Cork is my secret fishing tackle. How to catch in traffic

Modern fishermen are equipped with a variety of devices for comfortable fishing. One of these devices is feeder feeders. They are designed so that the bait does not lead the fish away from the hook, but rather lures it to the location of the bait.

Types of feeder feeders

Feeder troughs can be divided into four types

Closed

Basically, such feeders are used in stagnant water or in very weak currents. If this has an oval cross-section, and it is loaded, then you can use it with a stronger current.

Open

The most common type of feeders. They are made for medium range casting. Almost all open feeders are loaded. There are 3 types of section for these feeders: round, triangular, quadrangular. It can be used both in current and in stagnant water.

"Rocket"

This feeder has good aerodynamics, making it perfect for long cast... Mainly used in water without flow. A distinctive feature from other types of feeders is that the sinkers can be replaced. It got its name from its shape, it looks like a rocket.

String bag

Trough big size, designed for catching predatory fish since pieces of fish are used as bait for it. The feeder mesh is made of fishing line. A lead ball is used as a sinker.

The variety of feeder troughs is great. They vary in weight, shape, brand, etc. You can buy a feeder at a store, or you can make it yourself at home.

Buy a feeder or do it yourself?

Choose to make from improvised means or buy feeder trough in the store, each fisherman chooses for himself. The advantage of buying in a store is that you do not need to figure out what, and you do not need to spend time making it. But this is not the reason why you need to buy it, and not do it yourself.

How to catch more fish?

In my 13 years of active fishing, I have found many ways to improve my bite. And here are the most effective ones:
  1. Bite activator. Attracts fish in cold and warm water with the help of pheromones and stimulates their appetite. Pity that Rosprirodnadzor wants to ban its sale.
  2. More sensitive gear. Read the appropriate guides for your specific tackle type on the pages of my site.
  3. Bait based pheromones.
Remaining secrets successful fishing you can get it for free by reading my other materials on the site.

In fact, feeders are consumables, they often fly off and remain at the bottom. And, despite the low cost, you will not have to spend little money on them. On average, the price for a feeder is 100 - 150 rubles, but you need to buy several of them, for different fishing conditions. And if you take into account the fact that they will fly off, then for the entire fishing season you can pay about 2,000 thousand rubles for them.

The amount is, of course, not very large, but it would be better to make a feeder with your own hands from improvised means, and the money intended for the purchase of a feeder should be spent on tackle that will be problematic to make yourself. There is a lot of information on the Internet on how to make feeder feeders. This article will detail the methods of making feeder reels.

But, just in case, a list of online stores where you can buy a feeder, in case there is no way to make it yourself:

What can be used to make a feeder trough?

What a person's imagination is not capable of, people can make such things from scrap materials that their branded counterparts will yield.

Fishing gear is very often made at home from materials that are lying around at home idle. Different things are used to make feeder troughs.

A feeder can be made from:

  • Metal mesh.
  • Plastic bottle.
  • Traffic jams.
  • Curlers.

As you can see, the material from which you can make a feeder for a feeder is in everyone's house. Probably there are no such people who do not have empty plastic bottles or old grandmother's curlers in the pantry. Therefore, no one will have any problems with finding a material for manufacturing.

Materials (edit)

As it became clear from the previous part of the article, different materials are used for making the feeder. It remains only to find them and get to work, but in order to make a feeder, you need to prepare tools for this.
What tools are needed.

To prepare the necessary tools for manufacturing, you need to decide what material will be used for this.

For example, in order to make a feeder out of plastic bottle, you will need the following tools:

  • Drill.
  • Soldering iron.
  • Stapler.
  • Hole puncher.
  • Scissors.
  • Glue.

And for making a feeder from metal mesh, the minimum set of tools is:

  • Scales.
  • Nippers.
  • Pliers.

Although the tools may differ not only in material, but also in the method of manufacture. In any case, everyone has many of the tools.

Methods for making feeders for a feeder

There are many ways of making feeder feeders, many of them will be discussed and described in detail in this article.

