Homemade lures for winter fishing drawings dimensions. Ready-made and homemade winter baubles: how to flash a perch in winter

For a long time I was interested in the shape of this spoon, but it all came across in small scales and was more suitable for fishing perch on shallows, and recently, on Russfishing, a somodelkin with the nickname Kurskiy posted the dimensions of a heavier spoon KT-45.

Here is his drawing-

This one just fits my conditions and I decided to try to make a similar one, but change the dimensions a little, making the blank a little wider than the original. Then Mamba reminded about the efficiency of this model, I bought a new soldering iron, the mood appeared, the time was ... in general, everything was "in color".

I drew a template

cut it out and glued it with PVA glue to a silvered brass sheet, 0.5 mm thick. He carefully cut out the workpiece from metal, and then the question arose about giving it the necessary folds.

Then Google came to the rescue, where I "dug up" a video on how to give the plate those tricky folds without a stamp. It turns out that all ingenious is simple, you just need a couple of blunt chisels and it will go.

On a piece of dense foam, first a bend along the central axis is knocked out with a wide chisel,

and then the side edges are knocked out narrow. In fact, you can knock everything out with one chisel.

Here's what happens-

Then the pliers come into play, with the help of which both sides of the "tail" are bent at 90 degrees, forming sides. The height of the sides I got about two millimeters, then I grinded them off a little on emery. I literally removed a millimeter, or maybe even less, in general, I evened it out.

Then I applied this blank to another 6 mm thick plate, drew it around with an awl and cut out a second crown.

and I even succeeded, but I will say right away that later, when soldering, I got so carried away by pressing the crowns together that I straightened all my extrusions with the clamps again. So be careful if you want to make it closer to the original.

After the crowns are completely fitted (I had to resort to the help of emery to combine all the sides and edges), we clean the inner surfaces, process them with flux, we also prepare two rings and proceed to service all parts of the future spoon and fill the blanks.

In the original, it was about different solders, but I used one, the brand of which I do not know myself. I dribbled the rings, filled the triangular crown with tin on the bread crumb, placing the rings (note that the ring under the tee should be placed perpendicular to the horizontal plane of the spoon, and the ring for attaching to the fishing line should be placed in the same plane as the spoon).

When both sides of the CT frame are completely filled, it is necessary to re-fit the plates as tightly as possible to each other, removing the excess solder with a file and making the contacting parts absolutely flat. Now we solder the edges. In this case, the metal of both crowns will warm up well and they are completely soldered into a single whole. Make sure that the crowns do not move and the rings do not "float". In addition, you need to ensure that the tin does not leak out of the previously filled voids of the blanks. For this, the spoon should be kept in a horizontal plane with a triangular downward when soldering and not overheated.

Here I had serious problems ... a little overheated, the ring was gone or the tin flowed from the tilt of the parts to be soldered. I had to tinker ... solder / solder a couple of times. But, one way or another, the matter has been brought to its logical conclusion and the spoon is ready for final processing-

I slightly damaged the "tail" with a clamp ... to be honest, there was no patience to start all over again, so I decided to leave the test spoon as it is.

Well, after a short manipulation of files, sandpaper and a felt grinding wheel, my first spinner KT-45 turned out.

As I see it after the test in the bathroom, minor "joints" with the bulge of the lower part of the spoon and the wrinkle of the "tail", the spinners did not affect the game. The spoon sprinkles well and "winds up" on a sharp short pull, as you can see for yourself-

All the same, henceforth I will be more careful, so that, as Cornet says ...- "in beauty!" :)))

All straight hands, inspiration and patience.

PS The test result showed that the spoon works, it regularly catches bersh at depths of up to 10 meters with a very weak current.

Homemade tackle seasoned fishermen appreciate. For example, making a spoon with your own hands is a kind of mastering a special art. Although this activity is not very difficult and does not require large expenses.

