Study, training, play, victories. Skates, hockey

"Theory without practice is dead, practice without theory is blind"

K. Marx

"Good evening, dear hockey fans!" - with these words you will be greeted at home matches of the Moscow Region “Atlant” ... Someone goes to hockey to shout, someone to cheer for their favorite team, but I prefer the third way: also remotely study what they saw.

For those who somehow stand on skates or have not touched them at all, it's time to get acquainted with this wonderful winter fun! Even if professional hockey players do not play in your city, but there is the Internet and an ice rink - that's enough! Well, if your small household has already begun to try on hockey uniforms and plans to become an NHL star (or KHL, which, incidentally, is secondary in this case), then such videos will only help him achieve his planned goals faster!

We look educational materials, we memorize the exercises, go to the rink and begin to methodically repeat and improve the technique. Sooner or later, things should start to work out well. I wish you success! Do not lose the opportunity to get sick with childhood diseases in time;)

I found a collection of educational films on the net at English language from 8 parts. All files are in dvix format, which is successfully played by Media Player Classic and WMP too. I recommend downloading with special programs such as ReGet, which allow you to continue downloading if there is a break, etc.

Hockey Dream Canadian

Former head of the team of Minsk "Dynamo" Artur Rekshta spoke about his life and work in the Canadian hockey school.

MOVING

We now live in Saskatchewan. I work at the Notre Dame hockey school. The move happened very quickly, and there was no adaptation period as such. This is very cool, considering that not even a year has passed since my arrival in Canada - I think not many succeed. Hockey experience helped me get a job at school.

My position is called "house parent". Like a parent in one of the buildings where the guys who study here live at full board. My family and I were provided with housing, and I watch over 50 pupils. In addition, I am a hockey coach for one of the teams. This squad is not the most high level, but it is understandable - I have never had much relevant work experience. Unless he took part in training camps with the Americans several times. I went through many interviews, a very big conversation took place on the phone - we first lived far from here, in Quebec. For the final interview, we flew to Saskatchewan for one day at the end of July, met people, they looked at us. Then they made a decision and made an offer to move to them. Helped my work experience in Belarusian federation hockey and Dinamo Minsk in the KHL, cooperation with famous American experts - Hanlon, Lewis, Fraser.

An interesting point. When the manager hired me as a coach, he, I know for sure, called Fraser and Lewis about my person. It's good that the resume included such names. I understand the employer who risked choosing me, a person with no experience. Later they told me about those consultations, admitting that the reviews were very good, which played a decisive role in my employment. Dave Lewis is from here himself - his city of Saskatoon is not far from us.

We settled down well. The wife found a job in the city of Regina, the capital of the province, half an hour away as a French teacher at a French school. And the child went to kindergarten. We live here as if for a very long time.

WEATHER

We have a lot of snow this year. And big frosts - below minus 30. But this is a completely different frost, not the same as in Belarus, dry. My wife and I recalled those winters - it was cold, then slush. Here, the frost is not particularly felt - I often go just in a sweater and sleeveless jacket.

The sun shines every day. Therefore, we are not tired of winter yet. There is no flu, only the children are worried about injuries ...

ACTIVITY

In terms of work, everything is very tough for me. The main one begins at three o'clock, when the guys come from school. True, in the morning you need to get up and see that everyone is fine. Then the guys at school, and I kind of free time... But he actually does not exist, because I am engaged in other, hockey business.

I have developed a good relationship with a North American agency that has a long and solid experience in the market. The agency has serious clients - NHL players from America and Canada. I work with him not only for Russian hockey players, but also to the locals who study here at school. I am slowly mastering agency activity. I just started doing this, so it's too early to talk about the results. But I will say right away that there is interest in some young promising Belarusians. I will not name the names yet - no formal agreements have been signed with anyone yet.

I have a good scout friend who works in the NHL system. It also helps you find players. We provide services not only in professional hockey- NHL or junior leagues - but also in the US college tournament. 50 percent of the national team of this country in the last youth championship of the world consisted of just NCAA players. This is the university league, which in Lately very intensively developing, gaining momentum, and its fresh result - 35 percent of college graduates made their way to the NHL. These are late hockey players, they only get into the elite league after university, but their share is already very large. Many Canadians are already looking at America when choosing clubs, although good players of the title nation have always successfully drafted in their country's junior leagues before.

