Francesca Alfredovna Yarbusova - Hedgehog in the fog

The famous film "Hedgehog in the Fog" was drawn by Yuri Norshtein's wife, Fyodor Yarbusova.
She embodies all the ideas of Yuri Norstein.
They say as soon as her drawings get too pretty
Norstein gets angry and tells him to paint with his left hand.

Yarbusova in her work shows that black is as ordinary as everything, nothing worse. Of course, there is a shade of scary or sad in him, but this does not make the artist's work tragic, although light sadness is almost always present.

The most common works of Francesca Yarbusova are no less mysterious: watering ink beds with wormwood, feeding butterflies, wiping windows in houses - an entire street, and so carefully so as not to accidentally brush dust off their cardboard facades (because dust can be important for an artist) , and turn a handful of coffee grounds into a blizzard ...

This is called convention, although convention is a completely different concept. All art is conditional insofar as it uses signs. The writer is given the word, the musician - the sound, the director - this whole spectacular world, its materiality, which must be turned into a stream of action. And the artist is given a form, light, a contour of action, a contour of plastic frames - with all this he must live and work, collect his world according to the laws that he discovers for himself.

Yu. Norshtein: "Another artist can paint it perfectly with all the details, but still there will be no smell. And if Francesca could not,
did not know how to make with four strokes the darkness, convulsion or fever of this darkness,
then as an artist I would not need her at all.
As a child, she wandered among some wastelands, saw how flowers make their way through rusty iron. She knows very well where to look for which herbs. All this remained in her, and now she draws from this source, involving her knowledge, her memory in creativity. "

Francesca Yarbusova: “According to my mother, I started to draw, and only then walk. But there was a war, 1943. My mother and I returned to Moscow. We lived in the passage of the Moscow Art Theater. It was cold. On one side of my bed, my mother put homemade tiles, on the other she moved the table, gave me a pencil and a bundle of spoiled stationery from the post office. Pencils and paper were my first toys.
a rag doll with a heavy clay head appeared.
As a child, I was, perhaps, not a very sociable child, and not because I did not know how to jump over a string, play "stander" or "knives". I loved to run away into the "open field" - as I called the wasteland, which stretched from our houses (the writer's town) to the very Serebryany Bor. It was a mysterious country with heaps of construction waste, wrecked planes and cars, thistles, swans and a shallow river. I was returning home with trophies. Appliances from a wrecked car, pieces of decorative tiles, boxes with beetles and butterflies fell out of pockets. Sometimes all the curtains in the house after my arrival were full of insects. "

Everything that is understandable lies beyond the bounds of the mystery of creativity. As soon as the artist introduces this into the analytical system, he will begin to repeat himself. And he should not be able to repeat what he painted.

Francesca Yarbusova: "Hedgehog in the Fog" appeared when Norshtein was already conceiving "A Tale of Fairy Tales". He decided, in the meantime, to shoot a little fairy tale. And it turned out such a harsh job! Many things were unknown how to do. Continuous experiment. They filmed real water and placed it through the projector into my painted leaves. And the water was treated with a stroke to achieve a uniform texture. "

The highest skill is not the ability to draw. The ultimate skill is to find these relationships within the image to give the supersensible side of the motion picture. And this does not belong to the area of good drawing ...

Imperfection itself contains something that goes beyond the perfect. It's like the thinnest razor blade: the tip has no measurement. And at such a moment, what is called obsession, illumination, happens. Drawing correctly is much easier than drawing imperfectly. In addition, internally, intuitively, I always feel that there can be no perfect thing, since the world itself is like that. It is built on imperfection, its disequilibrium.

At this very break, wiring, between the extremes, some kind of intense field arises, which no longer applies to the image, goes beyond it, becomes energy, air, space

This feeling arises when you look at painting. You see a dress with the finest laces, but you come closer and suddenly realize that these laces are a frantic play of a brush, on the tip of which there is a thinnest layer of paint. And the brush literally danced the finest lace. Something completely illusory is happening. Although illusion is not the right word here. Everything is on the degree of disappearance of reality and return to it.

