The football club was in a plane crash. The mystery of the death of the football team "pakhtakor": the history of one of the largest plane crashes in the ussr

It's hard to remember this. But fate cannot be changed. Six years ago, at 16.00, a Yak-42D airliner crashed into the banks of the Tunoshonka River. So died hockey team"Locomotive".

I remember that day as it is now.

The season opened in Ufa, where the match for the Opening Cup between Salavat Yulaev and Atlant took place. An hour before the game, a press conference of the KHL president and sponsors took place. Everyone was in high spirits, as we gathered for the holiday.
A quarter of an hour before the throw-in, they went to their places. Buried in computers ...
And suddenly the terrible news began to spread like spilled ink on a white sheet of paper.

- Have you seen? The plane with Lokomotiv crashed ...

- Are you kidding! How…

- What if a mistake? Someone started a duck?

- There are no such ducks ...

- Call someone from the team!

But the telephones were muffled. And the news fell. Details, facts. It was very painful.

"At 16.00 near Yaroslavl, during takeoff from the Tunoshna airport ..."

All this was happening in the room where the commentators are sitting. And below there was a game on the ice. Salavat Yulaev's defender Andrei Kuteikin shot from the blue line with a beautiful snap, scoring the first goal of the season.

There, behind the glass, life was still in full swing. There was hockey. Maybe, after all, we were ridiculously played?
But a cold whisper was already creeping across the stands. The match was stopped. A pale Alexander Medvedev appeared near the owners' shop. I will never forget his speech. And I can't imagine how difficult it was to announce this to the whole world.

“A terrible grief happened today. The plane crashed with Lokomotiv hockey players, club administrators and coaches on board. Of the 37 people, only one survived. Whether to continue the match or not, we will decide during the break. I ask you to honor the memory of the victims with a minute of silence.

Everything inside finally turned upside down, flew down somewhere. Many hockey players cried like children. They were taken to the dressing rooms.

The Atlanta players drove to the church. They crashed Jan Marek, who played in the final of last season. So hastily moved to Lokomotiv that they did not manage to present him with a silver medal.

The Swedes sobbed Fernholm, Zakrisson, Andersson - their friend Stefan Liv was killed. Slovak Radivojevic lost Pavol Demitra. Alexey Kovalev was left without Alexander Karpovtsev, Igor Korolev. Konstantin Rudenko played for Lokomotiv, but in the offseason he moved to Mytishchi. It saved him ...

It was scary in Ufa, and Yaroslavl was generally blackened by trouble. Colleagues who ended up there are forever engraved in the memory of the pouring rain in the middle of the night. And the flashing lights of cars near the morgue of the Solovyov hospital, where the burnt bodies of players were brought, who were taken out of the river. Identification was in progress ...

And next to the "Arena-2000" hills of flowers have grown. Photos of the guys, burning candles. No rainstorm could extinguish them.

There was a glimmer of hope that Alexander Galimov would survive. He was terribly burned, doctors tried to save him. Transportation to Moscow. But the miracle did not happen. Sasha left after five days ...

That plane crash hooked everyone, broke the lives of families, very many people with a spreading crack. Citizens of Russia, Belarus, Ukraine, Sweden, Germany, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Latvia, Canada were killed in that plane. Nine countries. And everyone was united by a common grief.

We must remember September 7th. So, in detail. Come to the Leontief cemetery in Yaroslavl. To other places where the guys found their last rest.

What can we give them now? Only memory. And respect. So, I can't imagine why the school named after Ivan Tkachenko, over which the poor father of the captain of Lokomotiv has been beating for many years, has not yet been built in Yaroslavl. The results of the investigation into why the plane crashed also raise questions. The tragedy was overgrown with rumors that turned into myths. But there is no clear answer ...

Live for the living. And don't forget the crew that crashed on takeoff on that black Wednesday.

Everlasting memory.

After that, with the Brazilian football team Chapecoense on board, rescuers are working at the scene of the tragedy, to whose help the authorities have sent the country's army. Military helicopters help to deliver emergency plane crash survivors to hospitals.

The rescue operation at the site of the tragedy is complicated by weather conditions and very poor visibility. There is information that the crew lowered almost all the fuel during the flight - this allowed the death of all passengers.

Also, several players from the Chapecoense team managed to avoid the tragedy, as they did not fly with the team to the game. It should be added that on the crashed plane in the province of Antioquia, the players of the Colombian team Atletico Nacional and the athletes of the Argentine national team were previously transported. The Latin American media claim that the albiseleste have used this aircraft several times.