And I also have a partner in Switzerland who has been organizing training camps for the KHL teams for a very long time. We started to cooperate with him quite successfully after my move to Canada. Now we are planning a tournament. Agreements on this matter already exist: one of the KHL teams, two local ones, and one more from Sweden will take part in it. We invite other Kakhael squads to the training camp in Switzerland.

But these are all parallel activities. I remain in hockey and try not to lose ties with the KHL. If everything goes on successfully in the agency business, I will try to get a license in Russia. Then it will be great - I can cover all markets. My hands are now untied. Staying in Minsk, I could not do this: firstly, the work took up a lot of time, and secondly, etiquette and the specifics of the activity did not allow doing parallel things, let alone working as an agent.

STUDIES

To work here as a trainer, I received a license-permit. I had three workshops. You sign up for them freely, you are given a list of topics that you need to go through. I signed up, arrived, went to the class - other coaches were sitting, beginners and not only. We listen to the lecture, then the practical part on the ice. Homework assignments are given to be completed during the year. In parallel with the games, you will need to sign the squad, celebrate

results, draw up training plans. All this is sent by fax or the Internet, and after a year the student is licensed. But at this time, you can already work with the team.

The courses passed very quickly. They are one-day: 3-5 hours. The most interesting thing is that no one looked that you have no hockey past behind you. Nobody asked if you were playing or not. They see: you know how to ride, there is a concept. I played hockey at the level of the "Golden Puck" and trained a little in the sports school. Then he constantly played in the night league. That is, there is a concept.

Of course, it’s hard for now, but I’m not head coach, and second. The main one is an experienced specialist, a Canadian who studied at the same school and played university hockey in the USA. I didn't even have any exercises. Had to search the internet, luckily this is not a problem. I called Lewis, he helped me. I keep in touch with Alexander Andrievsky.

I am responsible for the defenders in the team. They are satisfied with my work. They offered to continue cooperation in the next season. At the same time, you can improve, go to the next level. Already conducted training alone. I like. I had invaluable theoretical experience. And how could he not be, if he used to actually live in a locker room with coaches, and what coaches! Everything lies in the head, and when you start to transfer something new from the KHL, people like it, they listen. Local specialists have no ambitions in this regard. All of them, with the exception of a couple of people, are also teachers at the school, and coaching for them - not the main one.

SHINNY

It struck me that no one was at all embarrassed by the fact that I had never worked as a coach before. But I try to bring in certain things, and it is clear that this is appreciated here. The question "Where did you play?" no one asked me in Canada. We are constantly asked. If you answer, they say, at the “Golden Puck”, they will immediately say: “Well, where are you going? Go do other things. " So the hunt fights back. There is no such thing here. A completely different concept dominates: "If you want, you will achieve it."

In general, children's hockey in Canada is based on the parents. If not for them, there would be no hockey in the country. There are a lot of children in families here, parents go, get a license and put their child on skates. It doesn’t matter that someone didn’t play himself or played very little. With us, it is completely different: all coaches with professional or junior hockey... In Canada, anyone can become a coach: you need to attend safety courses, training courses. Ice Hockey Federation helps a lot teaching materials, everyone receives discs with the necessary information. Then they study with boys up to a certain age, and then transfer them to some schools.

SCHOOL

The school itself is in the truest sense of the word in the village: population - 300 people, houses, and around - fields, farms, steppes. And each of these 300 people is somehow connected with the school. Some have worked before, some now. All people know each other. Very nice environment. No strangers, no crime. There is not even a police station. Everything is very calm. Nobody locks the doors. We live here and do not even know if we have the keys to the house. We leave for the city absolutely calmly.

In addition to hockey, American football, baseball, lacrosse, and European football are developing here. There is one boy from Moscow who is already finishing school, but he is offered to continue his education at the university and play in the league there. Rugby is still very developed - the school's team will soon go to a strong tournament in Las Vegas. There are people who combine different sports. About Lecavalier, it seems, they said that at that time, when he studied here, he played in general in everything. And he played well - in hockey, and in lacrosse, and in baseball, and in American football. Became the champion of the province. That is, the school is aimed at ensuring that children receive a diverse education, do different kinds sports, just were active.

The study here is very serious. V next year training will be entirely on a tablet - based on a Fujitsu computer. Assignments will be given via the Internet, and teachers will be able to control the process. Our school is one of the first in Canada to introduce this method. This is a very big event - we were featured in all the news.

