Homemade winter fishing tents. We make a tent with our own hands

A comfortable and spacious tent is one of the most important attributes for winter fishing. You just can't do without it. Often, in anticipation of a bite, fishermen have to spend hours in severe frost and wind. Well, if there is a tent nearby, in which you can periodically warm up. But what about those who can't get it? After all, this pleasure is not cheap. Today we will tell you how to do This process does not require special skills and knowledge.

Types of winter fishing tents

To begin with, you must decide on a suitable design. We list the main types of tents:

  • Umbrella. For the manufacture of the frame, dural rods or tubes are used. The finished structure has rigidity and increased strength. Any synthetic fabric is suitable as an awning. Often they are used in combination with tarpaulins.
  • Automatic tent. This option is not as common as the previous one. Distinctive feature design is that the tent is sewn to an elastic frame, and then folded into a circle.
  • Frame on arcs. Such a model consists of 2-3 arcs made of fiberglass or duralumin. The structure quickly unfolds in place. An awning is being pulled over it.

What shape can a winter fishing tent have? Cube, triangle, trapezoid and so on. The choice is yours.

What requirements should a homemade tent for winter fishing meet?

About everything in order. Main function tents - to protect a person from adverse weather conditions (sleet, strong wind). It also improves the comfort of fishing. Under the awning, you can cook food and tea, as well as warm yourself using special heating devices. Of course, on sale there are a variety of tents for winter fishing. The photos attached to this article prove to us that home-made designs are no worse than store ones.

So, to business. What to pay attention to Special attention when sewing such an important attribute? for fishing, made by hand, must meet the following requirements:

1. Have a light, compact and mobile design. This is quite understandable. Some fishermen will prefer to freeze for several hours than to carry an extra load on themselves.

2. Quick to unfold and easy to install.

3. It is desirable that the do-it-yourself winter fishing tent be made of thick tarpaulin or waterproof fabric.

4. A truly strong frame is obtained from aluminum and composite materials. But plastic is not recommended.

5. Keep warm inside the tent. It would be nice to achieve this without heating devices (portable, gas and others). But this is a utopia...

What materials and tools will you need?

A do-it-yourself winter fishing tent is a great solution that will allow you to save a lot of money. We propose to assemble a fairly simple design. It's about about a tent based on a standard box, which can be purchased at an angler's shop. We will also need:

  • one pair of children's (very small) and school skis (up to 160 cm long);
  • several duralumin tubes (you can remove them from ski poles);
  • old folding bed;
  • (to be used as an awning).

Do-it-yourself winter fishing tent: instructions

Everything necessary materials and tools are prepared. Now we can move on to the practical part:

1. We take duralumin ones. We will make vertical tubes of the frame from them. As for the horizontal tubes, they should be a little thinner. The upper joints of the ribs of the future tent are made in the form of tees, which end in cylinders (length 5 cm). It is very important that the diameter of the cylinders is the same as that of the connected tubes.

2. We proceed to fixing the lower ends of the vertical tubes to the skis. The shaped lock plays the main role here. At the lower end of the tube we find the T-shaped tongue, and then carefully insert it into the metal plate fixed on the ski. It remains to rotate the tube 90 degrees.

3. To connect the frame of the tent with the box, we use 2 duralumin tubes bent at the ends from the old folding bed. The end of the docking product must be fixed to the end of the bent tube. At its other end, we install a latch, which, during docking, with its tongue will fall exactly into the hole on the second bent tube.

4. The box will be connected to the tubes mentioned above using round lugs arranged on ski racks. They can be made from copper or steel strip, and then attached to the racks.

5. Now you need to pull the awning. On the lower edge of the material we install metal plates with slots. It is in these slots that the U-shaped brackets driven into the side ends of the skis will pass. We fix the connections with shoe laces. To keep the tent well on the ice, you need to equip it with anchors (2 pieces). Each such anchor is with two blades at the ends.

Assembling the tent on site

Craft winter tent- only half the story. It needs to be properly assembled and installed. The algorithm of actions is as follows:

1. We connect the halves of bent tubes with skis. The tongues should fall into the slots of the plates. The tubes are located along the axis of the skis, and then rotated 90 degrees.

