Thiago Silva - about the match with Russia and the upcoming game with Germany. Thiago Silva: biography and career Silva Brazil

Thiago Silva was born on September 22, 1984. The beginning of his football career turned out to be very difficult. Being a pupil of "Fluminense", Silva did not get the opportunity to prove himself. At the age of fifteen, Thiago went through a number of views in other clubs, but he was not taken anywhere. In 2001, the footballer moved to the modest "RG Football" and began playing professionally in the third Brazilian division. At one of the tournaments in Italy, the coach of the youth squad of “Roma” drew attention to Silva, but the young player refused to move.

Silva managed to make a name for himself as a member of Gyventude. The defender was called the opening of the season, and, as expected, European clubs began to take an interest. Thiago moved to Porto, but played there only for the reserve team. After that, the Brazilian became a player of the Moscow “Dynamo”, but immediately he was mowed down by a terrible disease - tuberculosis. Doctors even told Silva that if he had been hospitalized two weeks later, everything could have ended in death. The footballer began to think about retirement, but changed his mind.

In 2006, Silva returned to Fluminense and began to show high-level football there. For three seasons, Thiago became the best defender in Brazil, and therefore rumors again began to associate him with the transition to many European clubs. At the end of 2008, Silva agreed to move to Milan. In the last match for Fluminense, the player was greeted by 50,000 fans gathered at Maracanã.

At first, Silva could not play for Milan, because the club did not have places in the application for players from outside the EU. Only in the 2009/10 season did the Brazilian debut in official match and immediately won accolades. Thus, Paolo Maldini named Silva as his follower. For three years the Brazilian showed solid defensive play and helped the Rossoneri win the league title. In 2012, the protracted transfer saga involving Thiago culminated in his transfer to PSG. In France, the player quickly earned recognition and even became the team captain. Since then, Silva has helped the Parisian club win trophies year after year.

Silva has been playing for the Brazilian national team since 2008. As part of the "celesao" Thiago won the Confederations Cup in 2013. At that tournament, he played all five matches without substitutions, and he was the team captain. A year later, Silva was one of the leaders Brazilian team already at the home world championship. It is interesting that in the famous disastrous semi-final, in which Brazil lost to Germany 1: 7, Thiago did not play due to the bust of yellow cards. After the 2015 America's Cup, Silva stopped being recruited into the Seleçao ranks, but later returned.

Thiago Silva has managed to achieve dizzying heights in football, becoming the highest paid defender in Europe. The Brazilian is also the leader of one of the strongest clubs in the world - Paris Saint-Germain. However, it was not easy to climb the sports Olympus. The footballer suffered setbacks, but boldly walked forward.

Childhood and youth

Thiago's early biography is not to be envied. The footballer was born in the slums of Rio de Janeiro into an incomplete poor family. Mom raised two more children, a son and a daughter. In an interview, the woman admitted that fate miraculously gave Thiago a chance for life - she wanted to have an abortion, knowing that with the birth of her third child, an already miserable existence would become simply unbearable.

But getting rid of a fetus legally in Brazil is not so easy, for this you need good reasons. The athlete owes his appearance to his grandfather, who managed to persuade his daughter not to take a sin on her soul.

The family lived in a crumbling house, where three children shared one room. Growing up in a criminal area, Thiago made friends with bad companies from childhood. He says that only faith in God saved from the last steps to the "abyss". And also football - from morning till night the boy chased the ball with his neighbor, another future celebrity.

Over time, football turned into a real passion, Silva caught fire with a dream to make sports career... At the age of 14, the teenager joined the ranks of the wards of the Campo Grande school, which was supervised by FC Fluminense. But he could not resist there. Then he got to Barcelona (Rio de Janeiro) and turned into a fan of the Catalan Barça, enthusiastically followed the success of Romario.

Football

Adult soccer broke into Thiago's life in 2004. The young man got his hands on the unremarkable Juventude. European clubs began to pay attention to the talented Brazilian, who occupied the position of a defender on the field.

Even Bruno Conti from Roma looked closely at the player, but was refused by Silva. Without waiting for the final of the first season in the top division of Brazil, the guy left for Portugal, where he began to defend the honor of the Porto reserve team. The transfer value was € 2.5 million.

The young man never made his way to the Porto base, Jorge Costa also stood in defense there. But he made friends with his future agent Jorge Mendes, who threw up a tempting, but very unusual offer - to move to Russia. So Thiago Silva ended up in the Moscow Dynamo.

