, so that he was born here, among the Magi and Witches. But she was late ... Jesus was born a week earlier, AT Dawn, in a small house on the banks of the river. And his birth was accompanied by the Bright Morning Star. Our Magi hurried to him to see him and protect him. And his Teacher and Father came to worship the wonderful soul of his newborn son. The Magi summoned him to Earth to stop the "plague", which, like a spider, had long woven its black webs here. And it was the Magi who sent Christ to the Jews. But Jesus himself was never a Jew. The Magi hoped that he would have enough strength to stop the "black" Evil, which was already spreading across the Earth. But Jesus lost, underestimating the "great weaknesses" of man ... The earth was not ready for His coming, just as it was not ready for the coming of the LEADERS, Isidora. And we are not ready to help her. When the time is right, we will open the Doors. And, perhaps, Light will triumph on Earth. But this will not be for a very long time ... Forgive me.
I was blown up.
- So, what - you will simply calmly observe how the best are destroyed?! .. But this is also your world, Sever! How can you just leave him to perish? The easiest thing is to pick up and leave. Or just WAIT. But won't you be haunted by such betrayal for the rest of your long life? This is scary. The world will never be the same if we don't help it now! Please help me Sever ...
I was ready to kneel if it could help anything. But, I saw that nothing would change from this ... These people lived in their own Truth, very isolated and alien. I could not understand how they were not ashamed to remain on the sidelines, when the best and most talented children of the earth burned in thousands, cursing their gift and dying in terrible agony ... My hands dropped - I could not fight alone. He was right - I didn't have enough strength.
- How can you accept this, Sever! .. How can we allow the "black" to seize our beautiful Earth? .. Do not your Great Teachers see what is happening? After all, how can you believe in something bright, Sever?! ..
- The Earth will suffer for a very long time and will suffer terribly, Isidora ... Until it comes to the very edge of destruction. And only the best will always die for it. And then the time of choice will come ... And only people themselves will be able to decide whether they have enough strength to withstand. We will only show the way.
- Are you sure of what will happen, to whom to indicate, Sever? Perhaps those who remain will no longer care ...
- Oh no, Isidora! Man is unusually strong in his survival. You can't even imagine how strong he is! And a real Man never gives up ... Even if he remains alone. It has always been that way. And it will always be that way. The power of Love and the power of Struggle are very strong on Earth, even if people still do not understand this. And here there is always someone who will lead the rest. The main thing is that this Leader does not turn out to be "black" ... From his very birth, a person is looking for a goal. And it depends only on him whether he finds it himself or turns out to be the one to whom this goal will be given. People must learn to think, Isidora. In the meantime, unfortunately, many are satisfied with what others think for them. And as long as this continues, the Earth will still lose its best sons and daughters, who will pay for the ignorance of all the "led". That is why I will not help you, Isidora. And none of us will. The time has not yet come for everything to be at stake. If we die now, fighting for a handful of the Enlightened Ones, even if it’s time for them to KNOW, then after that, there will be no one else to “know” ... I see, I didn’t convince you, ”a slight smile touched Sever's lips. - Yes, you wouldn't be yourself if you had convinced ... But I ask you only one thing - go away, Isidora! This is not your time, and this is not your world!
I felt wildly sad ... I realized that I had lost here too. Now everything depended only on my conscience - whether I agreed to leave, or whether I would fight, knowing that there was no hope of victory ...
- Well, Sever, I will stay ... Even if I am not as wise as you and your Great ancestors ... but I think if they really were such "Great" - you would help us, and they would forgive you. Well, if not, then perhaps they are not so “great”! ..

Hello everyone!
Friends, in my works I write a lot about various exhibitions of painting, sculpture, decorative and applied art, I often introduce you to young and already venerable artists, tell and show you about the creative atmosphere that reigns in the open air, and in one of the articles introduced to the creative studio, in which young and talented future creators are trained. After all, the world of art is an amazing universe, in it many galaxies, moving in an eternal dance of creativity, unite into a beautiful whole, which makes us human and creates a life filled with a bright variety of colors and shades, a life that we cherish, which gives us happiness multiplied by love, friendship, faith, knowledge and creativity! Having once come into contact with art, a person seeks to better understand the space around him and plunge deeper into inner world own consciousness, this is the only way to know yourself - by knowing through art!
Friends, our distant ancestors began to draw drawings of animals in caves, mountains, forests and rivers surrounding them, and of course - women. These drawings tell us that a person has long understood the beauty of nature, and they lived not only for the sake of survival - they began to create, and creativity gave birth to the best and kindest feelings and emotions in people. The first artists were also the first teachers, it was they who began to teach others about beauty and love, because it was in those very rock paintings that, perhaps, there were the very first declarations of love. Creativity gave us life, and art made us human!

