Large swimming facilities appeared in Leningrad (Dynamo stadium, 1955), Krasnodar (1955), Moscow (1957). This made it possible to develop swimming in many regions and republics, to regularly train reserves, and improve the skills of swimmers. Dynamo Moscow trained a group of international-class swimmers who competed at the 1960 Olympics in Rome, including Lyudmila Korobova, 3inaida Belovetskaya (Plishkina), Marina Shamal, who took 6th place in the 4x100-meter medley relay and brought test points to the piggy bank USSR national team.