2. We pass the ends of each pair of tubes through the lugs on the ski racks.

3. We connect all 4 skis. The tongue of the lock of the bent tubes should click into place.

4. Let's start installing the box.

5. We carry out the installation of 4 vertical racks at the ends of the skis.

6. Now you need to install tees on the ends of the tubes, and then connect them to the roof tubes.

7. We combine the holes of the tubes and tees. Wires will run through them.

8. Pull the awning onto the frame. Through the brackets and tongues available on the skis, we thread the carabiners and plates. We fix the connections with laces.

9. At the end of the process, we attach anchors and install them in pre-prepared holes.

Conclusion

Now you know, with your own hands, what materials and tools are required for this. By following the recommendations and instructions described above, you will be able to create a stable and reliable design.

Winter fishing is a lot of positive emotions that can be diluted with some of the negative emotions associated with weather conditions. It is not difficult to imagine what discomfort the angler feels in the presence of frost, and even wind, which enhances the feeling of cold. The wind may not be strong, but it can bring a lot of problems. If you have a winter tent for fishing, then some of the problems can be reduced to zero.

The presence of a tent allows you to increase the total time the fisherman stays on the pond in the winter. Moreover, you can easily raise the temperature in the tent to a positive mark, which will allow the fisherman to feel very comfortable.

Depending on the design features, winter tents are divided into specific models.

These are the simplest designs that are easy to assemble and install. To make the frame of such a tent, you should use durable, but lightweight materials. Synthetic fabrics or their combinations with tarpaulin are more suitable as an awning for covering.

The design is designed in such a way that the frame acts as a spring, which takes the desired shape when it is released from the package. They are quite popular due to their simplicity of design and lightness. Despite this, these tents have a number of disadvantages. Firstly, they are not very resistant to strong winds, and secondly, it is not so easy to fold it. Therefore, going fishing, you will have to work out before that. It unfolds itself, but without skills, it will be very difficult to fold it, and if you overdo it, you can break it.

This tent consists of several folding arcs and an awning, which covers this frame. We can safely say that this is the same simple option, but it takes a long time to assemble and disassemble. In addition, it is not particularly durable. Therefore, anglers rarely acquire a similar design.

A winter fishing tent should protect the angler from wind, frost and precipitation. Not only that, the tent should have enough space to relax so that you can cook dinner or just drink tea to keep warm.

In specialized outlets, you can buy any tent, especially since the range is very large. Be that as it may, some anglers make them on their own, taking into account all the requirements. In addition, who, if not fishermen, knows what kind of tent is required. Moreover, not all factory-made models meet the requirements of winter fishing enthusiasts.

A homemade tent should be:

  • quite light and compact;
  • mobile so that you can easily move;
  • covered with dense but breathable fabric;
  • easy to install and dismantle;
  • durable and strong, as well as keep warm for a long time.

To work, you will need to stock up on such tools

Most tents made by anglers themselves fit in fishing box. The box, by the way, can also be made independently, which is what many fishermen do, although you can buy it. In addition to the box, you will need the following accessories:

  • two pairs of skis, one for children, one for school;
  • tubes. In this case, it can be ski poles;
  • unnecessary folding bed;
  • thick fabric, such as a tarpaulin.

At first glance, how can a tent be built from such a set of elements. But, nevertheless, such a design proved that it has the right to life. The final product fits into a fishing box, which is very easy to transport across the ice. The construction is quick and easy to assemble and just as easy to move across the ice in working condition.

The only negative is that there is not enough space in it. But if you approach the problem constructively, then there is an opportunity to solve it and increase the tent in volume. Paradoxically, but it protects from the cold, and this is the main thing.

Judging from the drawings, the tent is mounted on skis, which simplifies its installation on the ice. Ordinary tents require special fasteners. In addition, skis allow you to move the entire structure around the pond countless times. As a rule, winter fishing is not limited to one punched hole - there can be ten or even more, and each hole has to be caught.

The only thing is that it is problematic to use it in the presence of a strong wind, since it is installed on skis, the wind will be able to move it around the pond on its own. In this case, you can get used to it and use the power of the wind to move it. The main thing is to drill holes correctly.

Despite the fact that this design was born a long time ago, many anglers have tested it in the harsh conditions of winter.