At the same time, the British tabloid The Daily Mail claims that brazilian team Chapecoense was to fly to Medellin by another aircraft. According to the source, the local aviation authorities changed the board for the flight of athletes literally at the last moment.

According to the latest information from "RT in Russian", citing reliable sources, one of the injured passengers in a plane crash in Colombia died on the way to the hospital. This information was confirmed by the head of police of the Colombian city of Medellin, Jose Acevedo, who did not name the deceased.

Information is being updated.

In the 1940s, Torino was a grand Italian football. Best of that confirmation - three championship titles "Squadra Pomegranate" from 1946 to 1948. On May 4, 1949, on a three-engined Fiat plane, the Torino footballers were returning from the away match against Portuguese Benfica to Turin. The plane made a stopover in Barcelona for refueling, during which the Torino players talked to the Milan players who were taking a flight to Madrid. The Rossoneri were the last to select the Turin people alive.

Closer to five in the evening, when only a few kilometers remained to Turin, the airliner entered a dense strip of fog. The pilot lost his bearings, the plane descended and with his left wing touched the fence of the Basilica of Superga located on the hill. The car turned around, and it crashed into the ground at high speed. The crash killed all 18 players on board, including Italy's captain Valentino Mazzola. Fate favored only one Torino player - Lauro Toma. Due to injury, he was forced to stay at home. By the way, "Torino" with its youth squad retained the first line of the tournament table.

"Manchester United". February 6, 1958

On that fateful day, British European Airways' charter flight BE609 from Belgrade to Manchester stopped in Munich for refueling. On board were 21 representatives of the English football club "Manchester United", returning home after the return quarterfinal match of the European Cup with Belgrade "Crvena Zvezda".

The pilots made two attempts to take off, but both times they stopped due to engine problems. However, not wanting to be behind schedule, they decided to try again. Could not stop them and started snowfall. Irish striker Liam Whelan reacted to the pilots' zeal: "It may be death, but I'm ready for it."

The pilots desperately tried to lift the plane off the ground, but it, having driven its wheels into the snow mush, continued to rush along the runway. At a speed of almost 200 km / h, the plane rammed the fence and crashed into a private house.

The residents, by a lucky chance, were not injured, and of the 44 people on board the plane, 23 were killed and another 19 were injured. Manchester United lost eight players (including Liam Whelan) and three members in disaster coaching staff... Among the survivors was Bobby Charlton, the future star of English football - at the time of the accident, he was thrown out of the passenger compartment along with the seat.

The Strongest. September 26, 1969

On the evening of Friday 26 September 1969, the Strongest of Bolivia was returning by plane to La Paz after a friendly game. It was the best period in the history of one of the oldest football clubs in Bolivia.

After a few hours of flight, the Douglas crew stopped communicating. At this time, a snow front fell on the Andes, and dispatchers rushed to declare an emergency. Only a day later, in the very heart of the Andes, not far from the village of Viloko on the slope of Mount Choquetanga, a group of miners discovered the wreckage of an aircraft, and a day later a search team arrived there.

It was not possible to establish the cause of the disaster. But it is worth noting that the tragedy happened on the day the military coup took place in the country. All 74 people on board were killed, 19 of them were players and coaches of the Strongest club. Five years later, the renewed Strongest won the Bolivian championship again.

"Pakhtakor". August 11, 1979

One of the worst disasters in the history of Soviet aviation occurred in the skies over the Ukrainian Dneprodzerzhinsk on August 11, 1979. On that day, through the fault of the air traffic controllers (however, the version of the hit by a training missile is also tenacious), two Tu-134 passenger aircraft of the Aeroflot company collided. One of the planes was flying Voronezh - Chisinau, the other - Tashkent - Minsk. In the latter, the football team Pakhtakor, popular in the USSR, flew to the next match of the national championship with Minsk Dynamo.

None of the 178 people on both airliners survived. If the board, heading to Chisinau, immediately collapsed in the air, then the plane flying to Minsk, having lost the tail, part of the right wing and one of the engines still tried to make an emergency landing, but at an altitude of 4 kilometers it entered a steep dive and crashed to the ground. There were 14 players and three representatives of the coaching staff of the Tashkent Pakhtakor in it.

Some plane crashes have gone down in sports history forever, because famous athletes were on board the crashed planes. Days.Ru remember the most terrible crashes, the victims of which were famous sports teams.