Today I will acquaint you with a wonderful educational institution - the Rostov Art School named after Mitrofan Borisovich Grekov. Friends, this is the oldest art educational institution in the south of Russia, its history dates back to 1895-1896, when drawing classes were created on the initiative of the chairman of the artistic committee of the Artistic Society A.S. Chinenov, a teacher and artist. Over more than a century of its existence, from drawing and modeling classes, this educational institution has grown into a well-known and highly professional art school, in which artists and sculptors famous in our country and the world have grown up: S.G. Korolkov - the first illustrator of the novel "Quiet Don "MASholokhov; EV Vuchetich - People's Artist, author of monumental sculptural compositions "Motherland Calls" on Mamayev Kurgan in Volgograd, "Liberator Warrior" in Treptow Park in Berlin, "Let's Break Swords into Plowshares" near the UN building in New York, "Rear - Front" in Magnitogorsk and others; GI Shiltyan - an outstanding Russian-Italian artist who has been working in the Vatican for many years; GK Artyomov is a remarkable Russian-French artist; V.A. Pushkarev - artist and art critic, who headed the State Russian Museum for more than 20 years; folk artists A.I. Laktionorv; A.D. Romanychev; N.A. Ponomarev and many many other great masters.
Students and graduates of the school in a creative environment with respect and love are called "Grekovtsy", and this, friends, really sounds proud! After all, this educational institution is based on the traditions of the great Russian realistic school, and no new and fashionable trends in art will in any way change this.

You know, friends, no master classes on the Internet and newfangled drawing courses can replace a full-fledged arts education... Tell me, for example, how you can learn to mix paints on the Internet, and color science in painting is one of the foundations of mastery. To create an artistic image in which emotions, feelings, moods and ideas would be expressed, more than one jar of paint will have to be lime, in order to learn how to get the right shades, and combine them together in painting.
In painting, it is not enough that the tree is brown, and the grass is green and the snow is white; the shades of colors must be seen, distinguished and felt harmoniously. This can only be taught by a highly qualified and professional teacher who, not in theory, but in practice, will teach you how to create the necessary color. It is these teachers who work at the Rostov Art School named after M.B. Grekov, therefore, friends, so many wonderful artists entered the world of great art from the doors of this educational institution.

In 1959, the school bears the name of the outstanding Soviet battle painter Mitrofan Borisovich Grekov (real name Mitrofan Pavlovich Martyschenko). M.B. Grekov is a hereditary Don Cossack, was born in the Sharpaevka farm (now the Rostov region), a student of I.E. Repin and F.A.Rubo, lived in Novocherkassk and Moscow. Named after him: Odessa Art School, in which the artist began to learn the secrets of painting; as well as the studio of military artists in Moscow, which Mitrofan Borisovich directed until his death in 1934.

The Rostov Art School named after M.B. Grekov is located in the center of the city in an old mansion.

On the facade of the school building there is a memorial plaque with a portrait of M.B. Grekov, indicating the years of his life and a quote from the artist.

Friends, I invite you to get to know this wonderful educational institution better, and I am sure that our acquaintance will be interesting and informative.
The school trains specialists in four specialties of full-time education:
- painting (by type) - easel painting, theatrical and decorative painting;
- sculpture;
- design (by industry in culture and art);
- theatrical and decorative art (in appearance - the artistic and costume design of the performance).
Together with the Don Theological Seminary, the opening of an icon-painting department at the Russian Art School is soon being prepared.

You know, friends, I have long wanted to get to know the life of the Grekov Art School, I really wanted to look at the educational and creative process from the inside, and I am glad that this has come true.
Marina Yurievna Bobreshova, director of the Rostov Art School named after M.B. Grekov.