The footballer was extremely unlucky. At his debut training, the Brazilian received admirable praise from the blue-white coach. The only thing I didn't like was that Thiago got tired quickly. It turned out that the athlete has an open form of tuberculosis. He spent six months in a Moscow hospital.

The footballer had mixed impressions of Russia. On the one hand, I am disappointed that I did not manage to play with the Russians, and on the other hand, I am grateful for the care and attention - the general director of Dynamo Yuri Zavarzin insisted that the football player's mother came to the Russian capital.

Two years later, the attitude towards Russia was spoiled by one incident. In 2006, Dynamo released the recovered Brazilian in peace, canceling the contract. But later, having learned about the purchase of the player by Milan for € 10 million, the organization started a litigation. Muscovites filed a lawsuit against Silva for unauthorized termination of the contract and demanded the return of the alleged compensation in the amount of € 15 million. The court rejected the claim.

After an uncomplicated career on Russian soil, Thiago returned to his homeland, where he was received back by FC Fluminense. Here the young man finally turned around. He quickly gained shape, fiercely held the defense, for which he received the nickname "Monster".

The piggy bank of awards flashed with the Brazilian Cup. Then the country called the player to the national team, and in 2008 Silva won the bronze at Olympic Games ah, and four years later the team brought silver.

Soon he acquired the Brazilian defender in his Milan. Tall and light (with a height of 183 cm, the athlete weighs 79 kg), besides, the incredibly talented Thiago fell in love with Alessandro Nesta and. The latter, who led the team, even named the Brazilian as his successor.

As part of Milan, Silva became the leader, played 93 matches and scored three goals. The team became the champion of Italy, and also won the Super Cup of the country. Thiago was going to stay at the club for a long time, but he was bought in 2012 by Paris Saint-Germain, offering Berlusconi an excellent price - € 42 million.

At PSG the player got the shirt number 2. He quickly adapted to the team and began to manage the defense. Together with his teammates, he won 15 trophies, including four French League Cups. He dreams of being in the first place in the Champions League. The Brazilian signed a contract with the Parisians until 2020.

Personal life

The footballer has not been free for a long time. Thiago's wife's name is Isabelle, the girl has already given her husband two children - the sons of Isago and Iago.

Isabelle is the support and support of the athlete, the couple makes all decisions together. In 2009, the Brazilian defender ended up in Milan at the request of his wife. Real Madrid claimed it, but the girl rejected the prospect of settling in Spain, preferring Italy.

The footballer regularly maintains a page on Instagram, does not skimp on photos and videos with moments from his professional and personal life.

Thiago Silva now

In 2017, Thiago Silva combined work at PSG with training in the Brazilian national team, which applied for participation in football championship world-2018. IN qualifying match with Bolivia, the Brazilian was seriously injured, asking for a substitution in the 29th minute. The player left the field on a stretcher.

Silva was included in the national team, and in June 2018 he went to Russia. The team went brilliantly group stage, beating Switzerland, Costa Rica and Serbia. In the game with the Serbs, Thiago scored the second goal. In the 1/8 finals, the Brazilians fought victoriously with Mexico, reaching the quarterfinals, where they met with the Belgian national team.

There were some dramatic moments within the team. Thiago Silva played by the rules during the game with the Costa Rican national team fair play and returned the ball to an opponent after one of the players kicked it out of bounds.

The Costa Rican did this from behind on the lawn so that medical officials could help the Brazilian striker. But Neymar himself was dissatisfied with the principles of fair play shown by Silva and insulted his teammate.

Thiago Emiliano da Silva(port.-Braz. Thiago Emiliano da Silva; September 22, 1984, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil) - Brazilian footballer, center-back. Captain of the French club Paris Saint-Germain and the Brazilian national team.

Biography

Thiago Silva's first adult team was Juventude and soon attracted attention European clubs and went first to Porto, then in 2005 to Dynamo Moscow, which was then actively buying Portuguese and Brazilian legionnaires. Thiago was only on loan, which expired in 2007, while the player's contract with Dynamo was valid until the end of 2008. A complaint filed with FIFA in 2007 remained unanswered, the Moscow club demands payment of 15 million euros. In Russia, Silva fell seriously ill, and therefore did not have a single meeting for the club:

In 2005 I was rented by Dynamo Moscow, but it was terribly cold in Moscow and I got sick. I was in the hospital for six months. I have always felt hungry. My mother said that I didn’t look sick, but I couldn’t move. The doctors advised me to go for a walk, but I could not get out of bed. I was isolated from everyone, because this disease is very contagious. From time to time the doctor gave me injections, plus I ate 10-15 tablets a day. Eventually I found out that I had tuberculosis for six months. The doctors said that two more weeks and I would have died. I often think back to that time. Then I thought about leaving football.

