Handmade winter baubles drawings. DIY winter baubles for perch

Homemade tackle seasoned fishermen appreciate. For example, making a spoon with your own hands is a kind of mastering a special art. Although this activity is not very difficult and does not require large expenses.

But now in Russia there are many real enthusiasts and masters of this business, and, moreover, a lot of options for such spinners have appeared. And many of them are much more catchy than the most expensive branded ones, because they are adapted to this particular fishing area and to the predatory fish that live in this reservoir.

Types of homemade spinners

It is believed that there are 3 types of homemade spinners:

  • hesitant, - they imitate the game of a fish with an amplitude of oscillations, such a tackle is made, say, from a spoon, from brass blanks or even a tube;
  • rotating, - here the fish is attracted by the rotation of the tackle, - the main types: petal and spoon with impellers;
  • balance, - used for winter sheer fishing.

Advantages

The famous author of books on spinning fishing Viktor Andreev described an interesting case. Once they came with friends to the same lake to fish for pikes. Moreover, they arrived purposefully, since, according to the stories of other fishermen, these gray predators were apparently invisible in this reservoir. We settled down, took out branded spinners. They began to throw - nothing. Not a single prey. Already getting ready to leave, the old man comes to the shore with some rusty homemade spoon, and let's carry large pikes.

The fishermen could not believe their eyes. And the reason was simple. The fact is that in this lake pikes are accustomed to hunting rotans. They have a dark color. And the city spinners came with their trademark shiny spoons, to which the pike did not react.

They had to urgently smoke their imported tackle at the stake. Since then, according to the author, he became interested in homemade products for fishing and now considers them his most favorite tackle.

Indeed, the following factors should be attributed to the advantages of homemade spinners:

  • you can make your own custom tackle, which will be catchy exactly in the reservoir where you usually fish;
  • it is not difficult to make it from almost any available materials;
  • financial costs are minimal;
  • making such a tackle is considered simple;
  • the field for experimentation is simply enormous;
  • the number of fishing lures depends on your desire;
  • such home production is not time-consuming;
  • finally, the low cost will not make you particularly regret if the bait breaks off - make another one.

comparison table

Now it is clear why many Russian fishermen prefer to prepare the tackle themselves. But if financial opportunities allow you, and you should not give up high-quality foreign products either.

Expert opinion

Important! Some fishermen closely follow the novelties of store production, buy them for review, and then make improved analogs.

And the main thing to remember when choosing a spoon is the cheaper it is, the poorer the material from which it is made, it will oxidize. And hardly anyone will make a homemade product from completely waste metal.

Spoons for different fish

For pike perch

Pike perch is a fish that loves space and oxygen, so it is useless to catch it, say, in a swampy area. And in winter you need to try very hard to find it. But fishing for this fish has its own advantages.

Expert opinion

Knipovich Nikolay Mikhailovich

Zoologist, hydrobiologist. I am fond of fishing at a professional level.

Important! Unlike pike, pike perch often rushes to the bait immediately, so that the approach of the fish can be expected immediately after casting.

A few years ago, ordinary spoons were used to catch this species. But gradually they were replaced by spinning models and silicone baits... However, there are places where spinning anglers reach a good catch with old-style models.

Let's give an example of making a simple but catchy model for zander:

  • cut out a template of the required shape and size from cardboard, usually 6-10 cm;
  • we apply a template to the metal from a tin can;
  • cut out;
  • we clean it with sandpaper;
  • we make 2 holes at the edges, thread a wire through them;
  • bend the ends with holes at an angle of 90 degrees;
  • we attach a small bead to the wire on one side;
  • we attach the hook so that it is in a hanging position.

Tackle can be brightly colored, zander likes bright colors... In muddy water, you can also tint a bead.

Now we check the spinning of the spoon. To do this, just blow on it. Rotates - go fishing.

For pike

The pike is one of the most coveted prey of the spinning rod. Usually she is caught on homemade spinners, since it is very easy to make them. As a material you can use:

  • stainless steel;
  • lead;
  • copper;
  • tin;
  • brass.

The latter material is the most attractive of all, it oxidizes less.

The easiest way to make a pike lure is to cut off the handle of a regular spoon and attach a hook to it and a ring for fastening on the other side. Such a tackle is very reminiscent of bleak, and the pike adores it.

In winter, pike is caught on a balancer - the only spinner that moves vertically in the water. To do this, a blank is cast and a fixture is made in the middle of the simulated fish. The ebb mold is usually made of plaster.