I had a rather interesting conversation with Marina Yuryevna, in which I recalled my short creative activity as a graphic designer in the early 80s of the last century, and the director of the educational institution spoke about the activities of the art school.
I can say that there is really enough work at the school, because the students and teachers of the Russian Art School take a direct part in the design of international, All-Russian, regional and city holidays and festivals, in the Sholokhov celebrations, as well as in competitions in which they necessarily win prizes.
The school is proud that paintings, graphic works and sculptures of young artists - pupils of the Russian Art School, are exhibited in the best exhibition halls of the region and the country.
Marina Yurievna Bobreshova ended our conversation with the words that the teachers of the school are proud of their history and their graduates: painters, sculptors, theater artists, designers.

Friends, I invite you to take a walk around the premises of a respected educational institution.

In the corridors of the school, the works of the graduates of this educational institution are exhibited, and many of them are now already working as teachers here.

Works of graduates of the educational institution.

It was very interesting to visit the educational workshops of the school, and to see live the creative process that the students were keen on. I am very glad that I was allowed to take photographs of the classes.
I am sure, friends, that such photographs should be looked at with interest, because the creativity in them takes place before your very eyes.
The great Auguste Renoir once said an incredibly beautiful phrase: "I love women with my brush." What else can be added to these beautiful words, photography shows everything itself.

We are approaching the next training workshop, in which students are engaged in new developments in design.

Classes in the educational design workshop.

Friends, we all remember the phrase from "Eugene Onegin" by A.S. Pushkin: "We all learned a little, Something and somehow", in which the great poet ridicules people who boast of their learning, but in fact turn out to be bad students ... So, colleagues, in the Rostov School named after M.B. Grekov, they professionally teach the basics of academic art education, and they do it with high quality. And the phrase of Alexander Pushkin in our case, I would dare to alter this way: "We all learned fruitfully, keeping faithful to the art."

Let's go further, friends, through the training workshops of the art school.
It is always pleasant for me to watch the creative process, especially when young people are passionate about it, because they do not yet know the boundaries of what is permissible, they have not yet been underestimated, they have not yet mastered all the secrets technical excellence, but they are free and sincere in their fantasies, and in the manifestation of open feelings and emotions.

I visited the RCU immediately after Victory Day, and therefore the theme of the Great Holiday could not pass by the students of the educational institution.

Friends, art has no specific boundaries, because it develops constantly, just as life gives us new colors and impressions every day, so art constantly surprises us with something new and still little understood, but this is only for now!
The famous American artist, one of the ideologues of abstract expressionism Jackson Pollock, once said the following phrase: "One critic wrote that my paintings have no beginning or end. He did not want to say a compliment, but he did. It was an excellent compliment."

In the training workshop of the art school.

Friends, painting, as a constituent part of art, is not an exact science (although, of course, you need to know certain proportions, perspectives, and so on), but still it is a science of feelings and emotions, because without feelings and emotions you will never create a real work art. Do you know, colleagues, what were the last words of Pablo Picasso before leaving the other world? He said, "Painting still needs to be invented."
Painting is like the wheel of Samsara, it is in perpetual motion, in an eternal cycle and in eternal search and updating.

Student work.

One of the RHU classrooms.

A French painter, a representative of romanticism, Eugene Fromentin once said this phrase: "Painting is the art of expressing the invisible through the visible." Friends, great people do not say stupid things, because in every work any artist wants to reveal his inner and invisible world to all of us, through what we saw and the conscious image on his canvas. You just have to want to read it, and then the secret gates to the world of philosophy and consciousness of the master will open before us. And this wonderful world, because the master always has something to tell us!

A pleasant creative atmosphere reigns in the workshop of the Rostov Art School.

Friends, on the basis of the school, ten-month preparatory courses are working for future applicants, to which those wishing to try themselves in creativity are invited. And it is not surprising that many then consciously enter the wonderful world of fine art.

Students at creative work.

And you and I, friends, are already in the next workshop, where students are busy painting a portrait of a young girl.

I move on, and now I am in another workshop, where students are trying to comprehend perfection.