The then Dynamo doctor Yuri Vasilkov explained:

He began to treat the tuberculosis patient Thiago Silva. Now they write that I saved him - and I was just doing my job, people treating tuberculosis helped me. It was not I who saved it, but Russian medicine. All these Portuguese-speaking guys were brought to the training camp, to watch, to ride. And Thiago has a fever, dandles constantly - I fought for two days, nothing worked. I went up to Oleg Ivanovich: "There is something serious with Tiago." And I was very afraid that AIDS might enter the team. I took Thiago to Lisbon and in the pictures I saw paths in the right lung, coch sticks - hematogenous disseminated tuberculosis. The lung is completely affected and the form is open. The duration of the disease is 8-10 months. That is, he fell ill long before Dynamo. I had to urgently send him to Russia. I managed to check the team on a fluorogram - thank God, there was no contact with anyone. Tuberculosis did not make it to the team. I didn’t take a picture alone, because I was with the patient. But I felt that this did not take doctors. I am glad that Thiago now plays powerfully for the Brazilian national team and PSG. Although he probably already forgot us.

In 2006, the defender returned to his homeland, where he played for Fluminense. He became one of the leaders of the team that managed to reach the final of the Copa Libertadores in 2008. Thanks to his play, he was attracted to the Brazilian national team, in which he won a bronze medal at the 2008 Olympic Games.

In December 2008, Thiago joined Milan for € 10 million. He made his debut in the 2008/09 season in a friendly against Hannover 96. The official debut took place in the match with Siena at the start of the 2009/10 season. In general, I spent the season on high level, practically avoiding mistakes, and rarely getting injured. In the summer of 2010, Real Madrid made an offer of € 20 million plus Rafael van der Wart, but Milan turned down the offer not wanting to let go of their leading defender. In November 2010, Silva told why he did not move to Real Madrid: his wife Isabelle did not want him.

On May 18, 2011, the player extended his contract with Milan until June 30, 2016. On November 27, in the home game against Chievo, he entered the field for the first time with the captain's armband and scored the first goal in the match, which ended with a score of 4: 0 in favor of Milan. In the same year, Thiago won the Golden Samba prize for the best Brazilian player playing in Europe, beating Dani Alves and Hulk in the vote.

On July 14, 2012, the player signed a contract with the French club Paris Saint-Germain for a period of 5 years.

Thiago Silva is an athlete who is well known to all football fans. He is known for his performances for the French club Paris Saint-Germain and the Brazilian national team. This is a talented and effective defender, and therefore should be told in more detail about his career and biography.

Childhood

Thiago Silva, the highest paid player in League 1, was born into a very poor family. His mother already had two children, and she was convinced that she could not raise another. However, a boy was born.

His family lived in the real slums of Rio de Janeiro. Little Thiago grew up in poverty, was often ill. In addition, the parents divorced.

Having become a little older and smarter, Thiago did not get involved with teenage gangs, which were a lot in his area. He decided to follow a dream that seemed unrealizable - to become a football player. He was supported in this by his stepfather - a kind, God-fearing man.

There was little money, but Thiago Silva, whose photo is presented above, did not miss the moment to train. It's hard to imagine, but he couldn't even get into the seedy local team. However, the boy did not give up. At the age of 14, he managed to get into FC Fluminense. There, by the way, he met Marcelo, who became his best friend.

Carier start

Thiago Silva played for FC Fluminense for two years. Then he moved to Brazilian Barcelona, a year later he tried his hand at RG Football. He stayed there, in 2003 he played 25 matches for the main team and scored 2 goals.

And in 2004, the Brazilian signed a contract with FC Juventude, playing in Serie A. There he immediately became a base player. Of course, the talented football player Thiago Silva was immediately noticed by representatives of other, more famous clubs.

Send suggestions. And Thiago, without waiting for the end of his debut season, moved to Porto. They paid 2,500,000 euros for it. True, in Portugal, the young central defender was unable to break into the main team, and therefore played for the backup team in the 3rd division.