How to make a wire mesh feeder

Materials:

  • Mesh, with cells of 4 - 6 mm.
  • Two pieces of 6mm wire, 20mm long. (Two M6 bolts can be used)
  • 2 steel blanks made of soft metal. The size is 60X80X10.
  • One blank. The size is 30X80X5.

Manufacturing process:

  1. Making a mold: Put metal blanks in a pile, the one that is 30X80X5, place in the middle. In order for the form to be securely fixed, it should be clamped in a vice. At the ends, you can weld a little. Clamp with a vice so that the short side is on top. Drill six millimeter holes in the corners. Tighten the mold with pieces of wire or M: bolts.
  2. Threading on one side: Mark a point in the middle of the shape. Drill a hole with a six millimeter drill, perpendicular to the marked point, so that the drill does not reach the exit of about 4 millimeters. Go through this hole a second time, but with a 16 mm drill.
  3. Separating the plates: Fold the 2 large plates together and clamp them so that the holes are at the bottom. Having stepped back from the edge 16 mm, cut off the material from both edges. Mark the top shoulders, back out sixteen millimeters. Cut a strip from the mesh, 50x80 in size. Saw mesh slots on the workpiece. Make an eyelet on the wire to attach the feeder there. Fold the blanks and check how tightly the halves fit together.
  4. Sand unevenness.
  5. Smooth corners.

How to make the feeder yourself for this feeder:

  • Cut the blanks from the mesh and twist them into a tube.
  • Place an eyelet and a net on half of the mold.
  • Fasten the halves together.
  • Warm up the form.
  • Pour molten metal.
  • After the form has frozen, remove excess metal with pliers.
  • Disassemble the form. All the trough is ready.

How to make a plastic bottle feeder

Materials:

  • Lead plate.
  • Plastic bottle. With a volume of 1.5 liters.
  • Clip.

How to make a body:

  1. Cutting down upper part to the place where the label is affixed.
  2. Cut off the lower part in the same way.
  3. Cut the resulting product lengthwise.
  4. Mark the places for the holes in a checkerboard pattern. (the distance between them should be two centimeters)
  5. Make holes in the marked places with a soldering iron.
  6. Wrap the resulting products in a tube and glue.

Feeder manufacturing:

  • Bend the plate so that it fits to the feeder.
  • Fix the sinker.
  • Bend a ring out of a paper clip and attach to the form.

Curler feeder

It is very easy to make a feeder out of curlers; for this you don't even need to make a shape, as in the case of a plastic bottle, it is already ready. After all, the curlers are already made with the required holes. In order to make a feeder out of this, it is enough to attach a plate and a fastener assembly there.

How to make a cork feeder

Materials:

  • Cork.
  • Copper wire.
  • Clip.
  • Lead plates.

Manufacturing:

  1. Cut pieces from the lead plate slightly smaller than the cork in diameter.
  2. Make 4 holes in the plug with a soldering iron.
  3. Tighten the wire crosswise through these holes.
  4. Make about five holes on the sides. Three of these holes are used for hook leads. One for the ring.

How to make a flow feeder

Materials:

  • Tin pimples, 9 pcs.
  • Wire.
  • Swivel.
  • Lead plate.
  • Filter mesh. (it is desirable that the filter be from large cars)

Manufacturing:

  1. Make a shape. You can follow the instructions for making a mold for a wire mesh feeder.
  2. Make a rectangular depression in the board.
  3. Make 9 holes 3 mm deep.
  4. Pass the swivel into the frame.
  5. The frame will be stretched into the mesh.
  6. Insert the frame into the recess.
  7. Fill with lead.

Long casting feeder

Material:

  • Fishing line. 70 cm.
  • Plastic tube. 8-10 cm.
  • 1.5 cm piece of heat shrink tubing, 1.25 mm in diameter.
  • 6 cm piece of heat shrink tubing, 2.5 mm in diameter.
  • Carbin.
  • Shock absorber ball.
  • Bead.
  • Swivel.