If it were not for the terrible disease of materiality, which must be overcome, break through in order to come out to some purest light, the purest tone, when from all these spots, lines, from some radiation directed in one direction or another, from the condensation of particles in the end, to collect something that so strongly affects you and is inconceivable in its essence.

We often forget that in animation we are dealing with a hand-made image, literally from strokes and lines, a layer of ink and paints. We see the drawing, but we do not perceive it outside the fabric of the film, its air. Nevertheless, it is the drawings that are presented in the akhiva.

Drawing based on the fairy tale "Hedgehog in the Fog". Drawing with pastels and gouache paints for children 5-7 years old. Master class with step by step photo.

Hedgehog in the fog

Thirty gnats ran out into the clearing and played on their squeaky violins.
The moon came out from behind the clouds and, smiling, floated across the sky.
"Mmm-uh! .." - the cow across the river sighed. The dog barked, and forty moon hares ran along the path.
A fog rose over the river, and a sad White horse drowned in him up to his chest, and now it seemed that a large white duck was swimming in the fog and, snorting, lowered his head into it.
It was so beautiful that he shuddered from time to time: was he not dreaming of all this?
And the mosquitoes did not get tired of playing their violins, moon hares danced, and the dog howled.
"I'll tell you - they won't believe!" - Hedgehog thought, and began to look even more attentively in order to remember all the beauty to the last blade of grass.
“So the star has fallen,” he remarked, “and the grass leaned to the left, and only one peak remained from the tree, and now it floats next to the horse ... And interestingly,” thought the Hedgehog, “if the horse goes to sleep, it will drown in the fog ? "
And he began to slowly descend from the mountain in order to also get into the fog and see how it was inside.
- Here, - said the Hedgehog. - I can not see anything. And even the paw is not visible. Horse!
he called. But the horse said nothing.
"Where is the horse?" - thought the Hedgehog. And crawled straight. All around was dull, dark and wet, only high above the dusk glowed faintly.
He crawled for a long, long time and suddenly felt that there was no earth under him, and he was flying somewhere. Bulty! ..
"I'm in the river!" - Hedgehog realized, chilling with fear. And he began to beat with his paws in all directions.
When he surfaced, it was still dark, and the Hedgehog did not even know where the shore was.
"Let the river carry me by itself!" he decided.
He took a deep breath as he could, and he was carried downstream.
The river rustled with reeds, seethed on the rifts, and the Hedgehog felt that he was completely wet and would soon drown.
Suddenly, someone touched his hind paw.
“Sorry,” someone said silently, who are you and how did you get here?
- I am the Hedgehog, - the Hedgehog also silently answered. - I fell into the river.
“Then sit on my back,” someone said silently. “I’ll take you ashore.
The hedgehog sat on someone's narrow slippery back and a minute later was on the shore.
- Thanks! he said aloud.
- It's my pleasure! - someone silently uttered, whom the Hedgehog did not even see, and disappeared in the waves.
"That's the story ... - Hedgehog thought, dusting himself off. - Who
will believe ?! "
And hobbled in the fog.

Drawing a hedgehog is a favorite drawing topic for children. This funny and unusual animal attracts sympathy not only among children, many adults even keep hedgehogs at home. Probably not everyone knows that a hedgehog is a very useful animal for humans and can easily replace a cat. Where the hedgehog lives, there will never be mice. It is easy to tame, and just like a cat, a hedgehog loves milk.
Many cartoons have been filmed about hedgehogs, and the well-known cartoon "Hedgehog in the Fog" international competition animations for children. And in our country the cartoon "Hedgehog in the Fog" remains one of the favorites, for many years now.
Preparing food for the winter, the hedgehog pricks mushrooms and apples on its needles and transfers them in this way. A good subject for drawing a hedgehog.
How to draw a picture of a hedgehog, for example, to illustrate the cartoon "Hedgehog in the Fog" or a picture from the life of the forest, because it has so many needles? Let's try to do it together and perhaps the "step-by-step" lesson will seem quite easy for you.