But now in Russia there are many real enthusiasts and masters of this business, and, moreover, a lot of options for such spinners have appeared. And many of them are much more catchy than the most expensive branded ones, because they are adapted to this particular fishing place and to the predatory fish that live in this reservoir.

Types of homemade spinners

It is believed that there are 3 types homemade spinners:

  • hesitant, - they imitate the game of a fish with an amplitude of oscillations, such a tackle is made, say, from a spoon, from brass blanks or even a tube;
  • rotating, - here the fish is attracted by the rotation of the tackle, - the main types: petal and spoon with impellers;
  • balance, - used for winter sheer fishing.

Advantages

The famous author of books on spinning fishing Viktor Andreev described an interesting case. Once they came with friends to the same lake to fish for pikes. Moreover, they arrived purposefully, since, according to the stories of other fishermen, these gray predators were apparently invisible in this reservoir. We settled down, took out branded spinners. They began to throw - nothing. Not a single prey. Already getting ready to leave, the old man comes to the shore with some rusty homemade spoon, and let's carry large pikes.

The fishermen could not believe their eyes. And the reason was simple. The fact is that in this lake pikes are accustomed to hunting rotans. They have a dark color. And the city spinners came with their trademark shiny spoons, to which the pike did not react.

They had to urgently smoke their imported tackle at the stake. Since then, according to the author, he became interested in homemade products for fishing and now considers them his most favorite tackle.

Indeed, the following factors should be attributed to the advantages of homemade spinners:

  • you can make your own custom tackle, which will be catchy exactly in the reservoir where you usually fish;
  • it is not difficult to make it from almost any available materials;
  • financial costs are minimal;
  • making such a tackle is considered simple;
  • the field for experimentation is simply enormous;
  • the number of fishing lures depends on your desire;
  • such home production is not time-consuming;
  • finally, the low cost will not make you particularly regret if the bait breaks off - make another one.

comparison table

Now it is clear why many Russian fishermen prefer to prepare the tackle themselves. But if financial opportunities allow you, and you should not give up high-quality foreign products either.

Expert opinion

Knipovich Nikolay Mikhailovich

Important! Some fishermen closely follow the novelties of store production, buy them for review, and then make improved analogs.

And the main thing to remember when choosing a spoon is the cheaper it is, the poorer the material from which it is made, it will oxidize. And hardly anyone will make a homemade product from completely waste metal.

Spoons for different fish

For pike perch

Pike perch is a fish that loves space and oxygen, so it is useless to catch it, say, in a swampy area. And in winter you need to try very hard to find it. But fishing for this fish has its own advantages.

Expert opinion

Knipovich Nikolay Mikhailovich

Zoologist, hydrobiologist. I am fond of fishing at a professional level.

Important! Unlike pike, pike perch often rushes to the bait immediately, so that the approach of the fish can be expected immediately after casting.

A few years ago, ordinary spoons were used to catch this species. But gradually they were replaced by spinning models and silicone baits... However, there are places where spinning anglers reach a good catch with old-style models.

Let's give an example of making a simple but catchy model for zander:

  • cut out a template of the required shape and size from cardboard, usually 6-10 cm;
  • we apply a template to the metal from a tin can;
  • cut out;
  • we clean it with sandpaper;
  • we make 2 holes at the edges, thread a wire through them;
  • bend the ends with holes at an angle of 90 degrees;
  • we attach a small bead to the wire on one side;
  • we attach the hook so that it is in a hanging position.

Tackle can be brightly colored, zander likes bright colors... In muddy water, you can also tint a bead.

Now we check the spinning of the spoon. To do this, just blow on it. Rotates - go fishing.

For pike

The pike is one of the most coveted prey of the spinning rod. Usually it is caught with homemade spinners, since it is very easy to make them. As a material you can use:

  • stainless steel;
  • lead;
  • copper;
  • tin;
  • brass.

The latter material is the most attractive of all, it oxidizes less.