How to make a tent with your own hands

  • Ski poles serve as a frame and are installed vertically. Horizontal tubes should be thinner. At the corners, the frame is connected using tees, the diameter of which must match the diameter of both vertical and horizontal tubes.
  • The next step is to attach the vertical tubes to the skis. A metal plate is attached to the ski, into which a tongue is inserted in the letter T, fixed at the lower end of the tube. To fix the stick, it is enough to turn it at an angle of 90 degrees.
  • From an old folding bed, two sticks are being prepared that will connect the frame to the box. A bent tube is taken, at the end of which there is a docking station. At the other end of the tube is a latch, which serves as a fastener for the docking station.
  • A spring is made from a copper strip, which connects the box with the tubes.
  • In conclusion, it remains to stretch the awning. Metal strips with holes are attached to the bottom of the tent. Brackets fixed to the ends of the skis are pulled into these holes. The awning is connected with brackets using ropes. For stable behavior of the tent on ice, it is equipped with two anchors.

How to make fasteners

If the tent is not fixed on the ice, then at the slightest movement it will move in any direction, especially in the presence of wind. Therefore, it is necessary to make special pegs, at the end of which there is a thread. For this purpose, long and durable self-tapping screws are suitable, the top of which is bent in the form of a hook. By the way, hooks with threads of any size are available in hardware stores.

How to sew a tent with your own hands

Alternatively, you can make a tent in the form of a house. To make it you need to take:

  • Water-repellent fabric, 14 sq. meters.
  • Metal washers, 1.5 mm in diameter, 20 pcs.
  • Braided rope, up to 15 m long.
  • Narrow tape, about 9 m long.
  • Bedding fabric, rubberized within 6 m.

Such a tent can accommodate one or even two people. First of all, you need to prepare two pieces of fabric, measuring 1.8x0.9 m. On the side of 1.8 m, marks are made every 65 centimeters. The same is done with the other (0.9 m) side. The fabric should be cut at the connection points, then you get the entrance and the back wall of the tent.

The diagram shows step-by-step the implementation of further work. Most importantly, all details must be sewn securely. Tape should be used to reinforce the seams. There are times when a tent is sewn from ordinary fabric. In case of bad weather, a polyethylene film is used, which is able to protect against wind and precipitation. Metal rings are sewn into the fabric for fastening. As a rule, they are placed along the bottom of the awning, as well as in the places where the fabric is attached to the frame.

Setting up a tent on a pond

Assembly makeshift tent skiing takes a minimum of useful time:

  1. The skis, on which the tongues are fixed, are connected to the halves of the tubes located parallel to the skis. They should be directed inside the tent.
  2. Each pair of bent tubes is threaded through special holes located on the ski racks.
  3. Skis are interconnected so that a rectangle is obtained.
  4. A fishing box is installed on the structure prepared in this way.
  5. At the ends of each ski, vertical racks are installed. There should be four of them.
  6. Tees are taken and with the help of them a roof is formed. They are installed on each vertical rack.
  7. With the help of horizontal tubes, the frame is finally formed.
  8. A fabric is thrown over the frame, which is attached to the frame with short ropes.

A similar tent is disassembled in reverse order. If each structural element is numbered, then the assembly and disassembly process will take somewhat less precious time.

Tent for winter fishing can buy. They are different: large, small, medium; quite cheap and quite expensive. In any case, you can choose according to your budget and needs, buy and not bother - this is my opinion. But, there are people with obvious “creative incontinence” and too smooth hands growing from that very place. Here, this article is for them - how to make your own ice fishing tent.

So why is it needed? For wind and snow protection. Consider several options for independently making a tent for fishing in the winter. As usual, there is a simple way and a more complex, thorough one, as well as a very thorough and very laborious one. I will briefly describe all three.

. Well, this is the most conditional and easy-to-make shelter from snow and, to some extent, from the wind.

It's even, rather, not a tent, but such a cape. Our task is to make a dome from a dense polyethylene film. The support of the tent will be an ice screw. To do this, we extend the drill to the maximum and screw it at an angle into the ice, as can be seen from the figure. Polyethylene can be cut in the form of an isosceles right-angled triangle, so that when it is folded in half, it naturally turns out to be a right-angled isosceles triangle. If you forgot the geometry or did not understand anything, here is the diagram.

Accordingly, we sew a zipper, which can be closed. We make holes in the eyelets along the perimeter of the bell. Through these holes we will fasten the cape to the ice with steel pins or nails.