Manufacturing:

  1. Make a 1.5 cm loop on the line.
  2. Tie the ends of the fishing line with a pigtail.
  3. Step back five centimeters from the knot, and make another one.
  4. Put on a swivel at the end of the tube.
  5. On the other end, put on a 2.5mm piece of heat shrink tubing.
  6. Fix on the fishing line: 1. Bead, 2. Ball-shock absorber, 3. A tube with a swivel. (The tube should be placed horizontally)
  7. Attach a loose piece of heat shrink tubing to the swivel.
  8. Put on a leash and put on a thermotube.
  9. Attach the tap and the clasp to the leash and clasp.
  10. Slide the heat shrink tubing towards the bend.

Catching crucian carp on a teat is one of the most common methods of catching not only in Russia, but also in different regions of Ukraine and Belarus. In essence, such a device cannot be called a sports tackle, but it allows you to catch even the most cautious crucian carp in difficult places.

How to make a pacifier for crucian carp

Baits and baits

Crucian carp is a rather whimsical fish. Therefore, it is almost impossible to predict what kind of bait the bite will be. If yesterday the fish preferred dough, today it can peck at a worm or maggot. So the fisherman must stock up on a large arsenal of baits. Otherwise, there is a risk of being left without a catch of fish.

You can take as baits and baits:

  • maggot;
  • worm;
  • corn;
  • dough;
  • bloodworms;
  • pearl barley;
  • Styrofoam ball.

Flavors

The most popular flavor enhancers are:

  1. Garlic.
  2. Dill.
  3. Cinnamon.
  4. Vanilla.
  5. Anise.

Please note that you need to add flavors at the very end, when the bait is almost ready.

Fishing technique

Before casting the rig, it is necessary to examine the place of fishing. This can be done with a marker float, an echo sounder or using a stepped spinning wire. If depth differences or pits are found, set the exact distance on the teat rod.

To catch a crucian carp on a nipple, you must:

  1. The nipple must be tightly filled with groundbait to form a slide.
  2. Inside the bait, you need to insert hooks with foam (bending up, ears down).
  3. When casting, do not be afraid of hard-to-reach places, as the hooks are safely hidden.
  4. After casting, the food will be gradually washed out, thereby actively attracting crucian carp.
  5. As soon as the fish notices the bait, it will immediately begin to suck it in. And along with the food it will come across a hook.
  6. The signaling device will inform about a bite.

Features of fishing in different seasons

Catching crucian carp in spring

It is easiest to catch crucian carp in spring. Active biting of fish begins when the water temperature reaches 12-14 degrees Celsius.

It is worth paying attention to the fact that at this time the crucian carp divides the habitats. Therefore, if you constantly come across small specimens, then it is better to change the fishing place. Because large fish will not be here.

As a rule, in spring, crucian carp is in shallow water. The best place for existence, the fish chooses thickets of reeds or reeds, since at the depths the water has not yet warmed up.

The most active bite occurs before spawning.

Catching crucian carp in summer

After spawning, the crucian carp begins to eat. This happens sometime at the end of June. On hot days, the fish constantly moves through the reservoir, hiding mainly near coastline in thickets, snags and under trees growing in the water.

You will not find crucian carp in places where the water surface begins to bloom. This is due to the very small amount of oxygen.

Catching crucian carp in autumn

In the autumn, when the water temperature drops, the crucian carp goes to a depth of more than 3 meters. The fish starts looking for a hard muddy bottom for wintering. Therefore, it practically does not react to groundbait.

Biting can be good only in cloudy weather or when the weather conditions change dramatically (rain and then snow).

In a special article on our website you can find out the most.

To catch crucian carp on a nipple is successful, it is worth preparing for fishing:

  1. Select the type of equipment (blind or sliding).
  2. Prepare groundbait.
  3. Take with you a variety of baits and baits.
  4. Be sure to use flavors to attract the fish.
  5. Take into account the seasonal characteristics of the fish (in which places it lives at different times of the year).

At proper preparation the catch will please you very much. Therefore, the preparatory process should be taken seriously so that the nibble does not keep you waiting for a very long time. Good luck in fishing.