The school was founded by a Catholic priest when the local prairies were settled. There was nothing here before. People from all over the world came here. There are a lot of Ukrainian surnames, but the children know nothing about the country. The traditions laid down by the founder are honored. Children go to church every Sunday, dress nicely, they read sermons. But everything is very free - no one forces anyone. Muslims, Orthodox Christians, Jews live here, but they all go to church together. That is, the school is in the best traditions of pre-revolutionary Russia. We train not only hockey players or scientists, but simply moral people.

It's funny that the pucks and clubs are removed here not by the youngest or the weakest players, but by the leaders, the captains. They also help to pull up the laggards. These guys bear a very big responsibility. In Canada, the captain is not easy best player, but a person who does a lot of related work, including, at the end of the workout, can remove the washers and put the gate after pouring the ice.

The boarding school has eight teams of boys and four girls. At the same time, women's hockey is very developed - all the girls who study here play. This is about 70 people.

For boys, there are eight teams and a ninth, which plays in "Junior A" - the farm of the NCHL Canadian Junior League, the main one in the country. The guys who graduate from our school and fit into this team, play for it and can get a scholarship in the future - to play for a university in America or Canada. And those who are drafted

and signs contracts with clubs in junior leagues, are already considered professionals and lose the opportunity to combine studies at a university and playing hockey.

TEAMS

The competition system is as follows. "Midget" is average age, 15-17 years old. "Bantam" - for children, ninth graders. There is also "Junior". All these levels are divided depending on the skill. We train the team in the weakest group - this is "AA". And it is divided into two more levels - "Team 1" and "Team 2". At the beginning school year there is a screening of all students, even those who studied last year - a place in the composition is not guaranteed to anyone. The guys are divided into teams, and they play among themselves. The coaches are in the stands - they work in the role of scouts. And then they gather, and the screening begins - the first, second, third. The steepest level is "AAA". The strongest guys 15-17 years old who study at school perform here. Their league is of a very high level, and the league is tense, without passing games. What's interesting: the playgrounds are small everywhere here, but our school has a European size. I don’t know why - it was built this way, the school has existed for over 100 years. Due to the fact that on the road, our teams have to play on Canadian courts, the coaches do not change either the system or tactics. Everyone loves European hockey. And in general, I must say, the specialists here are very open people who follow all the important events in hockey: the KHL, the world championships in different ages... They take different exercises from other teams. They brought me a book with a selection of occupations in Sweden, Switzerland, Russia, America. People are very open and don't bother with their own system.

HOCKEY

We have a hockey office with a director and an administrator who does work similar to what I had in the national team and Dynamo. He makes a schedule for the teams: training, gym, field trips, games, tournaments. We have short distances. A school bus is sent - the usual yellow, everyone has seen such in American films. The guys dress in the same suits, throw uniforms on the bus, take a thermo-refrigerator, where sandwiches and juices are collected. We arrive an hour before the match, play, and on the way back we call in either to a restaurant fast food, or we order something for the guys.

We have already visited two tournaments, during which we stayed at the hotel. Here this business is developed, everything is booked very simply, the coach pays with a card on the spot, and the money is then reimbursed to him. Teams of the strongest level - "AAA", we have two of them - travel long distances, spend the night in foreign cities. More comfortable buses are ordered for them.

I had no experience of working with children before - I worked in the federation, in the KHL - but I don't see a big difference in the organization. The hotels here are no worse than those in which we lived with Dynamo in Russia. There are no problems with food. Unless they are embarrassed by children's school buses. On the other hand, they are under the protection of the state and have many privileges on the road.

A common trauma in school children is concussion. This suggests that in matches there is a lot of power struggle, body games. Guys from Russia came to us, asked them if there were any differences. They say that in our leagues the head cannot be lowered even for a second. From the age of 14, they play body on a large court. It's like a law for them. There may be communication problems, difficulty passing, but body play is in the Canadians' blood from birth. Alas, there are many injuries from here. Our level is not that strong, but three people fell out before the playoffs due to concussions.

By the way, we are in first place and only a couple of weeks ago we lost for the first time in the season. The playoffs are starting soon.

ARENA

In the palace we have a cafe, a restaurant. Parents constantly come to the games, often almost the whole school gathers for the matches of the teams of the highest level. The guys dress in our red and white colors, dress up in different characters, fool around, but they also really root for their own.