In 2005, in January, he was spotted by Dynamo Moscow. WITH Russian club Thiago signed a contract for 3 years, but a month later he began to have serious health problems.

Treatment in Moscow

Footballer Thiago Silva could not stand the Russian climate. In a cold Moscow winter, he fell ill and was hospitalized for 6 months with tuberculosis.

He always felt hungry, could not move, even getting out of bed was hard for him. Thiago was given several injections a day, 10-15 tablets were given. The doctors told him that if he hadn't asked for help for another 2 weeks, he would have died. His entire lung was affected.

Silva later said that at that terrible time he even thought about leaving football. Of course, he did not play a single match for Dynamo, he was only at the training camp. And in 2006 he returned to Brazil to play for Fluminense. There, in three years, he became the leader of the club, even led the team to the Copa Libertadores final. And as part of the Olympic team, he won bronze at the 2008 Olympic Games.

Moving to Italy

In 2008, Milan made an offer to the Brazilian defender. For 10 million euros, Thiago moved to italian club... Shortly thereafter, the Dynamo management announced that they wanted to sue him for 15,000,000 USD. for the fact that he arbitrarily terminated the contract. Allegedly, this amount was spelled out in his contract as "compensation".

But the management received a rejection of the claim from FIFA. Thiago Silva terminated the contract back in 2005, in the summer, so this act - pure water arbitrariness.

The defender's debut in Milan took place in 2009, on January 21. It was a friendly match. The next one took place on August 22. Why? Because Silva was not declared at Milan due to his lack of an EU passport. But he trained with other players. And then ending his career, he christened Thiago his "heir" in defense.

Further career

In 2010, Silva received an offer from Real Madrid. But he refused. Because his family did not want to move to Spain. And Milan also refused.

In Italy, Thiago stayed until 2012, although the contract was extended until June 30, 2016. For one more season, he managed to be in the role of captain of Milan, even received the Golden Samba prize, awarded to the best Brazilian players playing in Europe.

After playing 93 matches and scoring 5 goals, he and his team-mate Zlatan Ibrahimovic went to France to play for Paris Saint-Germain. He was immediately appointed captain. The contract was initially signed for 5 years, but then extended until 2020. During his Parisian career, Thiago Silva played 158 matches and scored 9 goals.

National team

Thiago Silva has been playing for the Brazilian national team for ten years now. The most memorable, of course, was the 2014 home world championship.

He was pretty controversial. The national team, being the favorite, had a great start to the championship. But the semi-final lost to the Germans with a miserable score with a score of 7: 1 morally destroyed the entire squad. And especially Silva. After all, he could not participate in that game, as he earned too many yellow cards, and therefore was disqualified.

But, as they say, life went on. Carlos Dunga, new coach, did not lose faith in Thiago. But he still handed the captain's armband to Neymar, and then to Miranda.

In 2015, Silva, along with other players, participated in the America's Cup. The team reached the quarterfinals, where they lost to the Paraguayans. Silva was accused of losing. When the Brazilians were leading with a score of 2: 1, he played with a hand, for which the team was punished by a penalty. The Paraguayans equalized and then won.

After that, unfortunately, Thiago was not even included in the application for participation in the next America's Cup, the anniversary one. However, the national team in this tournament did not even advance from the group to the playoffs.

But Silva took part in the 2018 World Cup. Though modest, he played only 5 matches. Unfortunately, the player became one of those affected by the 2014 fiasco.

If anyone has forgotten or didn't know the story of Thiago Silva, here's a short introduction.

In 2005 Thiago Silve was 20 years old. Porto sold the defender to Dynamo Moscow, which was heavily invested in Portuguese-speaking players. And if Danny lit so that he was then sold for as much as 30 million euros, then Thiago Silva did not play at all. Upon arrival in cold Moscow in winter, he immediately fell ill.

Yuri Vasilkov (Dynamo's doctor at that time. - Approx. of the Championship), however, claims that the footballer fell ill long before his arrival in Moscow. The doctor and the defense attorney went together to Lisbon, where the examination took place. According to Vasilkov, the lung was completely damaged, the disease had progressed for 8-10 months. Tuberculosis.

Thiago Silva was initially told that he would miss three months. This turned out to be untrue. The Brazilian was placed in a Moscow hospital and isolated from others due to the fact that the disease is contagious. The footballer did not see anyone, except for doctors who spoke a language that he did not understand. Thiago Silva took 10-15 tablets a day and gained 10 kilograms. Due to tuberculosis, the defender did not play a single match in 2005. In 2006 he joined Flamengo as a free agent. The club rejected it with the words: "You are no better than our current players." According to Thiago Silva, the Flamengo coaches had their backs to him when he came to watch.