"Do not be afraid of perfection, you will never achieve it." Well, friends, Salvador Dali apparently knew the secret of perfection, so he shared his recipe with us, though in a manner peculiar only to him. But still, friends, let's wish the students that they never stop searching for perfection, and then art will develop further, delighting and inspiring us all!

In the RHU workshop.

Yes, friends, I look at the work of students, and my soul becomes happy, because a new wonderful tribe of artists is growing up - a tribe of new creators!

Remember the phrase of Lev Nikolaevich Tolstoy: "Everything is a little bit in art." Looking at the photo below, do you still doubt the words of the great writer?

"Painting is not a talkative art, and this, in my opinion, is its considerable merit." You know, friends, looking at such a calm and even businesslike atmosphere that reigns in the workshop, Eugene Delacroix was right when he wrote his statement.
Students are polishing their skills in painting a portrait.

This is how, friends, practical classes are held by future artists - creativity and only creativity!

And here everything is ready for painting still lifes.

We are with you already in the next creative audience of the Russian Art School.

The Rostov Art School named after M.B. Grekov has its own library, in which any student can always find the literature he needs.

And now, friends, we will visit the workshop where future sculptors are trained.

The working environment prevails in the workshop.

A student is working on a sculpture.

Friends, let's walk along the corridors of the art school, which is very interesting, because here, like in a museum, the works of graduates and teachers of the educational institution are exhibited all around.

Works of graduates of the school.

Works of graduates and teachers of RHU.

Works of graduates of the school.

It is a great tradition to exhibit the work of your graduates, they immediately become visible professional level teachers of the educational institution. And in the school named after M.B. Grekov, this level is high, which is confirmed by these works of graduates.

Among the works on display, there are many sculptural compositions.

Sculptures alternate with painting.

And again interesting sculptures.

Look, friends, what an interesting composition.

This work is called "Girl in folk costume", Ekaterina Resin, 2009, canvas / oil. Leader V.V.

The Rostov Art School has something to be proud of, and there is confirmation of this - the diplomas that you see in the photograph.

We go along the corridors of the art school.

Friends, before us is a bust of the famous battle painter Mitrofan Borisovich Grekov, after whom the school is named.

Friends, you and I made a tour of a wonderful educational institution - the Rostov Art School named after M.B. Grekov. I can confidently say that the excursion to the training workshops and the acquaintance with the work of the school brought a lot of pleasant impressions and emotions! I saw and was pleasantly surprised at how the students' eyes shine on practical exercises in educational workshops, which were so passionate about what they loved - creativity. And this, in fact, is very pleasing, because many of them are ready to devote their lives to art, and art is the most beautiful thing that makes our life truly beautiful and priceless! I was captivated by the teachers of the educational institution, who daily share their vast knowledge with students, instilling in them a love and respect for art, they daily and painstakingly cultivate the seeds of skill in young and talented souls, turning them into artists. I really liked, colleagues, that surprisingly calm, professional and businesslike atmosphere, that sincere and cordial atmosphere that hovered in the old walls of the art school, it really sets you up for a creative mood!
Friends, in conclusion I want to express my gratitude to the management and teaching staff of the school for permission to take photos and videos, as well as to all the students who treated my person with understanding when I photographed them during practical classes.

Friends, in the title of my work I wrote the words of Albert Einstein: "The highest art of a teacher is to awaken joy in creative expression and knowledge." I am sure that at the Grekov School, teachers awaken in students joy in creative expression and joy in learning about art!