The easiest way to make a pike lure is to cut off the handle of a regular spoon and attach a hook to it and a ring for fastening on the other side. Such a tackle is very reminiscent of bleak, and the pike adores it.

In winter, pike is caught on a balancer - the only spinner that moves vertically in the water. To do this, a blank is cast and a fixture is made in the middle of the simulated fish. The ebb mold is usually made of plaster.

Perch

Ichthyologists distinguish between two types of perch: small grassy and deep-sea. Therefore, when fishing for this fish, take into account its size: small perch will never come up to large bait. The optimal size is 5 cm.

The perch is an active fish. He needs to be attracted by playing spinners. But he is also curious, so fishermen often attach tassels, artificial fins, or just bright beads to homemade products.

Important! Often these elements serve as a camouflage for hooks that can scare off fish.

But what can attract a perch is the color of the bait. Moreover, it is not at all necessary to make it yellow or shiny. Some fishermen assure that this fish willingly goes for a red tint, others catch a blue one.

It is also easy to make a spoon by yourself. It is curious, for example, to use ordinary medical tweezers. The necessary workpiece is cut out of it, moreover, part of it should be corrugated, and the other - smooth. Hook, ponytail, etc. are attached according to the general scheme.

Material for making

White spinners

This type of tackle - most popular with spinning... White baubles are reminiscent of a fish with white scales in color. And the predator goes to her willingly. Usually used for manufacturing:

  • steel;
  • zinc;
  • cupronickel;
  • silver.

The first two materials are easy to manufacture, but have one significant drawback, - they give a bright glow, especially in sunny weather. This can scare the fish away. Therefore, steel and zinc are used for fishing in cloudy weather.

But cupronickel and silver do not react to sunlight like that, and in general, many fishermen endow especially silver with the magical properties of catchability.

Brass

Sometimes, for some inexplicable reason, a predatory fish stops noticing white spinners and starts chasing yellow ones. Mostly they are made from brass. To do this, you can purchase standard brass sheets or use old utensils such as were previously made.

Craftsmen make good spinners from copper.

Aluminum

Excellent workable material, easy to polish. But due to the lightness of such blanks, they often have to be heavier. And this metal is also quickly oxidized in water and takes on a gray tint. Therefore, it is recommended to paint spoons from this material.

However, the same lightness of this bait gives an excellent opportunity to arrange an enticing game with it both in winter and in summer.

Stainless steel

Has a high margin of safety. Easy to cut and bend. Hobbyists often use stainless steel tubing, which is weighted down with lead. Very catchy tackle in winter time with sheer spinning.

Many celebrate good speed diving such bait.

It is believed that especially she is a catcher for walleye.

Spoons and seasons

At different times of the year, you should use and make different similar gear.

In the spring

In early spring, the pike does not chase large specimens, but prepares for spawning. And others predatory fish are not yet showing the proper activity. Therefore, spinners should be used medium-sized and running.

Summer

In the summer already has great importance not the size of the bait, but its ability to play. Use bright colors for painting, this time of year it is preferable to choose a rotating and movable tackle.

Autumn

In the fall, the fish prepares for wintering; large spoons and heavy spoons are already suitable here.

Winter

Here comes the time of balancers - vertical spinning replaces the horizontal one. The tackle should be heavy, but easy to play at the bottom.

DIY making

Rotating

To make this quite catchy spoon, you will need the following tools and materials:

  • pliers;
  • awl;
  • hammer;
  • a can of beer, Pepsi, etc .;
  • clip;
  • threads;
  • beads;
  • tee or hook - optional.

Now we start the process itself:

  1. We make a straight wire from a paper clip (you can just take a wire.
  2. Cut a petal or several in the form of propellers from the jar.
  3. A hole is pierced in the petal with an awl.
  4. It is put on a wire and bent so that it can rotate.
  5. Beads are placed between the propellers to make rotation easier.
  6. Ears are made at the ends of the wire to attach the hook and main line.
  7. Tie multi-colored threads to the tee.