Perch

Ichthyologists distinguish between two types of perch: small grassy and deep-sea. Therefore, when fishing for this fish, take into account its size: small perch will never come up to large bait. The optimal size is 5 cm.

The perch is an active fish. He needs to be attracted by playing spinners. But he is also curious, so fishermen often attach tassels, artificial fins, or just bright beads to homemade products.

Zoologist, hydrobiologist. I am fond of fishing at a professional level.

Important! Often these elements serve as a camouflage for hooks that can scare off fish.

But what can attract a perch is the color of the bait. Moreover, it is not at all necessary to make it yellow or shiny. Some fishermen assure that this fish willingly goes for a red tint, others catch a blue one.

It is also easy to make a spoon by yourself. It is curious, for example, to use ordinary medical tweezers. The necessary workpiece is cut out of it, moreover, part of it should be corrugated, and the other - smooth. Hook, ponytail, etc. are attached according to the general scheme.

Material for making

White spinners

This type of tackle - most popular with spinning... White baubles are reminiscent of a fish with white scales in color. And the predator goes to her willingly. Usually used for manufacturing:

  • steel;
  • zinc;
  • cupronickel;
  • silver.

The first two materials are easy to manufacture, but have one significant drawback, - they give a bright glow, especially in sunny weather. This can scare the fish away. Therefore, steel and zinc are used for fishing in cloudy weather.

But cupronickel and silver do not react to sunlight like that, and in general, many fishermen endow especially silver with the magical properties of catchability.

Brass

Sometimes, for some inexplicable reason, a predatory fish stops noticing white spinners and starts chasing yellow ones. Mostly they are made from brass. To do this, you can purchase standard brass sheets or use old utensils such as were previously made.

Craftsmen make good spinners from copper.

Aluminum

Excellent workable material, easy to polish. But due to the lightness of such blanks, they often have to be heavier. And this metal is also quickly oxidized in water and takes on a gray tint. Therefore, it is recommended to paint spoons from this material.

However, the same lightness of this bait gives an excellent opportunity to arrange an enticing game with it both in winter and in summer.

Stainless steel

Has a high margin of safety. Easy to cut and bend. Hobbyists often use stainless steel tubing, which is weighted down with lead. A very catchy tackle in the winter with sheer trolling.

Many celebrate good speed diving such bait.

It is considered that especially she is a catcher for walleye.

Spoons and seasons

At different times of the year, you should use and make different similar gear.

In the spring

In early spring, the pike does not chase large specimens, but prepares for spawning. And other predatory fish do not show the proper activity yet. Therefore, spinners should be used medium-sized and running.

Summer

In the summer already has great importance not the size of the bait, but its ability to play. Use bright colors for painting, this time of year it is preferable to choose a rotating and movable tackle.

Autumn

In the fall, the fish prepares for wintering; large spoons and heavy spoons are already suitable here.

Winter

Here comes the time of balancers - vertical spinning replaces the horizontal one. The tackle should be heavy, but easy to play at the bottom.

DIY making

Rotating

To make this quite catchy spoon, you will need the following tools and materials:

  • pliers;
  • awl;
  • hammer;
  • a can of beer, Pepsi, etc .;
  • clip;
  • threads;
  • beads;
  • tee or hook - optional.

Now we start the process itself:

  1. We make a straight wire from a paper clip (you can just take a wire.
  2. Cut a petal or several in the form of propellers from the jar.
  3. A hole is pierced in the petal with an awl.
  4. It is put on a wire and bent so that it can rotate.
  5. Beads are placed between the propellers to make rotation easier.
  6. Ears are made at the ends of the wire to attach the hook and main line.
  7. Tie multi-colored threads to the tee.

There are more complex manufacturing methods, but this one is very suitable for beginners.

Vibrator

Choosing materials:

  • metal sheet with a thickness of about 3 mm;
  • hardwood timber (oak, beech);
  • plasticine;

Now the tools:

  • hacksaw for metal;
  • hammer;
  • chisels;
  • strikers from reinforcement bars;
  • drill;
  • hook or tee;
  • swivel;
  • clockwork rings.

We start manufacturing according to the drawing:

  1. We make a template out of cardboard.
  2. We cut out the metal according to the template.
  3. We make a recess in the tree for the desired shape of the spoon.
  4. We check its correctness with plasticine.
  5. With the help of strikers and a hammer, we give the metal a given shape.
  6. 2 holes are drilled along the edges of the spoon.
  7. They clean up irregularities.
  8. Equip the tackle with a hook, swivel and rings.