The dome of a polyethylene tent is not the best solution in terms of strength. It is quite difficult to sew a zipper well so as not to tear the film. But, on the other hand, the film is transparent and everything is visible around. So, you can make a dome out of fabric (light, translucent or denser). You can make a dome according to a more advanced pattern. This is already a transition to a more complex design of a winter tent. Here, already, an ice drill will not work as a support. At a minimum, you need a central support, higher. It can be made foldable by attaching the sections with tubes, as in old bamboo rods. One end is sharp for cutting into ice. We stretch the dome on such a central support and stretch the edges, driving pins into the ice through the holes (or using stretch ropes sewn to the canopy of the tent).

Even more complex structures, as in the figure, require more than one support. In addition to the central one, 4 or more auxiliary supports are required on the sides. In this way, you can make a fairly large tent. Of course, the larger the tent, the more folding supports, the heavier and more voluminous the tent will be when folded ...

And, the most outdated, time-consuming and complex option make a tent for winter fishing- make a collapsible rigid frame of aluminum tubes. And already a dome made of thin fabric is pulled onto the assembled frame. Lots of design options! I think if you have come to such a life that you want to make this kind of tent on your own, then you will design and construct it yourself to make it even more interesting

I repeat. Personally, I think that with the current abundance of winter tents on sale, and their moderate cost, making it yourself is a dubious idea. But perhaps there are fans of various homemade products and they will decide make your own ice fishing tent. I hope that these brave people will find some useful ideas in the proposed material.

Tents according to their purpose are divided into:

  • intended for parking;
  • for swimming;
  • for transportation.

Parking

Protect the boat from external factors when moored. The canopy completely covers the boat, turning it into a ship, which, for example, allows you to carry out the necessary repairs under the roof.

  • the motor is tightly closed and protected from water ingress;
  • fasteners are made with cords threaded into special rings of fittings for the awning structure;
  • The simple design ensures fast, reliable and durable installation.

Swimming tents

  1. Nasal. It performs the function of protection against water splashes. Mounted on the bow of the boat. Options:
    • with the presence of a viewing glass;
    • without sight glass.
    • Specifications:
    • primary colors of green and gray;
    • small volume and weight;
    • easy installation;
    • aerodynamic shape to help preserve initial speed and sustainability.
  2. Running. The awning reliably protects the fisherman from influence of the sun, wind and water. Consists of front, side and rear structural elements. By design, 2 types of awning differ:
    • with non-detachable elements;
    • with connected elements.
  3. Transformer. This variety is the best option protection and convenience. The peculiar name was obtained due to the presence of six transformation positions, through which ventilation is provided, as well as fishing on rainy days. Made in a tent fashion, with simple installation and use, taking into account the complete shelter of the boat.
  4. Frame. These awnings are also called "roof awnings". Provide protection of the fisherman and his accessories from excessive action of rays of the sun and rainfall. Pretty easy to set up and use. The presence of high strength and long-term use are its characteristic distinguishing features.

Shipping

The function is to reliably protect the surface of the craft. As a rule, awnings should not let in moisture, dust and dirt. The "blanket" is equipped with fastening devices, through which it is firmly fixed on the boat.

How to make a tent

To fasten the tent to the ice, it is best to use the screws, which you can also make yourself. The simplest option is to weld pieces of a metal rod to long self-tapping screws.

Rubber or silicone tubes can be put on the bar on both sides, in which case it will not cool your hands, and it will be more convenient to hold it. Such a screw can be easily screwed into the ice, and then removed back.

You can also use self-tapping screws to mount the tent. Their advantage is that they are hollow, so they are easier to screw into the ice.

At the end of each self-tapping screw with a needle file, you need to sharpen 3-4 sharp teeth. It is also advisable to drill a through hole that will go into the ring.

To make the screws easy to screw in, you can use a piece of metal rod, which will play the role of a handle.

Do-it-yourself frame tent for winter fishing

A more complicated option is the manufacture of a frame tent. The frame can be made from metal or plastic pipes, connecting them with small tubes, angular and three-way hinges. At right approach you get a reliable design that can be quickly assembled and disassembled. Thus, a do-it-yourself tent for winter fishing can be made of any size and shape.

The frame tent can be placed on a sled. In this case, it will be easy to move on the ice. To make a sled, you must use the same metal tubes and any suitable wooden or plastic skis.

As frame materials are used:

  • aluminum tubes;
  • steel wires with spring properties;
  • fiberglass rods with spring property.

The shape of the frames are either angular or in the form of an arc. The characteristic properties of springing serve to firmly stretch the awning. Aluminum frames are structural, taking into account the insertion of one part into another.