Then the defender was close to finishing football. However, he was able to overcome the troubles and in the end even became the best Brazilian defender, received the captain's armband in the national team and at PSG. And after all this story, the defender again found himself in Moscow, took part in the victorious match against the Russian national team and answered the questions of the Championship.

- How does it feel for you to return to Moscow after 13 years?
- I am here for the first time since then. The memories are hard, of course. But in 2005, we managed to extract something useful from that situation - a unique experience. After tuberculosis, I found my way up. I am proud to have returned to Moscow as a member of the Brazilian national team. It means a lot to me.

- The main memory of that trip to Russia?
- Photo with Isabelle. Then she was 17 years old. She put on the Dynamo uniform at home. When we went through this situation together, she became my wife. Of course, I have unpleasant associations with Moscow, but this makes us stronger. I proved to myself that I am a fighter.

- At what moment did the thought appear in my head: “It seems that something is wrong with my health”?
- We had a pre-season training camp with Dynamo. I could neither play nor even train. I was taken to Lisbon for a checkup. I was immediately diagnosed with tuberculosis and then sent to Moscow, where I spent six months in the hospital.

- Do you understand where you caught the disease - at Dynamo or at home?
- Apparently, at the training camp, I was already infected and could not train. I had very severe chest pain. Previously, I did not go to the doctor, only when I came to Dynamo, I asked for help. Everything became clear there at once.

- What was it like to spend six months in the hospital?
- Yes, nobody could visit me and I didn't want anything at all. Very difficult moment for me. Only two months later my relatives were allowed to see me. My mom came with a friend. They came once a week and brought me food. Then Isabelle began to visit me. They helped me a lot during that period. I am still grateful to them. And also to God for the fact that I have fully recovered.

We also explain who guaranteed himself a ticket to the 2018 World Cup.

"I didn't understand if I would hit my head on the crossbar or not."

- Was the victory over the Russian national team not particularly difficult?
- In the first half, we had a hard time. The Russians played very closed football. We did not find space between the lines to attack aggressively. Although they were psychologically stable and in the second half, without losing concentration, they achieved their goal.

- Due to what?
- It seems that the opponents got tired in the second half - we rolled the ball a lot from one flank to the other. The Russians had to move a lot.

- Without a single change, the Brazilian national team rebuilt during the break. How did you do that?
- Paulinho moved well, opening up areas for partners. Tite changed our game a little during the break. I think the coaches deserve praise for their work outside the field.

- In one of the episodes, you took the ball off the ribbon.
- I saw that Alison was no longer in time, and I had to knock the ball off the ribbon, which flew under the crossbar. I jumped out and, to be honest, did not even understand whether I would hit my head on the crossbar or not. I just didn't see her and felt that I could hit, but still jumped out as much as possible. Knocked out not on purpose, but wherever. It's good that Miranda was the first to hit the ball and knock it out.

- Soon you will meet with the German national team, for the first time since 1: 7 in the semifinals of the 2014 World Cup. Tite said that this is an important game emotionally. Will it allow you to shed your psychological burden?
- Now is not 2014, but a different moment. Another coaching staff, another match status is friendly. We remember our history, the past cannot be forgotten, and now is the right moment to meet the Germans again. Mentally, we are in a very confident state.

- Why?
- Because we are completely confident in ourselves. Including after the victory over the Russian national team. It is clear that the Germans are also confident in themselves. It will be a match between two top teams with equal chances of winning. It is important for us to win regardless of the fact that it is a friendly match. Especially after our last meeting. Even considering that we play away, we are very strong.

- And the Germans?
- The German national team after winning the 2014 World Cup continues to show excellent football. She is cold-blooded and never relaxes. We are ready to face this rival again, although we are not motivated by the desire for revenge.

- And what?
- The result at the 2018 World Cup is made up of small details. Victory over Germany could be one such detail. The Germans are the favorites of the World Cup, as are the Brazilians, Argentines and the French. But so far we have not achieved anything. Only participation in the tournament.

"The police met me already in the metro." Brazilian press reaction to 0: 3 in Moscow

On the other side of the world they write: Akinfeev is the best of Russians, and Tite made a strange decision.