For fishing in troubled waters

This tackle is especially good for catching perch. Materials and tools:

  • a piece of chrome-plated pipe 1.5 cm;
  • scissors for metal;
  • drill for metal;
  • tin, soldering iron;
  • pliers;
  • file;
  • hook or tee.

Now we are working:

  1. We cut the pipe into 2 parts.
  2. We remove one of them for good, and unbend the other, but not completely.
  3. We give it the shape of a fish.
  4. We melt the hook with a tin.
  5. We melt the fish with tin completely.

This tackle does not rust and is perfectly visible in muddy water due to its almost mirror-like surface.

A tube

We select materials:

  • aluminum tube;
  • lead;
  • sandpaper;
  • swivels, hook, etc.

The tube is cut to the desired size under different bevels. Filled with lead. The rest of the parts are attached to the holes made from different sides.

"Bullet"

Oscillating spoons with your own hands, choosing the most catchy spoons - a chapter from Viktor Andreev's book "Spoons and wobblers for spinning". Fishing with a spoiler - an overview, types, models, play, posting, a choice of catchy oscillating lures, advice for novice spinners.

The most catchy vibrator

Once upon a time I literally prayed for "branded" baits and thought that it couldn't be better. However, with age, I began to understand that even today's ideal could be improved tomorrow.

After all, there is no absolute bait that is suitable always and everywhere. Each lure is created for its own fish, its own line, its depth - and for these conditions it can be ideal (although even here different colors will give a tangible difference in biting).

Therefore, it is always helpful to remember that good spoon- this is the one that best suits today's fishing conditions.

I remember an anecdotal case when three “packed” spinning players arrived at a pond, where, as they were told, “pikes are not measured!”. They catch an hour, the second is empty. Played, they think. But the local old man comes and starts to drag the kilogram pikes on the rusty shaker.

How??? Why???

It turned out that only decent pikes and rotans live in this pond. And the local "toothy" was so accustomed to the leisurely swimming dark prey that she did not even react to any shiny "toys". And our branded spinners were also generously pasted over with the newly appeared "flex".

I had to urgently rip off the stickers and "smoke" the vibrators at the stake. Only then did we start biting.

So which lure is the most catchy?

Homemade spoons - do you need to "reinvent the wheel"?

Actually, I'm a big fan of homemade products. And the village old man had his own spoon, ideally adapted to local conditions. True, already on the neighboring river it was useless.

But it is not easy to make an oscillating spoon by yourself - and, perhaps, it is not necessary. But to choose the most successful samples and, if necessary, modify them under local conditions - everyone can do it.

The most catchy do-it-yourself spoon bait

When buying an oscillating spoon, you must first evaluate the body of the bait itself. Everything else is easy to replace. You can take only blanks from the craftsmen, and equip them yourself. By the way, it is much easier to work with such blanks, because they are usually stamped from sheet brass and subsequently easily processed.

Layout

Let's start with the fact that there are often still good shape spinners, but arranged somehow.

Sometimes, when stamping, burrs remain - we will grind them off, and at the same time we will round off the sharp edges. Then we will deal with the holes for the winding rings. For free play, it is desirable that the diameter of these holes is at least twice the height of the winding rings. Drill holes and countersunk their edges if necessary.

The dimensions of all elements must be harmonious. Special attention turn on hooks. Not only are they of high quality and the right size, it is desirable to have dark hooks. After all, a light anti-corrosion coating is made for salt water, and in fresh water, excess shine can only alert the fish.

Shape change

The easiest way to change the play of a spinner is to reduce its bulge. I used to “rule” the cobblestone when I was once overly active “wave” while fishing. If, on the contrary, the “wave” played sluggishly, it was necessary to additionally bend its front and back parts.

But the spoon bait behaves differently. Here, a flatter model, on the contrary, activates the game - the oscillator moves further to the sides and even begins to rotate.

If necessary, you can change not only the bulge, but even the very shape of the spoon. True, it is difficult to predict in advance what will happen later. But if we are not satisfied with the bait, why not try it? After all, for filing you only need a file or an emery wheel.

For example, let's take a wide S-shaped oscillator and see what can be obtained from it (Fig. 1).

Fig. 1. Lure filing: a) symmetrical, b) front, c) rear, d) asymmetric.

If you evenly remove the metal from the top and bottom edges of the spoon, you get a similar but narrower model (Figure 1a). The new bait will not oscillate as actively, but more stable, which means that such a modification is useful for accelerated retrieval or for fishing in the current.

If you "cut" the top and bottom only on the front part of the spoon, then the frequency of its oscillations will increase, and the amplitude will decrease (Fig. 1b). And vice versa, if we "cut" back part, we get a vibrator with a wide slow-motion play (Fig. 1c).