There are more complex manufacturing methods, but this one is very suitable for beginners.

Vibrator

Choosing materials:

  • metal sheet with a thickness of about 3 mm;
  • hardwood timber (oak, beech);
  • plasticine;

Now the tools:

  • hacksaw for metal;
  • hammer;
  • chisels;
  • strikers from reinforcement bars;
  • drill;
  • hook or tee;
  • swivel;
  • clockwork rings.

We start manufacturing according to the drawing:

  1. We make a template out of cardboard.
  2. We cut out the metal according to the template.
  3. We make a recess in the tree for the desired shape of the spoon.
  4. We check its correctness with plasticine.
  5. With the help of strikers and a hammer, we give the metal a given shape.
  6. 2 holes are drilled along the edges of the spoon.
  7. They clean up irregularities.
  8. Equip the tackle with a hook, swivel and rings.

For fishing in troubled waters

This tackle is especially good for catching perch. Materials and tools:

  • a piece of chrome-plated pipe 1.5 cm;
  • scissors for metal;
  • drill for metal;
  • tin, soldering iron;
  • pliers;
  • file;
  • hook or tee.

Now we are working:

  1. We cut the pipe into 2 parts.
  2. We remove one of them for good, and unbend the other, but not completely.
  3. We give it the shape of a fish.
  4. We melt the hook with a tin.
  5. We melt the fish with tin completely.

Such tackle does not rust and is perfectly visible in conditions turbid water thanks to an almost mirrored surface.

A tube

We select materials:

  • aluminum tube;
  • lead;
  • sandpaper;
  • swivels, hook, etc.

The tube is cut to the desired size under different bevels. Filled with lead. The rest of the parts are attached to the holes made from different sides.

"Bullet"

Commercially available rotating ones inherently need to be easily mobile, however, often due to the unreasonably large thickness of the petal (1 mm or more) and the diameter of the hole for the rod (sometimes up to 3 mm), they do not give the desired game. It happens that they are weak, the tees do not match the size, so the angler has to make homemade winter spoons himself.

When making spinners, the designer must remember certain requirements that apply to this spinner. For example, spoons, the main shape of which is a spoon, gradually turn into a curved plate with a decrease in the transverse bulge. If we take this form of spoons as a basis, then it is not difficult to make sure that a significant part of other spoons are built on the principle of a spoon. Thus, one model of a spoon easily passes into another, retaining its original basis, differing only in its equipment, external outline, surface nature, external finish, degree and shape of the bulge and thickness of the metal.

B. Afanasyev proposed the following options for the most successful lures, the manufacture of which does not require complex and labor-intensive operations and is available to everyone.

The first spoon (fig. 1) is truly versatile. The thickness of its petal is 0.5 mm. In the spring it is caught; in the summer on the rifts - chub, asp and ide; on deep rocky banks, in a snag - and; in the fall, near the grasses - perch (during the period of his hunt for fry).

The required shape is given to the petal by stamping with a wooden punch or using pliers. The largest bulge is located approximately 1/3 of the "tail"; the diameter of the hole is not more than 1.5 of the diameter of the rod. Thanks to this, the spoon is very easy to move, it immediately comes into play at the slowest posting. its rotation is fast; the petal deviates from the shaft by no more than 10 mm, which is important for attracting and reliable spotting of carp fish with a relatively narrow mouth, first of all, ide.

In cloudy, early in the morning and late in the evening, during the flowering period, brightly polished, usually "white" baubles are used; in sunny weather, in clear water, they are yellow, dull. The best coating in any conditions, in any weather, is silvering without subsequent polishing. Sometimes when catching a chub, for example, in the river. Moscow is often successful with a dark, unpeeled spoon. After silver, the best material for spinners is cupronickel.

