The stage of the World Cup in rhythmic gymnastics... Medals will be played both in individual all-around and in group exercises, where Belarus will be represented by Anna Shvaiba, Lolita Matskevich, Diana Misyuchenko, Anastasia Rybakova and Anna Gaidukevich. Our team is one of the youngest in the tournament.

Anastasia Rybakova,Diana Misyuchenko, Anna Shvaiba, Anna Gaidukevich, Lolita Matskevich

Anna Shvaiba

Anna Shvaiba from Minsk is now 18 years old. She devoted 14 of them to gymnastics. The girl grew up in sports family- her father Pavel Shvaiba plays in the national mini-football championships and beach soccer... I got into rhythmic gymnastics by accident:

- First, my grandfather brought me to artistic gymnastics. We practiced one day, and when we returned home, we met Dad. He said that he had found a rhythmic gymnastics section and offered to try it. Liked. I remember when I took third place at school competitions for the first time, I was delighted - I became one of the few girls who got on the podium. In the meantime, for me the most important reward- gold in the group exercise at the 2015 European Championships.

Gymnastics is a sport in which you need to strictly monitor your shape and weight. Despite this, one of Ani Schweib's main hobbies is cooking:

- I like to cook very much. For example, meat or fish, baked goods. Of course, in winter we have to limit ourselves more, but in spring and summer, when we are actively exercising, sometimes I can afford something sweet, although I try to eat right. I cook more often on weekends, so I treat everyone who is at home: parents, sister, grandparents.

Anastasia Rybakova

Nastya Rybakova is also 18 years old. She was born in Grodno, and got into sports almost immediately after birth:

- My mother is a trainer in rhythmic gymnastics, so almost from the cradle I was with her in the gym, and at the age of three I started doing this sport myself. Mom was my first coach. Now at home we also talk about gymnastics, discuss training, but not often - there must be variety.

Anastasia Rybakova is a titled athlete. Among the most valuable awards for her are gold and silver at the 2015 European Championships in the group exercise, as well as silver and bronze at the 2014 European Championships in individual competitions. She is not going to stop there: the II European Games in Minsk are ahead, and main start Fourth Anniversary - Tokyo Olympics. The girl's hobbies are unusual:

- Recently I got hooked on Korean dramas. Liked "I am not a robot", "Scarlet hearts of Kore", "Between two worlds". In principle, I like cinema and everything connected with it. And I also like to draw and do scrapbooking - the design of diaries and other things.

Lolita Matskevich

Lolita is one of the youngest girls on our team in the group exercise. Her grandfather was the USSR master of sports in artistic gymnastics, and her dad was engaged in cycling. True, the Lolita family did not plan that the girl would also become an athlete:

- I was sent to gymnastics at the age of five to correct my gait - I raked me with my left foot. As my mom says, it's been 11 years now and we are trying to align her. I was drawn into rhythmic gymnastics almost immediately. I remember very well the first performance at the Baby Cup. We performed with my friend Ksyusha, and I was a monkey. We had baskets of bananas, and we had to eat them right during the performance. Two years ago I was taken to youth team in the group exercise, and then at the European Championships we took second place, and last year we were already transferred to the senior team.

Now Lolita has entered the 11th grade. She says there are no problems with her studies: gymnasts - individual training:

- We are given sheets with assignments for the whole quarter. We carry them out and pass them, and if you need to write some kind of control, we come to school. V free time I draw. Two years ago, my trainer gave me a sketchbook, and I really enjoyed drawing with black pen on white sheets. In general, drawing is addictive: once they gave me a painting by numbers with a picture of a horse, I started to draw it, but abandoned it due to lack of time, and as soon as the vacation began, I finished it in three hours.

Diana Misyuchenko

Diana Misyuchenko is 16 years old. She came to gymnastics later than the rest of the girls from the team - at the age of 7:

- My parents and I were just looking for something to keep me busy. I really wanted to sculpt from clay, and my mother's friend saw at the bus stop an ad about recruiting for rhythmic gymnastics. At first I did not quite understand what it was, but my parents suggested trying it - and it remained. At first I didn't like it very much: I trained with little girls. And then, when I was transferred to an older group, where we began to do some elements, I got involved.

In her free time, Diana draws, walks with friends and reads.

Anna Gaidukevich

Now 17-year-old Anya Gaidukevich was brought by her mother to gymnastics, having also seen an advertisement for a recruitment into the section. Then the girl did not know what it was, but the new kind I liked the sport immediately. It was interesting to be in the company of other children and to train. With many of those gymnasts with whom she now performs together, she has known since childhood. He assures: the girls' relationship, despite all the stereotypes that female friendship does not exist, are good - they support each other and always try to help. In her free time, Anya prefers to have an active rest - for example, she can meet with friends or go cycling.

Despite her young age, the gymnast has many awards. Among them are medals from the World Cup stages and the gold of the World Gymnasium. The girl will have a chance to replenish the collection this weekend. Anna Gaidukevich says about her goals for the home stage of the World Cup:

- Of course, there is excitement, because we will perform at home, and this adds responsibility. Now there are many very strong teams, but I try not to think about competitors. First of all, we need to overcome ourselves. We will show everything that we have prepared and try to do it well.

"Girls under 5 years old for rhythmic gymnastics are wanted" - such an announcement will touch the heart of any mother of a girl. Indeed, in childhood, almost all mothers dream of becoming thin flexible gymnasts who conquer the tops of pedestals.

If rhythmic gymnastics is as close to your daughter as it is to you, then we suggest taking a look at our review of the sections and sports schools where you can find Better conditions and educators for your child.

Most experts agree that it is best to start classes at the age of 3-4 years. During this period, the girls have already well-formed bones, and the muscles and ligaments are quite elastic. And, having brought a girl at the age of 6 to the rhythmic gymnastics section, be prepared to hear that it is too late for you. So, if you are sure that this is indeed the very sport that suits your daughter so well, do not waste precious time!