To make the game spinning unstable, "prowling" character, you can remove a part of the metal only from above (Fig. 1d).

If you want to leave the shape of the bait unchanged, then you can adjust the activity of the game within small limits by changing the bevels (Fig. 2).

Another way to change the game is to make your spinner lighter or heavier. In the first case, part of the metal is grinded from the surface, in the second, it is soldered. If different "pairs" appear at the same time, then a bimetallic spoon with its own electric field is obtained.

Soldering is often useful for giving the swingarm better glide properties.

Additional elements

You can experiment with various additional elements to give the lure new properties.

First of all, these can be acoustic holes and channels, both transverse and oblique. They are made on some "cut" lures, but they may well be justified on ordinary spoons.

A faceted glass eye is considered a very useful element, and it is not difficult to drill three holes and insert the desired bead on the wire.

And why, for example, not try to add one or two additional petals to the vibrator?

If there are no hooks, and the fish takes sluggishly, an additional hook installed in the front or in the middle of the bobbin will help.

And, finally, from your favorite spoon you can make a non-hook by replacing the "regular" tee with a hook with a safety mustache.

Hook attachment

A bright additional element on the tee not only disguises the hook itself, but also attracts the attention of a predator and serves as a "sight" for it. Usually, a bright cambric or a thin plastic tail is used for this (Fig. 3).

Fig. 3. Additional element on the hook: a) cambric, b) plate.

For brightness, the tail can be pasted over with orange or acid-green "flex" - sometimes it noticeably revives the bite.

An even greater effect can be obtained if you put a twister on the tee of the spinner (Fig. 4a).

Fig. 4. Additional bait on the hook: a) twister, b) rubber tail.

However, it makes the tee heavier and can negatively affect the play of the entire bait, so the rubber attachment must be used selectively.

You can cut the twister yourself out of thin rubber gloves (Fig. 4b) and put it on the forend. The lighter version has less influence on the own play of the oscillator, and it also has an attractive effect on the fish.

Color change

Even the most proven model can misfire if the color does not match the specific conditions. For example, the baubles are white and shiny, and the sun is bright in the sky. Even if a predator comes out on such a bait, then it does not want to peck.

I used to take coarse sandpaper and scratch over shiny surfaces. Now I prefer to reduce the "shine" of the spoon by drawing with paints or waterproof markers (Fig. 5).

By the way, this is not a waste of time, but a completely justified action. I have had repeated cases when only the coloring of the shaker "for a perch" made the pike take the bait. And try to guess which fish ended up in her stomach during cleaning?

But the spoon can not only be painted.

Reflective stickers sometimes double or triple our catch. The most typical options for using "flex" are shown in Fig.6.

The "flex" is especially effective on an active and aggressive predator. In this case, a bright sticker will draw the fish's attention to the spoon much faster.

Once on the Kola Peninsula, I saw an incredibly painted shaker. However, it was on her that the local fisherman on a sunny day in the purest water caught a kilogram trout. Rather, for fun, I glued all my spinner with the four brightest segments of yellow, green, orange and red "flex" - and three spotted beauties-fish became a "valuable gift" for the invention. It seems that this time the northern fish was let down by its aggressiveness.

To the south, the picture is the opposite - with good illumination, muted colors work better: pink, gray, bronze. They are also preferable for a cautious predator.

Small contrasting details are always useful on a spoon. For example, I like to stick diamonds, circles or thin strips of "flex". It seems to me that with a good bite, silver and red elements are more effective, and with a bad bite, golden and pink elements.

Small parts are glued to the convex side without problems, but large ones sometimes bulge. In this case, we will cut out several narrow side "wedges" on the sticker in advance. And so that the "flex" does not lag behind, the surface of the spoon is first degreased and slightly heated with a hairdryer. Now all the fish are ours!

Let's start by looking at what winter hobby tackle is.

  1. Fishing rod. (float, nod).
  2. Fishing rod for trolling (lures, balancers, rubber lures).
  3. Zherlitsa.

In this article, we'll talk about trolling, or rather, what kind of winter lures for perch are used for fishing.

Fishing rod for lure

Since we are talking about winter lure fishing, we will dwell a little on the fishing rod. Unlike summer ones, it has a small size from 35 cm to 70., a reel or a reel for winding the fishing line.

The shorter the whip, the less active the game can be achieved, which leads to more effective fishing in the wilderness.

A bit of history

Even in ancient times, people understood that an object moving under water lured a predator and began to use it for making baits until they learned how to mine metal.