Crucian carp are caught by numerous methods and options of equipment. We will tell in this article about such tackle as a cork, which is a fairly simple and uncomplicated device, and at the same time allows you to ensure effective fishing for this fish.

Tackle "plug": device, principle of operation and advantages

The method of catching crucian carp with the help of a cork rig is somewhat similar to catching with the help of a top hat. Why is the rig named so - because it consists of a cork, into which complementary foods are stuffed, and there are leashes with hooks in it.

A heavy type of sinker is attached to the other end of this plug. That is why the tackle cork lies on the surface of the bottom of the reservoir with the deaf side. You can attach bait to the hooks themselves, or you can leave the hooks empty. Having caught the aromas of the feed, the fish begins to swim up to the cork of the feeder. Having tasted the prey, the crucian actively sucks in the feed and at the same time swallows the hooks in the feed.

At the same time, the bite alarm system starts to work, and the angler performs the hooking. The carp will try to break loose and swim away, but the cork itself heavy load does not let him go.

The advantages of this type of tackle are the following indicators:

  • - the most simple tooling device;
  • - can be caught even at great depths;
  • - you can not use the bait;
  • - the likelihood of the appearance of hooks decreases;
  • - Carp self-hooking is carried out;
  • - you can catch all kinds of fish.

Features of cork fishing

When fishing for crucian carp on a cork, it is necessary to carry out the process of laying the hooks into the cork itself so that the hooks themselves are located with their ear downwards, while the bend of the hook is located upward. You can fit the hooks with foam balls.

This method of fishing for crucian carp is simply impossible without the use of a delicious feeding agent designed specifically for crucian carp. The process of making complementary foods should be carried out immediately before the very process of fishing for crucian carp. The mixing of the components should be done already on the fishing trip itself, while adding pond water.

In order for the smells of the flavors to act a little longer, a piece of foam rubber soaked in an aromatic substance is fixed to the bottom of the cork, before applying the complementary food.

The feeding is laid in such a way that a small slide is obtained with several edges. The hooks should not be put to the very bottom of the cork, otherwise the crucian carp itself may have time to get enough, and will not have time to get to the hooks.

When fishing for crucian carp with a cork, take with you a few corks, ready to catch. If the complementary feeding ends on one, with the help of carabiners you can quickly change the cork, without losing time for laying the feed for crucian carp.

Cork Tackle Tackle

When fishing for carp with cork, fishermen use a wide variety of rods. Someone uses a feeder rod, while others like ordinary float rods. With this method of catching crucian carp, the coils must hold a sufficiently large load, because several crucians can be caught at once.

When fishing for crucians using this method, the fishing line is selected somewhere in the region of 0.2 millimeters in diameter, but if you fish in clean reservoirs, free of snags and thickets, you can use smaller options. Do not use hooks that are too large in size. Large hooks are difficult to hide in the cork itself.

Bait for catching crucian carp on a cork

Successful cork fishing for crucian carp completely depends on the success of making a bait for crucian carp. Many fishermen began to use ready-made, sold feeding agents. But a real fisherman has to make a feeding agent himself. The fertilizing agent is prepared with a rather viscous character. It should be slightly stretchy in composition. Although the parameters of the density of the feed should not be excessive.

One of the simplest ways of making a feeding agent for crucian carp is mixing bread crumb and cake mixture. A small amount of flour should be added to this product. Among other things, you can take advantage of the addition of a small amount of dough. V mandatory flavors such as cinnamon, coriander, garlic are added, or store-bought flavors are used.

Another, also quite simple way of preparing feed will be to mix canned corn in a crushed state and lightly toasted sunflower seeds, and juice from under the corn is poured here. Some flavor is also added.

How to make a cork tackle for crucian carp?

In order to carry out the process of making cork-type tooling on our own, you will need some kind of plastic cork from a plastic five-liter or larger plastic container, you can use a cover from some sealant or something else similar.

We select a flat sinker, approximately equal in size to the cork itself, and attach it to the back of the cork using a sliding mount. In the cork itself, we make a hole in the center of its base and pass the fishing line with leashes there, or the leashes will be attached from the sides through the holes in the cork.