Football club "Torino" in the middle of the last century was a strong competitor to their fellow countrymen from the team "Juventus". At the time of the tragedy, he was in the lead in the Italian championship with a margin of four points from the nearest rival. The plane crash happened when Torino players were returning home from Portugal after losing 3-4 to Benfica Lisbon. On board the Fiat G 212CP were 18 crew members, as well as the club's management and several journalists - a total of 31 people.

The plane crashed near the airport in Torino. Due to the strongest fog, the flight crew lost their orientation in space. The aircraft turned sharply, and it quickly collapsed. All passengers and crew members on board were killed. Of the entire team, only Lauro Toma remained alive at that time. He was lucky: due to an earlier injury, he escaped a terrible fate by not flying to the match in Lisbon.

The burned bodies of the victims were taken to the morgue of the Turin hospital. The relatives of the deceased were not involved in the painful identification procedure, so as not to traumatize the sight of the mutilated remains. He took on this heavy burden former coach"Torino" by Vittorio Pozzo.

The plane of British European Airways, on board of which there were football players of the English team "Manchester United", crashed at Munich airport more than half a century ago. On board were the club's footballers, several coaches, fans and journalists. Of the 44 people, 23 were killed. 19 wounded were taken to a Munich hospital.

The disaster happened when the team flew from Belgrade after the match with the local “Crvena Zvezda” in the Champions League. The airliner refueled in Munich on the way. When he tried to take off, it was prevented by vibrations in the left engine. The pilots made a second attempt to take off, but it was unsuccessful. When the plane took off for the third time, heavy snow began to fall. The aircraft lost speed, smashed through the fence at the end of the runway and slammed into a nearby house with its left wing.

21 people on board died instantly, the rest lost consciousness. After investigating all the circumstances, the pilot was named the culprit of the crash. However, ten years later, it was possible to establish that the real cause of the disaster was snowfall, due to which the aircraft's speed dropped sharply, and it could not take off. As a result, the pilot was acquitted.

18 of the best US figure skaters departed from the J. Kennedy Airport to Brussels - the athletes had to transfer to another flight to Prague. The team was to perform at the World Championship in the capital of Czechoslovakia. But a few hours later, a brand new Boeing 707, in which the athletes and their relatives were flying, crashed in a wooded area near the village of Berg near the capital of Belgium. All 72 people on board, as well as one person on the ground, were killed.

Among the victims of the plane crash were Team USA Coach Maribel Vinson-Owen and her daughters Lawrence and Maribel, members of the USA National Team. figure skating... Immediately after the tragic news, the 1961 World Cup in Prague was canceled, and new champion skaters appeared in the United States only in 1968.

When investigating the causes of the crash, no signs of malfunction were found on board. Because of what, at an altitude of less than 300 meters, Boeing's engines suddenly increased their power and the already released landing gear "pulled in" back, still remains a mystery.

On a hot summer day, Tashkent footballers flew to Minsk to play the USSR championship match with the local club Dynamo. By a tragic accident, over Dneprodzerzhinsk, at an altitude of eight and a half thousand meters, the Tu-134 collided with another airliner of the same type. All 178 people on both planes were killed. Among the victims of the plane crash were 17 football players of the Pakhtakor team.

After the tragedy, the leadership of the USSR decided to leave the club in the football club for three years Major league country, regardless of the results of his performances at the championships.

Hockey team from Yaroslavl to full complement flew from Tunoshna airport to Minsk, where she was to play her first match of the Kontinental Hockey League in the 2011-2012 season with the local Dynamo.

The plane had difficulties with the climb. It crashed into the antenna of a beacon behind the runway and crashed near the airport. There were 45 people on board the airliner. After the disaster, only crew member Alexander Sizov and hockey player Alexander Galimov survived. Doctors fought with all their might for the athlete's life, but due to terrible injuries incompatible with life, he died a few days later.

After investigating the circumstances of the disaster, the IAC came to the conclusion that the immediate cause of the tragedy was involuntary pressing on the brake pedals during the takeoff of the aircraft. However, the commission could not establish exactly who made the fatal mistake.

We will remind, earlier it was reported that in the Colombian province of Antioquia, a British Aerospace Avro RJ85 aircraft belonging to the Bolivian airline LAMIA crashed. The liner, on board of which there were 81 people, followed from Sao Paulo to Medellin.

At the moment, all injured passengers are urgently hospitalized, reports 360 Radio Colombia. As Dni.Ru, bodies of 25 people were found at the crash site. According to Colombian media reports, from ten to 15 people survived in a passenger plane crash in the province of Antioquia. Among them are the flight attendant Jimena Suarez, a sports masseur, as well as Brazilian football club players Alan Rushel, Marcos Danilo and Jackson Vollmann.