  • a rock,
  • tree,
  • animal bones.

In our time, there is no such need, since fishing shops sell a lot of different catchable lures made by the factory.

And yet, keen inquisitive people prefer to make spoons for perch with their own hands.

How to make a perch spinner

Consider the drawings, which indicate the dimensions of the lures.

Matveychikova.

As you can see from the drawing, the shape is not at all complicated and at a minimum cost, you can make a catchy bait. For manufacturing, you need a metal plate, which can be easily straightened with a hammer from copper tube by sawing along. To transfer a drawing; pencil, scribe for metal. Anvil, hammer, chisel; to punch out the workpiece. A file for rough processing of a part, a file for a fine one. Vice; to bend the plate at an angle. Soldering iron, soldering flux, tin; solder the hook and loop and create the shape. Fine sandpaper, sewing needle; remove irregularities. Felt, goyi paste; for polishing.
Having all the tools listed above, you can easily make a winter lure for fishing pike and perch, which has its own special appearance and the game.

Video game baubles Matveychikova.

I'd like to note.

It is not necessary to use the exact tool that I wrote about. For example: instead of a vice, you can take pliers, and indeed, use any handyman that you have. The end result is important.

Carnation.

Classic baubles. Looking at the drawing, you can see that for its manufacture you will need two plates, a hook and the entire tool that was described above.

Manufacturing procedure.

We take a plate, transfer the drawings to it, cut it out with a chisel or cut it out with scissors. We adjust the resulting blanks to size with a file. We bend the big one in the indicated place. Using a lighter, lower the metal in the middle of the hook shank and bite with nippers. With pliers we bend the lowered one at an angle of 90 degrees, we tin.
We solder the hook in the front part, and the forend in the thin back. Along the entire base, we tin metal from the soldering side of the tip. We grab the second flat plate. We fill the space between them with tin. With a file, then with a file, remove the irregularities. We polish and do-it-yourself winter baubles for perch.

The tube.

Probably the easiest lure to make for perch in winter. To make it, you will need any 7-12 mm tube. Drill, drill, ruler, hacksaw for metal and file.

Manufacturing procedure.

We select a tube of the required diameter. Depending on the diameter, the size of the larger side of 50-80 mm is selected. Marks are put, from them the angle is chosen to which the tube will be sawn. The front is at an angle of 30-60 degrees towards the tail. The tail is at an angle of 20 degrees to the front. A hole is drilled in the long back part for a winding ring for a hook. There are two more holes in the head front. One hole is drilled on the long side, the other on the short side, for the carabiner. By changing the attachment of the carabiner, we change the game of the bait.

For even greater catchability, the lure can be equipped with a turbine. The impeller is cut out of a tube of smaller diameter 3-4 mm wide, holes are drilled in the center opposite each other. At a distance of 5-6 mm from the edge to which the hook is attached, holes are also made opposite each other, into which a steel wire is inserted, an impeller is put on it in the holes, the wire is turned and rolled with the tube material.
The cut points are corrected with a needle file. The spoon is polished, the hook is attached and forward for the trophies.

Castmaster.

One more catchy spoon, a catchy castmaster lure is also not difficult to make, having in stock required material and tool.

There are three ways how to make a castmaster, a spoon with your own hands.

  1. Sawing out from a rod.
  2. Sawing out of the tube
  3. Casting in plaster mold

Making winter spoons for perch

As a material, any rod of a round or multifaceted shape, with a diameter of 10-20 mm, is used, most often copper, brass, stainless steel.

Tool

  • Ruler, protractor, scribe to size the workpiece.
  • A hacksaw, a vice, a file for cutting and rough processing of a spoon.
  • Drill with a drill for making holes.
  • Polishing accessories.

We make a spoon

The first way

We clamp the rod in a vice, mark the cutting angle. A mark is placed along the edge of the workpiece, an angle of 17 degrees to the left or right is selected from it, it does not matter, the first cut is made. We retreat from the edge of 2 mm, select the second angle of 23 degrees, and cut it off with a hacksaw. We trim the irregularities with a file, drill holes for the hook and carabiner, polish, collect the spoon.

The second way is from the tube.

Everything is the same, but the spoon turns out to be hollow and light. You can leave it as it is, or you can make it heavier by first filling the void with molten lead or tin.

The third way

You will need gypsum, lead, fire.
According to the original, a mold is made into plaster and filled with molten lead.