Technique for catching crucian carp on a cork

Cork can be caught in summer, spring and autumn. When carrying out such fishing, you should throw the rig away from the coastline. The process takes place as the cork slowly falls from the base to the bottom. Thus, the complementary food in the cork itself becomes available to the crucian carp, because it lays down by the feeding itself up.

In some situations, crucian carp begin to be hooked almost from the first minutes of throwing the cork rig. Carps are hooked spontaneously, but it is necessary to equip a bite alarm system, you can use a bell. It should be noted that, besides crucian carp, this method is used to catch a wide variety of fish, therefore, do not be surprised if, after pulling out the tackle, you find bream or perch on the hook.

  1. It is imperative to equip the cork rig with a bite alarm system.
  2. The feeding agent for crucian carp should not be made too thick or liquid, it should not fall apart immediately when it gets into the water.
  3. You can use this type of rig without bait.
  4. Do not take unnecessarily large hooks that are difficult to hide in the cork itself.

Tackle "cork" is simple plug from a plastic bottle, to which leashes with hooks are attached, and a weight is attached to the bottom. The bait is hammered inside, and already in it we hide our hooks. The principle of operation is that the fish swims up to the bait, tastes it and, together with the food, sucks in the hook and is hooked.

A bell can be attached to the top of the rod to signal a bite. Cork can be caught both from the boat and from the shore. It is also convenient for fishing at night. This tackle is relevant for any day.

V winter period catching time for a traffic jam is ineffective, but at the beginning of spring, when peaceful fish goes to spawn, good luck can come even at shallow depths.
In summer, the biting does not last long, mainly in the morning or in the evening, in the daytime the fish stands still in the pits and you will need to look for it.

In the autumn period, the fish can be compared to a bear, it walks along the bottom and looks for food. Autumn is the best time for fishing.

The cork is good for catching crucian carp, carp, carp, mullet,. It is better to put foam on the hooks, and then hide it in the bait. When immersed in water, the cork runs smoothly and smoothly due to the weight. When washed with water, the foam floats, luring the fish. If the bite does not suit you, then instead of foam, you can plant corn, pearl barley, a worm or some other bait that will be more suitable for fishing.

Cork has many advantages:

  • the tackle is very simple and can be made at home, with your own hands;
  • there is no need to hook the fish, as it sucks on hooked feed and detects itself;
  • you can fish at any depth and distance from the coast;
  • suitable for fishing any kind of peaceful fish.

Cork tackle

You can attach the plug to almost any type of fishing rod.
If you fish near the shore, it is better to use short spinning rods 2.1-2.7 meters. If there are thickets of plants, then it will be convenient to use rods with a length of 3-3.6 meters.

There are no special requirements for the type of cork coil. Best used with a friction brake.

The choice of fishing line should be taken seriously, you must decide exactly where the fishing will take place, and what kind of fish you are counting on. In a clean pond, you can equip the reel with a 0.2 mm line. If there is algae, the thickness of the line increases to 0.35 mm. You need to wind 50-100 meters of mono line on the reel.

The size of the hook is taken according to the size of the fish. This choice again depends on where you plan to fish.

For the manufacture of tackle "cork" are independently used common and available materials:

  • plastic bottle stopper;
  • lead weight;
  • lure;
  • leashes with hooks;
  • wire.

The color of the cork, in principle, does not really matter, because the smell is important for the fish, not the color, and yet some fishermen advise to choose the color either yellow or white.

Four holes are punctured in the cork on the sides, leashes with hooks are inserted into them, and one hole is made in the center of the plug, in which the main fishing line is attached. The number of hooks used can be several.

For leashes from 5 to 10 cm long, it is advisable to use a braid. The lead weight is attached to the inside of the plug with ordinary wire, leaving a twist inside. Next, the trough is filled with groundbait.

Bait for fishing

For bait, you can use any porridge: semolina, wheat, corn, etc. It can also be bread crumb, dough. You can add to the groundbait (within the normal range). The correct consistency of bait is very important: if you make it too thin, it will quickly wash out with water, and if it is too viscous, it will be difficult for the fish to suck it out of the feeder.