What materials are used

The main material for the manufacture of awnings are synthetic fabrics, on a nylon basis. For the manufacture of observation parts - window, frontal - polyethylene or lavsan is used. However, long-term operation is reflected in a decrease in the quality of the review. Therefore, it is recommended to use a polyvinyl chloride-based film.

On a note! The polyvinyl chloride fabric itself is not used in the manufacture of awnings due to roughness, heaviness and the complete absence of air passage.

Making a dome tent

You can make a more complex pattern and make a dome tent. Do-it-yourself ice fishing tent in the shape of a dome will take more time to manufacture. It is not as compact during transportation as a cape, but it will be much more convenient to fish in it.

Ice drill as a support for the dome is not suitable. It is necessary to prepare a special spacer with a pointed end that will stick into the ice. To make the tent easy to transport, the strut must be collapsible. Its individual sections can be connected using metal tubes - this type of fastening was used in old bamboo fishing rods.

Along the edges of the dome there should be holes for attaching the tent to the ice using spacers. Another option is to sew loops.

bow awning

In manufacturing, for reasons of safety, convenience and "dryness", moisture-resistant materials and appropriate components will be required to optimize the quality of waterproofing.

First you need to decide on the exact dimensions of the boat and, if necessary, make the appropriate drawings. In addition, to determine the fastening of the frame, it is necessary to inspect the fastening fittings located on the sides of the boat.

On a note! The first manufacturing steps are made by making an approximate size of the pattern on the "experimental" fabric, after which the sketch is transferred to the main material. At the same time, one should not forget about the additional fabric allowance to form a “sleeve” for passing the fastening.

Do-it-yourself tent for winter fishing - making the floor

It is not necessary to make a floor for a tent, but it will make fishing as comfortable as possible.

For its manufacture, isolon (polyethylene foam) is perfect - one of the varieties of sheet insulation.

It is better to take a variety of this material with the smallest bubbles - it is very dense and conducts heat minimally.

Such a floor helps to keep warm. When using it, the ice under the tent does not melt even when using powerful heating devices. In addition, all fishing accessories can be laid out on an isolon mat, which do not have to be placed in the snow.

How to make a walking awning

The organizational stages of manufacturing this type are similar to the bow: we determine the dimensions of the boat, the frame, we make an awning pattern on test material.

You will need the following materials:

  • a pipe for an arc with a size of at least 20 mm (at least 4 m);
  • bracket (at least 9 pcs);
  • awning fabric (not less than 9 m);
  • kapron threads;
  • transparent film for window parts;
  • fasteners for fastening parts of the awning when they are rolled up (at least 10 pieces);
  • buttons for fastening the awning.
  1. To begin with, a frame is made: one pipe will be the carrier ( big size), and the second one will be mounted on the middle part of the carrier (small size).
  2. Production takes place by bending aluminum pipes until it acquires the desired shape, taking into account the dimensions of the boat and the estimated height of the ceiling of the future tent.
  3. Having prepared the desired shape of the arc and retreated at least 20 cm from the base of the tube, a device is placed in the middle of the supporting frame - a retainer with holes for bolts.
  4. The small frame is equipped at the ends with a fastening device with a coupling to limit its rotation in one direction. With these fasteners, parts of the frame are fixed to each other with bolts. Here you need to take into account that the limiter in the fastener is on outside small frame, from the carrier.
  5. Having previously installed the frame on the desired part of the boat, marks are made to accommodate patches-mounts.
  6. The parts of the boat where marks are made are cleaned and smeared with glue. In the same way, patches are smeared and glued.
  7. The upper edges of the frames must be provided with clips-rails, in which rubber shock-absorber belts will be attached, equipped with hooks, which will be attached to the front and rear parts of the boat cylinder in the mounting fittings.
  8. After installing and fixing the frames in a vertical position, as a rule, the entire structure of the running tent will be placed on them. After the fabrication and installation of the frame, it will be necessary to cut out the elements of the awning. They consist of several parts, including transparent oilcloth parts for front and side viewing.
  9. In the manufacture and pattern, the lower parts of the side and front elements must have a spare length of up to 20 cm, where they will be folded to the inside, thus forming a passage for the rope. The folded part must be provided with holes for eyelets with a distance of up to 15 cm.
  10. The side, viewing and overlying parts of the awning must be zippered from the inside in order to combine with other elements of the awning and the frame.
  11. On the end parts of the awning, where the zippers are sewn, it is necessary to fix button attachments to tightly fix the parts of the awning and prevent the opening of zippers when exposed to wind.
  12. After the fabrication and pattern of the awning, the first thing to do is to fix the ceiling part of the awning to the frame arcs. The top of the awning is stitched with three zippers. One zipper is sewn on the inner side, one on the edge of the awning and one on the outer middle part between the inner and outer zippers. Here you need to take into account the wrapping of the zipper on the upper arc of the frame.
  13. The awning is pulled onto the frame by attaching the outer and inner zippers to each other, taking into account the coverage of the frame arc.
  14. An external zipper is used to attach the viewing and side parts to each other.