Balda

Bottom tool for catching perch. Why? Because the game of this tackle is directly related to its lowering to the bottom. After it is lowered, it is slightly stirred without tearing it off the ground, creating the appearance of a swarming insect or fish in the silt, occasionally raising and lowering it again to the bottom.
Do-it-yourself spoon bait for perch for winter fishing from the bottom is quite simple to make.

Materials:

  • Conical sinker olive.
  • Two hooks with long or short shank
  • Cambric, or beads
  • A piece or main line on a fishing rod.

Manufacturing:

We cut the cambric, put it on hooks, cambric are needed in different colors and sizes. Insulation from wires will do. A hole is made on the smaller side of the weight at a distance of 1.5-2 mm. A hook is put on the main line with a sting away from the end, then there is a load and a second hook, dressed in the opposite stolon to the first. The line is folded and a knot is tied. The tackle is ready, it remains to start fishing.

Alga.

Very catchy classic S-shaped lure. At home, fishing for perch is rarely done, since many believe that this type of spinner is for pike.
Because most often they are produced in large sizes and the most common is the third number.
Having made a similar lure Alga, following the example of Protva, which I will talk about below, you can successfully catch perch.

Protva

Another wavering catchable lure similar to the Algu bend, but with a narrower shape and an additional fin-type element.

We are learning how to make such spoons.

Most likely, an ignorant person, starting the manufacture of such a spoon, will remove the dimensions from it, increase or decrease them as much as he wants, and proceed to manufacture.
Perhaps in architecture this will pass, but in the geometric construction of figures there is another rule, such as maintaining the ratio.

For example: Here is a diagram for constructing a conventional spoon spoon. We draw an oval according to the size of the original spoon and to make a similar, but large one, increase it by five millimeters.
Will it be considered similar? No. Since the ratio of the length and width of the original is 2, and a similar one is 1.6.

By increasing the width accordingly, we must increase the length by 2 times, in relation to the width as in the original.

In order to make such a workpiece of a complex shape, it is necessary to apply a conversion factor.
We remove all dimensions from the original, multiplying or dividing them by a conversion factor that is chosen independently, you can get either a smaller or a large similar shape.
And here is an example of how to get a similar bend using a simple graphical drawing.

Thus, from a spoon for fishing pike, you get a similar catchy winter spoon for perch with your own hands.

Ghanduras.

Quite an exotic name for a spoon invented by Russian fishermen, but I would rather say that this is a kind of bait bait, than a separate, independent species. Made Honduras is very similar to bait bait with one difference, instead of a load, a short spoon with a single hook is placed here.

Killer.

A strange-looking bauble, outwardly resembles a cicada with open wings, for this reason in the literature it is called a cicada, and among fishermen it is a perch killer.
These homemade winter perch baubles are easily made from a spinning, willow leaf-shaped petal.
Additional holes are drilled in the petal for the fishing line and the hook, as a rule, is a double; on the side opposite to the hook, a lead weight is attached, a shot or an olive, depending on the size.

The fish is no different large size, the largest specimen caught by fishermen weighed almost 6 kilograms, with a length of over 50 centimeters. Usually, it is possible to catch not large, from 150 to 300 grams of minke whales, the size of a palm, hunting not far from the coast. Humpbacks under 1 kilogram and more rare in catches.

Although the common river perch is very similar in appearance to the American yellow, they are not genetically related.

Winter lures for perch differ from lures for winter fishing for other types of fish only in size. Most often these are small, 3-7 cm, narrow-bodied baits made of copper, brass, stainless steel plates with or without galvanized coating.

To increase the weight and solder the hook, lead is soldered onto one of the surfaces of the spoon. There can be from one to three hooks.
On some models, instead of a soldered hook, a tee or a chain with a hook is hooked through the winding ring.

Oscillation in the water column is created by shape and bending.
Sometimes, for winter fishing, they will exchange summer oscillating spoons of small sizes with a running body.

Winter fishing rods for lure.

A winter rod for fishing, is a handle made of light heat-insulating material (foam, wood, neoprene, etc.) and a thin whip inserted into it made of any durable lightweight material. A fishing rod for trolling, at the request of the angler, is equipped with a reel or reel for winding the fishing line. Many anglers attach a nod to the tip of the whip for better bite control.

“It is important that after tension it should stop immediately. Each spoon has its own nod. The material for manufacturing can be a nipple, a metal plate or a polymer material. Everything that has plasticity ”.

Important “When choosing the length of your fishing rod, consider the season and the activity of the predator. Long, should be 35-70 centimeters. For active play against an active predator, a long whip is preferable, in the wilderness for passive play, a short one ”.

