In his speech, the Chairman of the Government of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) Yevgeny Alekseevich Chekin focused the attention of those present on the fact that our republic has joined the WorldSkills movement since 2012, that our participants adequately represent the republic in competitions different levels... Evgeny Alekseevich emphasized that the qualifying competitions for participation in the Final of the VI National Championship “Young Professionals” WorldSkills Russia 2018 are held in the year of promoting employment of the population, which was announced by the head of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) Yegor Afanasyevich Borisov. The right to take the solemn oath on behalf of the participants in the Qualifying Competition was given to Andrey Tikhonov, the winner of the 2017 final in the Reverse Engineering competency. At the end of the ceremony, Oleg Eduardovich Bazer, Deputy Technical Director for organizing the event according to WorldSkills International standards, made a speech. The grand opening of the intracollege stage of the WorldSkills Young Professionals Championship was held at Biysk State College. WorldSkills International (WSI), an international non-profit association that aims to popularize blue-collar occupations, calls these championships “Olympics for workers”.
For several years now Biysk state college takes part in these championships. And if in 2017 our students participated in six competencies, then this year they will compete in ten!