general information

Rostov Art School named after M.B. Grekova is the oldest art educational institution in the south of Russia.
"Grekovtsy", with love and respect, are called students and graduates of the school. In the meaning of this word, one sees a reverence for the art of ancient Greece, which lies at the basis of academic education, and at the same time - a connection with modernity, because Mitrofan Borisovich Grekov, whose name has been the school since 1959, is the first Soviet master of battle painting, a wonderful Don landscape painter, bright representative of the twentieth century.
The history of the school is multifaceted and rich in its achievements. It dates back to 1895-96, when, with the support of the City Duma, at the initiative of the chairman of the artistic committee of the Artistic Society A.S. Chinenov, a wonderful teacher and artist, drawing classes were created. Over time, drawing and modeling classes grew into a highly professional art school, which gave the country and the world such outstanding artists as S.G. Korolkov - the first and unsurpassed illustrator of the epic novel "Quiet Don" M.A. Sholokhov; E.V. Vuchetich - People's Artist, author of monumental sculptural compositions in Berlin, New York and Volgograd; G.I. Shiltyan is an outstanding Russian-Italian artist who worked for many years at the Vatican; G.K. Artyomov is a remarkable Russian-French artist, whose works are kept in museums and private collections in France and America; V.A. Pushkarev is an artist and art critic who for more than 20 years headed the State Russian Museum, who preserved and returned to Russia the works of Russian artists of the late 19th - early 20th centuries; folk artists A.I. Laktionov, A.D. Romanychev, N.A. Ponomarev, Yu.V. Zhuliev, N. Ya. Booth, B.M. Lavrenko and others.
Today, as well as more than a century ago, the Rostov Art School follows the traditions of the Russian realistic school. Before the 1917 revolution, the Russian Academy of Arts supervised the educational process, which laid the solid foundations of academic education, which to this day are an immutable law of education for all generations of teachers, many of whom are students of the school and institutes of the Russian Academy of Arts. “Well, they teach you well on the Don!” - once said the famous artist, art critic and restorer I.I. Grabar, having looked at the works of students of the school B. Lelkov, V. Lenya, S. Skoptsov, I. Yazev, who came to enroll in 1937 at the Moscow Institute of Fine Arts (now the Moscow State Academic Art Institute named after V.I.Surikov).
The authority of the RHU as a center of art education in the south of Russia acquired special significance in the 50-60s. Representatives of republics and autonomous regions studied at the school North Caucasus... Returning to their homeland, they formed the core of national art schools in places. Many of them became honored and folk artists: G. Pashtov, M. Tkhakumashev, T. Lakhter, the Hasan and Huseyn Sungurov brothers, V. Vaskin, N. Eledzhaev and others.
The school is constantly at the center of the cultural and artistic life of the Don region. Students and teachers of the RHU named after M. B. Grekova participate in the design of city, regional holidays, festivals, in the holding of Sholokhov celebrations, actively participate in international, all-Russian and regional competitions, winning prizes.
To develop the creative potential of future artists since 2001, an exhibition-competition "Creators of the XXI century" is held annually in the fall.
Today, paintings and graphic works of young artists - pupils of the Russian Art School, are exhibited in the best exhibition halls of the region and the country. An integral part of the main exposition of the Tretyakov Gallery in the section of contemporary art of the last decade of the twentieth century are the works of our graduates V.N. Koshlyakov and A.S. Ter-Ohanyan. In 2004, Alla Shevchenko's diploma painting "Block-post" was added to the permanent exposition of the Central Museum The armed forces Russia in the city of Moscow, and in 2006, within the framework of the regional exhibition project "Contemporary art for the inhabitants of the Don", the RHU presented to the audience an exposition of educational, creative and diploma works from its funds "Grekovtsy - fellow countrymen".

Many works from the reporting exhibition immediately supplemented the exposition of the local museum of the village of Vyoshenskaya. And in the summer of 2006, the participants of the regional plein air "At the Don-Father of the River ..." spent unforgettable days at the Pukhlyakovsky farm in the Rostov region - the birthplace of the famous Don writer Anatoly Veniaminovich Kalinin, who turned 95 that year.
Per last years the best of the students visited the open air in the Ulyanovsk region, in the homeland of the artist A.A. Plastov, in Pereyaslavl-Zalessky, in Karelia, in St. Petersburg, in Saratov, in Sergiev Posad, where the organization and hard work of the Rostovites were noticed, and the work of the "good fellows", as they were called, were highly appreciated.
One of the significant events in the life of the technical school is the participation in the All-Russian exhibition of diploma works of students of art educational institutions, which took place in October 2009 in Saratov. The exposition of the works of our students was highly appreciated and was recognized as the best along with the works of students of leading educational institutions in the field of artistic professional education - Moscow and St. Petersburg art schools, while none of the educational institutions participating in the exhibition received as many awards as RHU - 9 Winner Diplomas!