Having pulled out the hooks from the cork, we fill it with bait, and only then we insert them into the bait with the sting upwards.

Each fisherman has his own recipes for making groundbait. The most common is semolina porridge. Recipe:

  1. We take semolina and water, in equal proportions.
  2. Pour water into a saucepan, put on fire, and wait for it to boil.
  3. After the water has boiled, we begin to gradually add semolina, stirring constantly.
  4. When the porridge becomes homogeneous, remove from heat, cover with a lid and wrap with a blanket.
  5. After half an hour, we open our porridge and grease our hands with vegetable oil, knead it with our hands.
  6. Then you can divide it into several parts and add your own flavor to each.

Fishing technique

First of all, you must decide where exactly you will fish. After all, the result of good fishing depends on the choice the right place... Corking is best done in bodies of water with stagnant water or a weak current, because if the current is strong, then it can very quickly wash out even the densest and most viscous bait from the feeder.

Cork can be caught in the wildest thickets, when fishing in which any other tackle cannot be avoided.

The casting method depends on the reservoir. This will be much easier on a spacious lake with little vegetation. Cast the bait at the junction of water and grass or through windows pure water between the algae. After the tackle has been thrown, the line must be tightened so that it does not sag. A bell is attached to the fishing line in order to hear the bite.

The float should not sit very deep in the water- less than half. The distance between the hook and the float is slightly more than the depth of the pond where you are fishing. The fish quite quickly finds the bait and eats it, sucking the porridge with hooks.

It is impossible to miss a bite, because the fish is tightly spotted and reports this moment to your signaling device. You just have to pull out the fish. Many fishermen are still afraid to miss a bite and hang bells as signaling devices.

Features of cork fishing for different types of fish

  1. Catching crucian carp in a cork is very simple. This is a rather unpretentious fish. It is found in muddy lakes, ponds, prefers a calm place, often found in rivers. It is best to catch crucian carp at dawn and evening time, after the decline of the daytime heat. During the day, he is also caught, but not so actively. Taste enhancers for crucian cork will be spicy aromas: garlic, dill. Flavors should be added at the last time the feed is mixed.
  2. Bream can be caught at any time of the year. In summer - he swims far from the coast, to a depth. Doesn't like bream fast flow and noise, therefore, when fishing, silence must be observed. Despite the fact that bream is a very cautious fish, it bites well on steamed peas, canned corn, millet and barley. In addition, bream has a strong sense of smell, and the aroma of bait has a good effect on the fishing result. If the water is cold, the fish reacts to pungent, spicy aromas (cinnamon, coriander, garlic), and if warm, various sweet smells work great - vanilla, caramel, anise, and also fruit aromas. And do not forget that the so-called “sandwiches” can sometimes be used with a very bad bite.
  3. Carp is a cautious fish. It can live both in a deep lake and in a pond overgrown with grass. Depending on the weather, you need to choose a fishing spot. If the weather is warm, carp should be caught in shallow water, but if it is cold, it is better to move away from the coast. At the base of the bait, any grain mixture is used, and various cereals are also taken: wheat, oat, barley. For aroma, you can take anise, vanilla, mint, garlic, dill, sunflower seeds are also used.
  4. The carp lives near the coast where there is vegetation. Early in the morning and in the evening, he likes to eat near the shore. Steamed peas are used as, you can also use corn flour, cook a very thick porridge from it. For scent, you can add anise or sunflower oil. If you catch carp in the spring, add chopped worms and porridge to the cake. In summer, use only plant-based foods. Add flavors.
  5. When fishing for mullet, a good time the day before the storm and thereafter, until the sea was completely calm. Complete calm makes fishing for mullet not very successful. The most effective bait when fishing for mullet is considered to be a mixture that includes bread, minced anchovy, wheat flour, and processed cheese.
  1. Bring some spare gear with you. During an active catch, you can quickly re-hook the cork to a new one filled with food using a carabiner.
  2. To connect the main line to the plug, it is better to use a swivel with a carabiner. It will prevent the line from twisting and will speed up the installation and dismantling of the feeder.
  3. Do not overdo it when adding flavorings to the groundbait, it can scare the fish away;
  4. Prepare your groundbait just before fishing. Better to moisten it with water from the reservoir where you fish.