The ends of the stingers of the tee should be approximately 5 mm apart from the petal, the width of the tee should be at least the maximum width of the petal - this excludes the fish coming off. The tee is fixed with a piece of nipple rubber in order to avoid overwhelming it behind a spoon or a forest when casting; it is useful to tie a bunch of red wool to the fore-end.

The load is highly asymmetrical; it is either cast or altered from a standard Field-type cargo, the weight of which is reduced to 14 g.

Drawings of homemade lures

Spinning players successfully use a spinning spoon called "Kievlyanka".

It is made of brass, 0.5-1 mm thick. On the outer convex side it has a notch - "scales" and a recess for the "eye", filled with red nitro paint. This side of the spinner is cleaned, polished or painted. The inner concave side is tinned or painted white or silver, and the tail is red. On the inside, on the rod, a stationary lead weight is placed, having the shape

This type of bait is widespread among fishermen. Named after its inventor, Matveychikov's lure is used in the winter season for fishing perch at shallow and medium depths with a slow or absent current. With today's prices for fishing accessories, fishing enthusiasts are increasingly resorting to their own production.

Originally created for sport fishing by a famous fisherman, author of many articles in the magazine "Fishing in Russia" Vladimir Matveychikov, the spoon has become widespread. Compared to other spinners, it is inexpensive in the store, but many fishermen prefer to make the bait themselves. The Matveychikov spoon is intended for winter fishing perch. The different colors of the edges and the concavity of the spoon increase the predator's interest in it.

And this is due to the angle of refraction in the water. The undulating structure allows it to balance in the water to the very bottom. A tee hook is used. In order to make Matveychikov's lure with your own hands, you need to take a sheet of copper or cupronickel 0.5 mm thick. Other material is allowed, but it should not be too hard, since it cannot be bent at home and it will not create sufficient reflection in water. The prepared copper sheet must be divided into blanks.

The blanks should be close in size to the bait being produced, somewhere between 20 mm and 30–55 mm.

It is also necessary to acquire several hooks, it is better to use the "eight". You can take different sizes to make several variations of the bait. For work, you will also need rosin, a soldering iron, soldering acid, solder; it is best to take a metal ruler and a vernier caliper from measuring tools.

For metal processing, you need to prepare a vice, an anvil, metal scissors, a set of hammers and a mallet. For melting and soldering, you will need a soldering iron, a good torch and two containers: one for hot metal, the other for cooling.

Step-by-step instruction:

  1. The bait size should be 35 or 55 mm. It is undesirable to do more or less, since there will be no vertical play. For a winter lure, the blank will be 40 mm by 10 mm.
  2. Make a drawing of the required product. If there is a sample, you can take measurements from it using a ruler.
  3. The dimensions are transferred to a copper sheet 0.5 mm thick, a workpiece is cut out 40 mm by 10 mm. Then a straight line is drawn on the workpiece with a pencil, then with a sharp object.
  4. On each side of the wide edge, measure 13 mm and draw the same lines, then two notches are made on the opposite bar of the cross. All unnecessary is cut off.
  5. Now you need to bend the sheet along the first drawn line and, having reached an angle of 90 degrees, draw a line through the notch that you made earlier, draw along two more notches. Metal scissors cut two long corners from the cross bar down and two short corners from the cross bar up.
  6. File the bottom corners and the corners around the edge of the cross bar to give them a smooth finish.
  7. Next, you need to bend the workpiece into outside, giving it the shape of a crescent.
  8. Then the eye is cut off at the hook and soldered to the workpiece from the thick side. The area should be well poured with an adhesive material, for example, tin.
  9. Now we need another tackle loop. To do this, you can take a wire or an eyelet from a needle, cutting it to 10 - 15 mm. The eyelet is soldered on the narrow side of the spoon.
  10. At the final stage, the product is polished to a shine, and Matveychikov's spoon is ready.

it drawing lures Matveychikov:

The main advantage of any spinner while fishing in winter is the ability to catch more big fish from the depths. When the perch is at a depth, he sees the spinner well, it is not carried away by the current, it is always in calm state, which is what attracts the perch. For example, small perch will be caught with a spoon up to 50 mm long, and for catching large individuals, a spoon with a length of up to 100 mm is required. Even the drawings on the bait matter: a red spot, fins, eyes. The fish perceives the bait as a live fish.

