2017 World Cup Schedule

Biathlon World Cup 2017 will start on November 28 this year. It is at the end of November that the first stage begins in the city of Östersund (Sweden). Varieties of disciplines

The following male and female disciplines have been identified in which athletes will find out which of them is better.

Women's and men's relay: 4x7.5/4x6
Mixed relay: 2x6+2x7.5
Mixed single relay: 1x6+1x7.5 km

For both women and men, the mixed relay distance has the same distance. But one important point must be taken into account. The thing is that the points acquired in all types of relay races of the Biathlon World Cup do not go into the overall standings of the athlete. Only points in individual championships are taken into account, of which there are four varieties in the tournament.

Potential Winners

The absolute champion of the last few seasons among men is Martin Fourcade (France). This athlete raised the coveted trophy over his head 4 times from 2012 to 2016. The composition of the Russian team

Women will also look very worthy in the 2017 World Cup. The obvious leader at the moment is Ekaterina Yurlova. SME Cup 2017 - 2018

Russian biathlete Anton Babikov sensationally won the pursuit race at the first stage of the Biathlon World Cup, which takes place in Östersund.

According to the results of the sprint race, Anton started 7th, but managed to get around the formidable Martin Fourcade during the race with one miss, who made 4 misses at the firing line.

Another Russian Maxim Tsvetkov finished second, and Frenchman Martin Fourcade closed the top three.

The Biathlon World Championship resumes activity. For some time, the athletes rested after the European Championship, but from February 9, new, interesting battles are waiting for them.

The new round of the World Cup will last 10 days from 9 to 19 February. Another round competitions will be held in Austria, namely in the city of Hochfilzen. The stadium is located in the mountains, there are practically no problems with snow - there are large cities nearby (Munich, Salzburg), where there is something to see. However, there are often heavy fogs and rains.

Almost every year the Biathlon World Cup takes place in the small town of Hochfilzen, which is located in Tyrol. Many athletes note that this place is one of the most difficult tracks, both for movement and for shooting. The main reason for holding the competition is clean air and beautiful panoramas. Traditional Austrian friendliness, delicious local cuisine and the intensity of biathlon passions attract more and more biathlon fans to Hochfilzen every year.

Biathlon lovers buy tickets both before the races and in advance on the official website of the biathlon association - as it is more convenient for anyone. The cost of tickets for the track for one day is 10 euros, for the entire period of the competition - 25 euros. A seat in Grandstand B costs 16 euros per day, and a seat in Grandstand A costs 18 euros. All-day passes for these stands can be purchased for 40 and 45 euros respectively. Children under 14 are entitled to free admission.

In total, eleven different races are planned for ten days: there will be both single races and team races. The people of Austria love winter views sports, especially biathlon, so the World Cup in the country will be a great gift for them.