Today we will talk about a rather popular tackle from the USSR called "cork" or "nipple". The tackle is very effective when fishing for crucian carp and other white fish, as well as perch. It belongs to flat donks, only it is very easy to make it with your own hands from improvised materials.

Step-by-step instructions for making tackle "cork"

    To make this tackle, we need:
  • Plastic lid from 5 liters. containers, milk, etc .;
  • Lead for smelting;
  • Swivel, or two swivels;
  • Hook;
  • Plaster or wooden board;

First, we need to make a sinker for our donkey. I decided to cast it into a plaster mold. I cast the plaster mold according to the template of our lid, I just submerged it a little using the same mixture. The lead can be molded into any shape of similar diameter, or cut from a wooden board. But since I do all of this at home, I try to avoid wood when pouring lead as it starts to burn and stink a lot.

After the form dries well, you can make 2 shallow holes as in the photo, these will be our locks, with which we will attach the plug to the sinker.

You can find out more about how to make a form and fill a sinker on this page.

In general, you do not have to limit yourself in the choice of sinkers for the cork, you can use anything, for example, cut sheet metal with screw locks. You can always find at hand something from which one could make a weight for such a tackle.

Now melt the lead and pour it into the mold. You need to fill it exclusively in a dry form. If the mold is not completely dry, put it in the oven and gradually increase the temperature to 60 degrees, dry for about 15-30 minutes.

We glue between the lid and the sinker with a glue gun and flatten our locks from the top side.

After the sinker has been fixed. We begin to make a channel for the fishing line. We just make through holes through the side walls and insert some kind of tube there. I found one in my kitchen. We insert it and melt the ends on both sides so that it locks in place.

And already from the swivel a small leash with a hook (5 cm).

You can also tie another leash with hooks to the side walls of the lid.

The tackle is ready, now you can fill it with groundbait and go after the crucian carp!

Bait for catching crucian carp on the "plug"

Do not count how many bait options exist for the feeder tackle. But for our tackle any kind of bait is not suitable. If you can somehow use a little crumbly groundbait on the feeder feeder, then on the cork it is extremely viscous and plastic, which should stretch well.

The simplest groundbait for cork is mixing semolina and bread crumb with water. The recipe is extremely simple. Crumb the bread crumb into the dish and pour the semolina in a 1: 1 ratio. Then we rub it all with our hands, gradually adding water until you get the desired consistency. You can add different artificial and natural flavors, or bait for the smell, the main thing is not to overdo it with the bait. It is worth mentioning that the crucian carp loves such natural flavors as garlic, cinnamon, anise, cloves and is attracted even by such a remedy as WD 40. In general, crucian carp can be called a lover of sweets.

There are also many commercially available complementary foods for feeder fishing... Even if the bait is not plastic enough, you can always add semolina until you get enough effect.

Features and nuances of catching on "cork"

If you have never caught a crucian carp in a cork, then you just need to familiarize yourself with the main features and nuances of catching in a cork.

  • We have just talked about bait, do not forget that the success of catching with the "cork" largely depends on the quality of the bait and good placement of the bait in the cork.
  • The hook should be well fixed in the groundbait, i.e. the eyelet and 1/3 part of the forend in the bait, and prying and the sting with the bait outside.
  • As with all fishing tackle, cork does not eliminate snags, so during active biting you can rip off your rig, so you should be prepared to have several options in stock.
  • You can also use foam rubber at the bottom of the cork, having previously impregnated it with a fragrance. This will preserve the aroma for a long time.
  • Experiment with bait selection by placing 2-3 options and baits on one cork so you will find the best bait for yourself and thanks to this method of scientific poking, remember when and under what conditions the fish take this or that bait willingly, and which not.