How to sew a tent awning

An awning for an ice fishing tent can be sewn in one evening, and for this it is not at all necessary to be a needlework master.

Before stitching the tent, individual patterns must be fastened with pins that are perpendicular to the seam, the more of them, the better.

Transformer

The transformer in its manufacture is one of the most difficult to implement. Tubes and fasteners will be required in significant quantities. In addition, it is planned to use special glue and a number of accessories such as hooks, eyelets, rubber accessories.

All samples and sketches of awning elements must take into account the volume of the product. The peculiarity of these awnings lies in their removable characteristics. In cases of need, the entire structure can be assembled on the back of the boat, following the example of a convertible.

  1. In the manufacture of frame arcs, they must be provided with hinges for binding to each other. Also, the arches should be attached to the sides of the boat, taking into account the possibility of quick assembly with the awning canvas.
  2. The manufacture of arcs occurs by analogy with a running awning. Bends are made until the desired shape is obtained.
  3. The front, small arc of the frame is attached to the middle of the supporting frame by means of a thrust hinge. This hinge is also a limiter in the rotational actions of the small frame to the outer part from its position.
  4. The sides of the frames should be equipped with railing clips through which shock-absorbing belts will be pulled and fastened to the side fittings of the boat. In this case, the frame will be firmly fixed in a vertical position.
  5. After that, the cutting and cutting out of the awning elements on the basis of the installed frame begins.
  6. By analogy with running awnings, the formation of transformers occurs by flashing the joining, between the elements of the awning, parts with zippers.
  7. The lower parts of the awnings must be sealed by folding the end of the tarpaulin with a double layer and stitching.
  8. These parts are provided with holes for eyelets, in which hooks will be placed in order to attach them to the side fittings of the boat cylinder.
  9. After the top is located on the frame by means of a zipper, the viewing, side and rear parts of the awning are attached to it also by means of zippers.
  10. Having placed and attached all parts of the awnings to each other, you need to pull them down with hooks and attach them to the side fittings of the boat's balloon.
  11. Straps are sewn on top to hold and fix certain elements of the awning. In fact, the difference between the transformer lies in the collection of its elements in a separate order. If necessary, you can roll up the side or front parts, fastening them with a fixing strap.

Parking awning

By analogy, it is drawn up strictly in accordance with the dimensions of the boat. The following materials are used:

  • waterproof material;
  • masking or adhesive tape;
  • fastening buttons, or eyelets;
  • scissors;
  • markers.
  1. Awnings of this variety are made taking into account the absence of frame arcs. It is necessary to completely cover the boat with awning material;
  2. After preliminary measurement of the desired part of the boat, it is necessary to cut out the tent, taking into account the separation of additional dimensions along the edges, to accommodate fasteners, sew the sleeve, to pass a rubber cord through them;
  3. In the covering state on the awning, measurements are made of such auxiliary inserts as pockets, zippers;
  4. Next, proceed to cutting on a typewriter;
  5. The finished coating is pulled onto the boat;
  6. The awning should tightly cover the entire surface of the boat, its lower parts are pulled down along the entire perimeter, and attached with sewn fastening hooks (depending on the side fittings of the boat) to the fittings of the boat.

Biminitop

Roof tents are another type. A distinctive feature of such awnings is the absence of side walls. In terms of its implementation, the awning is very simple.