Video how to draw a hedgehog in stages.

1. The initial contours of the drawing of a hedgehog

The initial contours of the hedgehog pattern consist of only two ovals. Draw these freeform paths. In the future, we will correct these lines and even delete some of them, therefore, making the initial sketch of the hedgehog, do not press hard on the pencil.

2. The muzzle and legs of the hedgehog

The second stage, perhaps, will be the most important in drawing a hedgehog. Try to draw the contour lines of the muzzle as accurately as possible, as well as draw the eye, nose and four legs. See how quickly and easily two ovals turn into drawing of a hedgehog!

3. How to draw the torso and ears

Finish drawing the contour lines of the hedgehog's head, turning them into a general outline of the body. It is not difficult to continue these lines, just circle them around the large oval, connecting them into one path, as shown in my drawing. Remove the extra lines from the drawing of the muzzle and draw two ears for it. Shade the nose and eyes with black. To make the hedgehog in the picture as alive, make a small highlight on the eye, or rather, leave a little white dot in the middle of the pupil.

4. Detailing the drawing of a hedgehog

At this stage, you need to clear the drawing of the hedgehog from the already unnecessary contour lines of the pencil. Erase them with the eraser carefully so as not to remove the desired paths. After that, proceed to more detailed drawing of the details of the picture of the hedgehog. Pay attention to the paws, ears and other "little things" in my drawing and draw them on yours. In fact, the hedgehog at this stage of the drawing will already be completely drawn. All that remains is to add shadows to the drawing and draw the surrounding landscape or a scene, if it is a frame from the cartoon "Hedgehog in the Fog".

5. How to draw needles

Perhaps I hurried a little and completely forgot about the needles. We need to draw many more needles. How to draw needles so that the hedgehog does not look like a porcupine? Do not draw them with "sticks", it is better to draw with a "herringbone", as in my drawing. And make a slight tilt to the right, as if slightly "smoothing" them. Only in the porcupine do the needles rise vertically in times of danger.

6. How to draw a hedgehog. The final stage

Now we can say that the drawing of the hedgehog is complete and you just have to tint it a little with a simple soft pencil or paint with colored pencils. The drawing of a hedgehog will look very good if you draw several chopped mushrooms or apples on the needles, draw grass and fallen leaves next to the hedgehog. If you are drawing a scene from the cartoon "Hedgehog in the Fog", draw other characters from this cartoon, and, of course, thick fog.

At first glance, it seems that drawing an apple is easy. except correct shape, you still need to be able to make a two-dimensional drawing of an apple three-dimensional.

We will perform the drawing of the mushroom in stages, at first with a simple pencil. In the last step, you can color the mushroom with paints or crayons.

Oddly enough it sounds, but the ant is the most powerful creature on the planet. Only an ant can drag prey to its anthill that exceeds its weight 300 times. If you need to draw a hedgehog or an ant for a biology lesson, I suggest you complete this task together.

In this lesson we will learn how to draw a spider in stages using a pencil. If you can confidently draw a hedgehog, then this lesson will be quite easy for you.

The snake inspires panic in many, since some snakes are very poisonous. But in fact, the snake is a common reptile that uses poison for self-defense. Some of them are not poisonous at all, for example. Just like the hedgehog, it benefits people. Firstly, the snake catches rodents, and secondly, its venom is used in medicine.

You always want to draw a picture of characters, a book you read about a frog traveler, or make a drawing of a hedgehog from the cartoon "Hedgehog in the Fog". Drawing for children with a simple pencil is best done in stages, first outlining only the general contours of the frog.

The bee drawing is good lesson for children who are fond of drawing, as it develops attentiveness and the ability to maintain proportions.