Our site is European in size. It is hard for the opponents to play, the guests often concede here. But in other places the ice is of the Canadian format. There are very good stadiums, but there are also ordinary school ones. Each small village has one or two ice rinks. They are supported by the local population. For example, we have two palaces: one for school and the other for local. Once a week, residents host burgers there. All population

involved in the work: they make lists, change in a circle. They work for free, maintaining the functioning of the ice rink: they clean the ice with shovels, a car, and local children have been skating there since the age of two. My son is two and a half, but for some reason he doesn't like it yet. And other children immediately go to the rink after school, play hockey there until they turn blue. Moreover, the girls do not lag behind the boys.

At school, everything is more serious: training, the ice is busy almost all the time, the rink is serviced by a special person, plus one more is responsible for cleaning the arena. There is also a gym and game room and classes where children study.

CHILDREN

Our students are mostly Canadians. There are few Americans, since the border is very close here. The Notre Dame School is renowned for having prepared many famous players NHL. Such guys as Vincent Lecavalier, Braydon Coburn, Curtis Joseph and Brad Richards, the captain of the last Canadian youth team, studied here. There are guys from Russia. Before getting here, I was just looking for guys and provided them with services for admission to full boarding schools, where you can play hockey and get a good education... I managed to bring three guys, one of them is Belarusian Kirill Metlyuk from Novopolotsk. He is already finishing school. There are guys from China, Hungarian, many indigenous people - Indians. And even a boy from Australia, by the way, is on my team. And next year someone from Brazil is supposed to come.

How to get here? Just fill out a package of documents. It is also necessary to go through an interview where they will look like a child with English. There was an incident this year when a boy from Russia came with practically no language training, having finished only 7 classes at home. With us, he wanted to enter the 9th (here they teach from the 9th to the 12th), but he simply did not pull in his studies. Parents were advised not to send him to the second semester, since the guy still could not graduate from school. But here is very good program English for foreigners. If the level of knowledge of the language is average or slightly lower, here they will definitely tighten up. The same Kirill Metlyuk arrived with not very good English, but quickly raised his level. Now he is making progress both in his studies and in hockey.

Well, the cost of schooling is rather big. We have it not the highest in Canada, but significant. The cost is about 35 thousand Canadian dollars per year. Plus the flight, other expenses - up to 40 thousand.

ATTRIBUTION

The school has a store that has a full line of products in the colors of the school. These are sweaters, pants, suits, shorts, socks, mittens, hats, cups - in general, everything that can be. The guys buy souvenirs when they go home for the holidays.

Notre Dame fans

Canada is the birthplace of ice hockey. Here the League was formed for the first time, uniting all the professional teams of the country - the NHL. Hockey is in the blood of Canadians. This is a national game. And it is not surprising that the Canadian ice hockey school is the best in the world. For any player who dreams of "growing" into a real professional, Canadian hockey lessons are a real chance to get closer to their dreams and achieve their goals.

Russian stars The national hockey league in numerous interviews, they admit that the Russian hockey school is different from the North American one. And today it is in many ways inferior to her. To educate real fighters who can compete with Western hockey players, coaches are actively introducing techniques and methods of Canadian specialists into the Russian training system.

Basic elements of the Canadian education system

The work is carried out in four main segments:

  • 1. Skating. This is the very first thing a player must master. Without confident skating, there can be no question of a successful hockey career. V Canadian ice hockey school pay increased attention to balance, acceleration, acceleration, braking. The skills of back movement are honed, turns and transitions are practiced.
  • 2. Puck possession. The central and significant element of the game. For a short period of time of possession of the puck, the player must realize the chance to throw it into the goal or give an assist.
  • 3. Throws. To throw the puck into the opponent's goal, a hockey player must masterfully master all possible techniques throws and blows. On the Canadian hockey lessons various game situations and corresponding techniques are studied: tosses, clicks, wrist and sweeping throws, redirects and feints.
  • 4. Puck selection. Canadian Hockey School the use of power struggle in the game is provided. The goal of single combat on ice is to incapacitate the enemy and take the puck. The studied elements of the struggle - the choice of position, the moment for the attack, work with the body, the selection of the puck at the side and in the corner of the site, deceptive maneuvers.

V Canadian ice hockey school with no less attention than the players' technique, they treat the tactics of struggle. Whether it is a game in defense or in attack, every hockey player knows his task and knows how to adequately and strategically respond correctly to any situation.

In training programs Hockey school "Z-Hockey" effective Canadian methods of training athletes have been successfully integrated. Don't miss the opportunity to master the elements of the Canadian game!