Materials:

  • waterproof material;
  • transparencies;
  • metal arcs;
  • belts with buckles for cushioning;
  • connecting carabiners.
  1. To begin with, it will be necessary to prepare the supporting parts, consisting of aluminum tubes in the amount of 4 pieces.
  2. After counting more than 20 cm from the end, support hinges are installed on two tubes. Similar hinges are also installed on the ends of the remaining two tubes.
  3. By means of hinges, a pair of tubes is attached to tubes with hinges at a part of the base. In a vertical position, the finished structure should display the letter "U".
  4. Based on the width of the expected surface of the boat cover, metal arcs are formed, taking into account their connection to the support tubes.
  5. In order to achieve the integrity of the tubes, it is possible to pass a rod consisting of a strong rubber material through the inside of the support tubes and the arc of the frame, which will be attached to the base parts of the opposite support parts.
  6. Next, on the side parts of the boat, you need to place 2 patches, with a hole for the bolt, and on the back and front of the boat 4 carabiners, into which the support tubes will be tied by tightening the cushioning belts from the frame parts to the carabiners.
  7. After the supports are installed on the patches, on upper part frame, you need to stretch the awning material.

    On a note! When pulling the bow legs towards the stern of the boat, the front part of the awning should be pulled more tightly so that it is at a lower level than the back bow. By doing this, the aerodynamics of the structure will not be compromised.

  8. Having made the necessary measurements of the awning in cutting it out, you need to leave an extra 15-20 cm of material around the edges for making sealing layers.
  9. In the compacted parts of the upper element of the awning, zippers are sewn from the front and back.
  10. Sleeves through which nylon threads will be passed, which will be attached to the arcs of the frame.
  11. One pair of zippers is sewn on from the inside of the awning, and the second pair is sewn on from the extreme side of the awning.
  12. After that, the finished awning is taken and superimposed on the arcs of the frame, taking into account the folding of the ends of the tent on its inner part towards the zippers sewn from the inside, fastened and fixed.

Thus, the awning is installed.

  1. Awnings depend on the general shape of the boats and their purpose. In the situation of using tents, taking into account the overnight stay, it is necessary to provide for ventilation possibilities.
  2. The dimensions of the boat, its features should be taken into account when the boat is in an inflated state.
  3. Tarpaulins are often used in the form of awning materials. But, we must take into account the fact that tarpaulins eventually become pliable under the influence of moisture. To prevent this, you need to treat the tarp with a waterproof composition.

If a folded metal fan is bent in the middle by 45 degrees, and then unfolded, you get a miniature tent. On this principle, a home-made winter tent was made. The tent is quadrangular, but there are five posts - the fifth post, when the tent is “closing”, is superimposed on the fourth. It is convenient to transport it in a case with a height of 1 meter and a diameter of 15 centimeters. Total weight 3 kilograms. Disassembly and assembly takes less than a minute.

The frame of the homemade winter tent is made of duralumin ski poles. On the top plate (duralumin 3 mm thick), let's call it a "circle", three solidly threaded M6 bolts are rigidly installed from bottom to top, which are the rotation axes of racks 2, 3, 4 and 5.

Rack 1 is fixed rigidly. Each bolt on top of the plate is tightly tightened with a nut. The middle bolt rises above the two side bolts in such a way that the posts 4 and 5 pass freely over them.

In front of the circle from below, a plate with bends for hooks of racks 2 and 3 is rigidly fixed; hooks fix the posts when the tent is fully opened. Racks 4 and 5 can be in intermediate position- next to racks 2 and 3 or connected to each other.

All racks, except for the fifth, have spacers that keep them from folding inward. When deploying a homemade tent, it is necessary to squeeze each one with your hand, and when folding, pull it towards you.

For greater lateral stability of a homemade tent, posts 1, 2 and 3 are interconnected by crosses made of narrow braid. The crosspieces also protect the polyethylene film from being "punched" by the wind inside the tent.

The awning is made of a polyethylene film. Ribbons are sewn on the outside and inside of each rack with a stitch with a large step. To attach the awning to the frame, strings are sewn to the awning against each break of the uprights and the bottom of the uprights. At the top of the awning, the film is neatly collected and closed with a cap made of oilcloth or tarpaulin and is not tightly clamped with a wing bolt.

It is desirable to fold the tent in the wind so that the awning moves away from the racks. If this is not done, then the awning may be cut by struts. In calm weather, you just need to spread the awning with your hand, then fold the racks in one motion, straighten the film and put it in the cover the way you lay an umbrella.

All parts and components of the tent structure are easy to manufacture, and there is no need to describe the technology in detail. Connections - like in a camping cot, but on bolts and nuts. If you replace them with rivets, the tent will become even lighter.