Tackle is not difficult to do with your own hands at home, the main thing is to choose the right material and tool.
As a cord for fishing at depths of 5-6 meters, it is more convenient to use a monofilament line with a diameter of 0.14-0.22 mm according to the domestic classification. Over 5 meters 0.3-0.4 mm.

The line on the reel should be at least 1-2 meters deeper in the intended fishing spot. If possible, wind about 15-30 meters.

It is not advisable to use a thin, light braided line for a fishing rod, it sails strongly in the wind, clings to the edges of the hole and leads to a failure of the correct play of the spoon.
Fishing for tackle, with a small 3-5 centimeter bait, a metal leash is not desirable, coarse material has a bad effect on the vibrations made by the spoon when gliding in the water column and alarms the fish. To quickly change the bait, attach a small carabiner to the end of the line.

Perch baubles how to fish.

The nature of the spinner game can be divided into 4 types.

Carnation.

Spoon of carnations. The most recognizable bauble, known since Soviet times, does not stand out much for its variety of forms, as well as for its game. Works at depths of 1.5-2 meters. The game is played as follows.

We lower it to the bottom. We wind up the fishing line by five centimeters. Further, a smooth rise of 15-30 centimeters and discharge. The lure falls almost vertically, making sedentary vertical oscillations. Sometimes it deviates slightly by 20-30 degrees to the side. Oddly enough, but it is this bottom lure that may be the only one that the perch bite on in the wilderness. Well suited for active perch fishing. By tactile sensations this is one short hit while pulling the line after the bait falls. There are several types (St. Andrew's nail, dead end, ban nail, narrow).

Planners (floating).

Oscillating spoons. A feature of such spinners is that when they fall, they do not fall with a nail, but take a horizontal position and, oscillating, go far away from the hole. Pulling the fishing line, they smoothly descend, waddling from side to side until they assume an upright position.

The bait of such a plan has more a light weight than a nail, the shape of the body has a concavity or convexity, slightly curved. Winter lure of perch is most often carried out on such lures. It allows you to catch perch at depths of up to 5-6 meters, below it turns into an ordinary nail.

The way to play. Slow ascent to a height of up to 60 centimeters and a sharp drop (lowering the rod tip to its original position). Feels like this game when pulling the line resembles a light broach, with virtually no impact.
If necessary, the technique for catching perch at depths of more than 6 meters, changes from wide swings to short, sharp throws and lowering of the rod, the swing is equal to the length of the bait. The names of the planners (small fry, Matveychikova, torpedo, shoe, etc.)

Loose.

Free-flowing spoons are used for perch lure, they differ from others in that when falling in the water column they do not fall like a nail and do not plan, but turn horizontally to the bottom, and slowly descending, as if they tremble (crumble), creating small
oscillatory movements.

Such vibrations are created due to the shift of the center of gravity to the center of the bait and the absolute symmetry of the sides with an acute angle in the center of the entire length.
Loose is very good to catch in snags.

The technique of the game involves a slow ascent to any height and a sharp drop. Tossing a bait is contraindicated and can frighten off a predator or lead to hooks in snags.
Loose (semi-rhombus, coffin, alaskan, vandal, joker, pipe, bug).
The hovering time is long, a double blow to the hand helps to determine the behavior of the spinner. The first, when the line was pulled, the second lure took a vertical position.

Step.

One more bait, which is carried out for perch spinning in winter, is a step. The bait is a narrow strip with a concave inward, slightly bent crescent shape.
Wiring with a step can be attributed to wiring, which is done with a short stroke and a sharp dump of the spoon.
Steps (pipe, vandal, etc.).

Catching spoons for perch

It is made of two copper plates with a soldered single hook in the wide part and an eyelet in the narrow part for attaching to the fishing line. The space between the plates is filled with tin.
Fishing for perch on the Andreevskaya lure is carried out with smooth, wide rises and a sharp drop, and the bait goes vertically, slightly deviating to the side.

Spoon "Torpedo".

It has a torpedo-shaped body, made of a slightly concave plate and tin soldered onto it. Works with both single soldered and triple soldered lugs.
The game. Smooth wide rise and sharp drop.

Coffin.

Loose baubles. It is made of two metal plates, both of the same material so different.
Plays well with a smooth rise and a sharp drop.

A tube.

Sawed out of various metal tubes. Length from 30 mm to 130 mm. One angle is 30 degrees, attached to the line, the other 45 is attached to the tee. The most versatile lure that can animate different game depending on wiring and loading. It plays both at shallow depths and at depths of up to 17 meters. Recommended line 0.4 mm.

“With a spoon you can catch not only a predator, but also quite peaceful fish, rudd, roach, bream ”.