It is worth noting that every angler has his own preferences in choosing a perch lure. But experienced anglers believe that it is necessary to pause while lowering the bait into the hole, and while pulling out the fish, the line should not be weakened, otherwise it will break. And one more thing: when trolling, you do not need to make sudden movements so as not to frighten off the pecked fish. Perch can be caught from the depth, easily moving the bait or raising and lowering it by 30 cm. You need to have about ten lures, no less, catching one will not give a good catch.

Matveychikov's bait differs from others in its shape: it is made with a corner and has three sides - this is its secret. She is small and light. Spinning and shimmering, the winter bait reproduces the behavior of a tiny fish, thereby attracting not only perch, but also pike perch and pike.

She perfectly catches both small and large perch at a depth of up to five meters. Practice shows that frequent and small fluctuations in the bait make it possible to catch perch both in winter and in summer.

Perch is a schooling fish and is found in most water bodies of our country. In order for the fishing to be successful, you should study the bottom relief, prepare the necessary tackle and choose the most catchy baubles... There are a huge number of different lures for fishing perch in winter, they differ:

  1. by color,
  2. form,
  3. by the nature of the game.

There are shops, there are homemade bait... Unfortunately, drawings of lures with your own hands are very difficult to find even on the forums of fishermen, and if there is information, it is often contradictory. Experienced fishermen try to make bait on winter bass themselves, making them according to a well-known template or inventing their own. The most popular of the latter are "Marapedka", "Torpedo", "Mercedes", "St. Petersburg Sleeper", "Sword", "Coffin", "Mechik", "Houndstooth", "Trump Card", "Trehgranka", "Sickle" , "Fry", "bell", "rozhkovskaya". Each of the models is original, has a unique game and perfectly catches perch.

"Marapeda" is a combination of elements of Matveychikov's spoon, diamond spoon and torpedo spoon, the author of which is Alexander Vorobyov. She is very catchy for perch. Its use for a long time was a great secret among sports fishermen, but gradually curious fishermen through experiments came to its present form.

"St. Petersburg sleeper"- classic bait with active play. When fishing, it allows both active high swings of the fisherman and short, sharp ones. There are several types of sleepers, here are some of them:

  1. Double for winter perch fishing. It is made by soldering two metal plates. Length 55 mm, width 4.5 mm, thickness 3 mm, weight 5 grams.
  2. Single with tee for ice fishing. It is made of a strip of metal 25 mm long, 4.5 mm wide, 3 mm thick, weighing 1.2 grams.
  3. Single, long with a tee for winter. Made from a single strip of metal. The fishermen pick up the bend directly on the pond. Length 85 mm, width 4.5 mm, thickness 1.3 mm.

"Torpedo"

Length 45 mm, weight 2.5 grams, two crowns. Used material: bronze, brass, copper, cupronickel. Sports lure for winter perch fishing at a depth of 2 to 5 meters. Requires preliminary run-in in a bath or pool. Fishing tactics: smooth and high sweeps 10 times, bites on 4-6 sweeps. Then you need to make short smooth jerks, raising the bait by 20–40 cm. If there is no bite, then there is no fish there either.

Mercedes from the category of chaotically pouring lures. Its author is Anatoly Kirillovich Kovalev, nicknamed "Kirilich" among fishermen. When free falling, the lure moves from side to side, right and left, but at the same time it sways smoothly and briskly.

Fishermen love her very much for this game, and she is one of the most efficient vertical baits for pike perch and pike in calm water at a depth of 13 m. Sometimes bream bites, but perch is quite rare.