Fishing for perch in winter with a spoon.

Perch fishing cannot be successful without the ability to find hunting fish. It rarely happens that a perch on a spoon in winter was caught in the first drilled hole and the fisherman immediately found a flock. So winter fishing perch on a spoon is undercarriage. To find a parking space, you have to drill many holes.
And yet there are classic superficial signs that will help with the search.

  • Branches of coastal trees frozen into the ice.
  • The edge of the growing reed.
  • A tree that has fallen into the water.
  • Driftwood.
  • Places of confluence of small streams into the main river bed.
  • Glades of frozen burdocks on the ice surface.
  • Cloudy ice on a transparent section.

Beginners can try to find fish by the presence of a large number of old holes with signs of repeated and long visits to the site.
Marks left near catch holes, (a bunch of straw stuck into a hole, a stick frozen into the ice, and other objects).

  • If these signs do not help, then you can try to look for a predator by measuring depths, as a rule, the perch does not really like places with a depth of more than 4 meters and stays in a fall. Drop off a place with a sharp drop in depth, for example, from 4 to 4.5-5 at a distance of 3-5 meters between two holes.
  • In the glades. An elevated plateau in a deep place.
  • A boundary of underwater vegetation or a clear spot in a clearing with algae.
  • Submerged driftwood.

Two men are sitting on a fishing trip, they don't bite. They sit for a long time. Suddenly one bite. He pulls out a kiloshny perch, but he is not given in his hands. Jumping, thorns spread. The lucky one asks the neighbor.

Vasya, what should I do with him?

“Some fishermen themselves arrange places for the ambush of a predator, freezing tree branches into the ice, lowering a sheet of iron, slate, etc. to the bottom of the reservoir in places with grass before freezing.”

Catchy winter spoons for perch of Russian producers.

It has long been said in Russia: "Prepare the sleigh in the summer, and the cart in the winter." Preparation for winter fishing begins even before the first frosts hit. Amateur fishermen and venerable ice fishing experts try to meet their favorite fishing season fully armed. They begin to search in advance and redraw drawings of winter spinners for perch. With their own hands, smart craftsmen make a variety of baits from the material at hand.

Types of baits

Perch is one of the most voracious fish in winter. If in summer few people are interested in catching perches, preferring to hunt for larger predators, then in winter, a striped handsome man is a welcome trophy of any fisherman... He is willingly taken both for a regular jig and for special spoons.

Those who decide to catch a larger perch think over how to get it from the depths of the reservoir. For this purpose, heavy baits are needed, which quickly reach the bottom. Ice fishing enthusiasts buy them in stores. However, many people make homemade winter spinners, which are not inferior to factory counterparts in terms of catching power.

In addition to weight, lures differ in size and shape of the spoon. For fishing small perch, light perch homemade products are used, and for large perch they take heavier and more reliable tackle.

The bait can be very diverse in shape: prismatic, oval, round, voluminous, flat, bent, ribbed, oblong, and so on.

The bait for predators is also distinguished by the presence of various hooks. In fishing for perch, one hook is mainly used, although there are tackles with two hooks... The hooks themselves can be single, double, triple and even quadruple.

A good bauble, like a good fashionista, loves attractive accessories. These include various cambric, fabric and plastic fish tail imitators, color spots on the cavity of the spoon, and other decorations.

In the modern market, there is a huge amount of tackle and lures for every taste, so inexperienced fishermen do not want to strain and make a spinner for winter fishing with their own hands. Such a spoon will bring additional bonuses to the fisherman's self-respect treasury. After all, all the fish caught will be one hundred percent merit of a skillful master not only of fishing, but also of the manufacturer of the main instrument of this business.

Preparing for the creation process

Having decided to make a perch spinner, some novice craftsmen do not know where to start. However, the manufacturing process itself is not so complicated that such a person could not cope with it. Good preparation- the key to the successful completion of almost any business.

Here are the main points of preparation for the manufacturing process:

After thorough preparation, the novice master tries to find an accurate description of the sequence of work and detailed description each operation.

An excellent selection of such lessons is provided by Maxim Balachevtsev. After reviewing the option you like, anyone can try to repeat each action step by step on their own.

Manufacturing procedure

Having decided to make a self-shaker for a perch with his own hands, a novice craftsman tries to copy the actions of an experienced craftsman. Rarely does anyone immediately try to invent something original. Usually they take proven models, such as a needle, hoof, jig, fry, castmaster and others.

The manufacturing procedure for all spinners is very similar to each other and consists of the following basic procedures:
