DIY fishing box. Homemade fishing crates

As soon as winter comes around, the fisherman's heart squeezes in some incomprehensible sweet longing. What is the reason? It's simple: with the arrival of cold weather, someone will have to forget about fishing for three or four long months. But nothing can stop a real fisherman! Cold? You can buy winter clothes for fishing. How to pack the gear and place the catch somewhere? You can buy a box for ice fishing. But, sooner or later, sophisticated fishermen begin to dislike their old store box, because either a little fish fits there, or it cracks in the cold, or does not support the weight of the angler. In general, there are enough problems, so fishermen begin to think about how to make their own design, in which all the disadvantages of a store product would be taken into account and corrected.

You can also consider a backpack that can fit a lot all your gear, etc. In addition, seasoned fishermen say that a handmade box brings good luck and is never empty. Maybe, but you need to check everything on your own experience. The materials used for this are very diverse: from foam and ending with a canister. Of all the materials that can most often fall into the hands of a master fisherman, foam is most often found. This is probably why the box for winter fishing Styrofoam is so popular.

Styrofoam Ice Fishing Box

If you want to get a solid structure, then take polystyrene foam, it is much more stable than polystyrene, although it is just as light. We advise you to choose a sheet of this material with a thickness of 30 mm. About one box will take one and a half sheets, but then there will be a decent piece of expanded polystyrene hanging somewhere with some unnecessary trash, or you can buy 1 sheet more and make two at once with your neighbor (if he is also a fisherman). Like this fishing box for winter fishing with your own hands and not very expensive it will turn out, and it will also help to strengthen friendship with a neighbor.
It is most rational for him to choose the following parameters: height - 36 cm, length - 44 cm, and it is better to take a width of 21 cm.It is very convenient to cut out all the details with an ordinary sharp clerical knife according to a preliminary drawn drawing, glue them either with liquid nails or silicone. We glue the resulting structure with fiberglass, use epoxy. For greater strength and preservation of the temperature regime, it would be good not to regret this fiberglass and put it on the bottom and the lid in three layers, and two will be enough for the sides.

To prevent your drawer from opening at the most inopportune moment, buy normal constipation. And for the sake of completeness, take and cover your product with some kind of varnish, enamel. This is not only for beauty, but also so that your box will serve you as long as possible. And do not forget to insulate the seat so that it would be pleasant to sit on it for an hour, or two, or more. For this, foam rubber, leatherette is ideal.

Made of aluminum

We will not talk here for a long time, because it is better to see once than hear a hundred times. So the video will better show the question of how to make a box for winter fishing with your own hands.

Surely you have an old refrigerator somewhere in your garage, and you still can't get your hands on throwing it away. And this is good! Some spare part from there will be very useful to you. We take and simply turn off our frozen freezer, form something like a box, only without a bottom and a lid for now. You can use, but carefully, a hammer. Fill the joints with silicone. We cut out the bottom from aluminum, partitions can also be made from it. But the lid is better - made of plywood, and do not be greedy, remember that you will have to sit on the box for more than one hour. For softness, we take all the same foam rubber and leatherette.

From the canister

If there is nothing in your garage, because you are a too decent owner and throw away everything unnecessary at once, then you will certainly find an empty canister that you left in reserve. Ruthlessly cut off the top from the stored canister, sandpaper the edges or fasten the galvanized strips immediately with bolts, nuts or rivets. Attach the locks to the resulting contour. As for the seat, you already know what to do. Partitions are best made of plastic. Anything that, in your opinion, does not fit in the canister box, can be accommodated in the side outer plastic containers.
Are you still thinking?
Are you still wondering how to make a winter fishing crate? Let's summarize. It is best, as professionals advise, to make its frame from aluminum or something else strong enough, but pliable. Insulation, of course, should be done with foam (and what did fishermen do without it?). Inside, you need to make several sections so that fish and winter line, as well as other tackle and food, do not mix and do not lie in a common heap. It is also necessary to choose a suitable size so that everything that is required can fit, but in order to then raise such a box it would be possible. I would also like it to be comfortable to carry over the shoulders, and to sit comfortably without fear of freezing all important places, and it would be possible to carry it through the snow with a full section for fish.

Choose your homemade version, try your models, and let your catch can only be taken away on a sleigh!

We continue the heading of fishing tricks, homemade products for winter fishing:

Probably every newcomer to winter fishing is faced with the question: what to go fishing with, and so as not to look worse than their other fellow fishermen. We will not talk about equipment and various fishing rods, and the like, this is a different topic.

What I found turned out to be an old refrigerator of the Minsk Refrigerator Plant, moreover, it has not been working for a very long time, although everything that has been done in the former USSR has been working for a very long time and persistently.

To begin with, I cut off the pipe through which the freon went and riveted it. Otherwise, the freon would have escaped with an unpleasant odor. After that we remove the lower one, i.e. the back wall of the chamber is obtained (it can be easily removed by lightly tapping the mallet). Next, I took 10 mm plywood, pasted over with plastic on both sides (Fig. 3) (earlier it had a box from some old TV). Of course, it was possible to use ordinary plywood, having previously anointed it with linseed oil or NC varnish several times, but I had nowhere to put this one).

With a regular pencil, draw around the inner perimeter of the camera and cut it out with a jigsaw. In my case, the back wall of tin was not over the entire size of the chamber, and besides, there were holes in it, so I decided to cut a sheet with rounded corners from a sheet of aluminum exactly the same size as the plywood. And for better protection from water and aesthetics (no one has canceled it yet), I also cut and bent a standing seam from an aluminum plate along the length of the chamber, but did not rivet it (Fig. 14). After we have prepared the sawn plywood, sheet with rounded corners and folds, we begin to assemble our box. First, we lay the plywood, then we put the fold on one of the uncovered sides, our pre-cut aluminum sheet and the entire back side. But I want to warn you that we do not pinch and rivet the folds here, but leave them the same as they were, just push them tightly, and for persuasiveness, you can push them a couple of times harder with the help of light blows of the mallet.

After that, we take a marker or pencil, as you like, and mark the centers of the holes on the folds with the camera box around the perimeter. With a D = 3 mm drill, we drill holes according to pre-punched marks. I got 12 holes around the entire perimeter (Fig. 13). Here we can now fix, but not completely, our bottom of the box.

Now let's move on to the seat. Here I already took 10mm plywood, the dimensions withstood so that about 5-8 mm on each side would remain at the edges and 10mm wider than the width of the chamber itself, I sawed out the seat with right angles. This was foreseen in advance so that with the next finishing of the seat it would be more convenient and easier for us to do it, i.e. to lay paralon and cover with leatherette. Lubricate with linseed oil or varnish and let dry. On the side where we had a hole for the pipe, and in my case I made it back side of our box, according to previously purchased inexpensive curtains, mark the holes with a marker, punch and drill 4 holes (Fig. 10.11) (according to the number of holes on two curtains). After that, as we secured the curtains, we mark the centers of the holes on the plywood seat, and also drill the holes.

Here it could have stopped, bringing everything together, but the soul requires beauty and comfort. And I spontaneously, otherwise you cannot name it, came up with a bright idea to create a tray for a fishing rod (Fig. 4, 5, 9), because simply by throwing it into a box, we risk breaking it with our things we need for every fishing: a slotted spoon for removing ice from the hole, with a thermos (by the way, I fit it, thanks to the spacious chamber), etc.

And I could not think of anything better, from the same sheet of aluminum that I had left, I cut out a scan of the pencil case tray, and having drilled holes at the edges, screwed it with inside seats, having drilled holes in advance. Now let's start finishing the seat (Fig. 1.2). After some grandiose purchase of furniture, like any "plushkin", I still have a thin paralon, 1 cm thick. Having cut out 4 pieces of paralon according to the size of a plywood-seat, we put one on top of the other. Cutting off a piece of leatherette, on each side 4-6 centimeters more than plywood and cutting the holes under the curtains with a blade (Fig. 10), which are already permanently screwed to the seat, and lubricating the plywood with any rubber glue on the inside, carefully glue the leatherette on it ( of course it could be used to connect with a stapler).

Rubber glue adheres leatherette to plywood well. But if we try to sit on the seat, we will hear how the air comes out of it, and when we get up we hear how it comes back in. To eliminate this, you need to fix the corners and holes where the curtains are, carefully grease with glue and stick tightly, and the corners where the leatherette is docked are stitched with threads, also to reduce hiss. That's it, the seat is ready.

But we do not need such a wide box with one compartment, so we divide it with the remains of a piece of aluminum into 2 parts in a ratio of 2/3 (Fig. 3,11,17), having thought in advance that we have a tray on the seat and therefore a wall for we make the compartments a couple of centimeters lower from the tray, taking into account the fact that to attach the wall to the box it is necessary to leave 1-1.5 cm at the edges (Fig. 12), we bend these edges. And having drilled 2 holes on each side of the box and the wall, we fasten it.

To carry the box, we need a seat belt from any car (Fig. 1) or even a leather belt from an old raincoat (Fig. 16).

But in order to attach it to the box, we make 2 ears from millimeter duralumin (Fig. 7). In the boxes pre-drilled on both sides, we fasten them with bolts to the box itself. I want to note that my entire box is assembled on C grade bolts (the total number of bolts is about 30-36 pieces). So, in order to connect the belt and the ears, I needed 2 carabiners with wide slots for the belt. They can be taken from an old travel bag.

In general, it would be possible to stop at this, but on the ice I want to surprise my colleagues with something, and I came up with the idea to glue the entire body of the box with dark pink leatherette (Fig. 1). To do this, I took a large piece of leatherette and wrapped it around the box, cut it off, then manually, and then sewed it on a sewing machine (Fig. 2). And it turned out like a bottomless sack. Having detached the bottom of the box and greased the edges of the leatherette and the bottom of the box with rubber glue, glued everything, bending the edge of the leatherette inward and squeezing tightly (Figure 8.14), put the bottom back on and now finally connected everything with bolts (Figure 15).

I also removed the belt ears so that they would not interfere when I pulled up the leatherette, lubricated it in advance and squeezed it tightly for a couple of hours on the upper edge of the box. I squeezed it with ordinary paper clips, it could have been used with clothespins. After the glue has dried, screw on the ears and seat. As shown in the second version of the box (Fig. 16), you can draw or cut out the capital letters of the first and last name from the remaining piece of leatherette, there will be a personal box. In advance, until I collected the entire box, I smeared the bottom with a sealant from the inside along the inner perimeter.

DIY winter fishing box

Winter fishing requires a comfortable and roomy box. It contains fishing rods, boxes with lures and baits, a thermos with a hot drink, fish, a hook and other fishing accessories.

You can make a good fishing box with your own hands. In this article, we will take a closer look at the process of its manufacture. We will indicate what materials and tools are required for such work.

Step-by-step process of making a winter box with a photo

How to make a box with your own hands? We will make it out of wood with dimensions 45x39x23 cm. It will be closed with a lid-box with compartments inside. On top of the cover we attach a seat made of special filler, which we cover with soft dermontin. We will make the sides of the box from seven-layer plywood. On each side, we will fill the slats, and on the sides a timber with a width of 6 cm for reinforcement.

The result should be such a box.

Let's pay attention to the locks. They can be purchased at specialized stores. We will fasten the locks with strong screws, as shown in the photo.

The lid opens thanks to the following hinges:

We will fasten these hinges with screws. They will allow the lid to open completely. We will nail the oak runners to the bottom of the box.

We will make the runners from a bar with dimensions of 20x20 cm. We will fasten them with screws. The runners will allow you to drag the box across the ice. This is very convenient when you have to travel long distances. Another plus in them is that the bottom will not come into contact with snow and ice. Oak slats are very hard and do not practically absorb moisture, keep their shape well and do not rot.

Inside, the box looks like this:

We see that metal grooves are fixed on the sidewalls. We will fasten them with thin self-tapping screws. Plywood can be inserted into these grooves, and thus we get partitions. It is very comfortable. We will get three branches. One can hold fish, bait boxes and groundbait, and the other can hold bait boxes, a thermos and other accessories. In the small one you can place fishing rods. This is how we get the internal configuration of the box made by ourselves:

On one of the sidewalls, we will make a hole through which we will throw fish.

We will use the belt like this:

You can use a belt from an old bag that has already fallen into disrepair. We will attach it to the box using the following loop:

We tighten this element with three screws or self-tapping screws.

We attach 10 mm thick polyethylene foam insulation to the cover using waterproof glue. It is moisture resistant and soft enough.

On top of the insulation, we carry out cladding from dermantin:

We will make the dermantine coating in this way:

This cover can be stapled to the sides of the drawer using a construction gun. The result is a reliable design.

We cover the resulting fishing box with our own hands with waterproof varnish in two layers. Parquet varnish can be used. We make sure that all elements and sidewalls are neatly missed.

V open form the box looks like this:

We will make the lid in the form of a box with a height of 6 cm. Additional compartments can be made inside it. To do this, we will also make grooves into which plywood is inserted. We attach the plywood on top in such a way that the sashes are obtained. We attach special clamps on the sides, and on top we fasten the handles with self-tapping screws. The result will be approximately the same design as in the bedside tables. To open the sash, pull the handle. These compartments can be used to store items of fishing equipment.

As you can see, we have got a completely functional and roomy drawer. Now we know how to make a fishing box for winter fishing with our own hands.

Conclusion on the winter fishing box

This box will serve you for more than one season. An inspection must be done at the end of each season. If necessary, the box should be varnished again. Such actions will significantly prolong his life.

You can recognize a fisherman in winter by a special box (chaise). Often, such a case hangs on a belt during transitions or serves as a seat. Although the functionality of this piece of equipment is much richer. This is a storehouse for supplies, a storage for tackle, and a place for a catch. There are many varieties of such a product in stores. However, sometimes it is more convenient and more interesting to make a fishing box for winter fishing with your own hands.

Work plan

Before starting the assembly, you need to think over everything well. In order not to forget anything, it is better to make a drawing of the future box. Not everyone was friends at school with drawing and geometry, and it was, perhaps, a long time ago. However, the simplest option is required here. The main thing is to note the main things for yourself:

  • Exact dimensions;
  • Form;
  • Some details - more details.

Any convenient option can be used to complete the scheme. Common ones include:

When everything is more or less clear with the design, you need to think over the assembly order. This will save time and effort.

Material selection

As in other homemade products, you can give free rein to imagination. Anything can be used as a material. The only requirement is suitability for physical indicators... It is desirable that the material be as strong and lightweight as possible.

A homemade ice fishing box made of metals is more difficult to make. It will take skills and a lot of tools. The more common option is wood. Any breed will do. It is important to remember that you will have to carry this box on yourself. Therefore, for example, oak products are made infrequently. They are heavy. The same is with chipboard.

A good option is pine. It is advisable to take boards without knots. It is problematic to hammer nails in them.

Suitable tools

It is worth taking care of the place in advance. For example, you will most likely have to work with glue, varnish. You will need to set up the table, cover it with papers, oilcloth. To make a fishing box with your own hands, you need a set of tools:

  • Hammer;
  • Nails, screws, rivets;
  • Pliers;
  • Screwdrivers;
  • Ruler;
  • Level, etc.

It is important not to forget about safety precautions. For example, gloves and a respirator may sometimes be needed.

Assembling the product

After completing the drawings and preparing the material, you can start working. Making a good and exclusive item is often easy. The main thing is not to deviate from your drawing, plan and not to rush.

Box made of wood

If you choose wood materials, the assembly will have its own characteristics. The procedure is approximately as follows:

Foam option

You can make a fishing box out of Styrofoam. Such a product has the following advantages:

  • very light;
  • warm, which is important if you sit on it.

For the product, you will need foam with a thickness of 30 mm or more. If polystyrene is taken, then 20 mm is enough. Such a box for do-it-yourself fishing is simple:

  1. General drawing is in progress. Plus each element, for example, bottom, partitions, etc. - separately.
  2. Elements are cut to size.
  3. The parts are connected to each other in order using liquid nails.
  4. Along the edges there is an aluminum corner. Rivets are used.
  5. A piece of plywood is included in the construction of the cover. The size is the same. This is necessary for reinforcement, since foam is not the most durable material.
  6. The lid is attached to the main body with piano hinges.
  7. Straps for fishing rods are attached to the lid, and loops for portable straps are attached to the sides of the box.
  8. A latch is made.
  9. The bowl is covered with a moisture protection agent.

This fishing box is the lightest of all. However, it is not particularly durable. The design takes this into account: for example, the partition simultaneously acts as a stiffener.

Plywood product

You can make a plywood fishing box for ice fishing. The order is the same as when assembling a foam plastic, but there are features:

  1. Fasteners - screws.
  2. There is an advantage here: you can make a tackle container like a factory one.
  3. The plywood cover is additionally insulated. You can use the same styrofoam.
  4. After installation, you will need grinding. This is to protect against splinters.

Impregnation against moisture is also applied here. The disadvantage of such a product is heavy weight... This makes him "related" to the wooden model. Both of these options are very solid though.

Using the canister

Sometimes plastic is taken for the fishing box. A convenient blank is a regular canister. The order of work is as follows:

  1. The top of the canister is cut neatly.
  2. The resulting edges are first processed with sandpaper.
  3. Then a metal tape is "put on" them. Fastened with rivets.
  4. A partition is installed inside. It can be made, for example, from plywood or plastic.
  5. A cover is cut out of plywood. She is immediately insulated, for example, with leatherette and foam rubber.
  6. The lid is attached to the former canister with piano hinges.
  7. A latch is made.

Freezer

A well-known version of the fishing box is from the freezer. It has been popular since Soviet times, when people did a lot with their own hands, often using ingenuity and ingenuity.

Such devices have many advantages. The benefits include:

  • High strength;
  • Light weight;
  • Long service life.

Many copies of the "Soviet assembly" are still in use. For some experienced fishermen, such a box is a "trusted friend". Although collecting another one is not difficult at all:

  1. The camera is taken out of the old refrigerator.
  2. All unnecessary things are removed: plastic, tubes, etc.
  3. The bottom of the future fishing box is made of galvanized iron or plywood. It is fastened with rivets or self-tapping screws, respectively.
  4. The cover is made of plywood. It needs to be insulated.
  5. Further inside, a partition is inserted: plywood - on self-tapping screws, metal - on rivets.
  6. There will be loops on the side. They are fastened with rivets.
  7. If the bottom is plywood, it is coated with a waterproof compound.
  8. Install the lock.

Computer case

The modern version of the winter box assembly includes a computer case. Today, finding an old, unnecessary system unit is not a problem.

It will take two cases. One of them is the main one, the second is for spare parts. The installation of the box is carried out as follows:

  1. Sidewalls and a partition are cut from the second body. Bend at right angles.
  2. Holes are made in the sides and the main part of the fishing box.
  3. Everything is going to rivets.
  4. The cover is cut from plywood. It is insulated in the same way as the previous models of the box.
  5. The cover is attached with hinges.
  6. Loops are attached under the shoulder strap.
  7. The latch is installed.

There are other features of the box equipment. Here you need to proceed from your capabilities, materials and requests. All this is at the discretion of the fisherman, for example:

  • Additional compartments;
  • Skids for moving "on their own";
  • Case.

There is no shortage of fishing crates in stores. You can find options at any price. However, many people want to do a thing with their own hands. Perhaps this is the same sporting interest that leads people to go fishing. Although homemade products usually meet individual wishes and are very popular with their "creators". Often, fishermen do not part with them in any season of the year.

A lover of winter fishing can be identified by a special box called a fishing one. As a rule, the fisherman drags him on himself, throwing the belt over his shoulder. This is a versatile item that no fishing trip can do without. It performs several functions at once. Firstly, it is a box where you can put some of the fishing equipment, especially since there are not many of them. Secondly, this is a container where the angler puts the caught fish. Thirdly, it is a comfortable winter chair, which makes winter fishing more comfortable. Naturally, you can buy a box in a store, but you can do it yourself, especially since it's not difficult.

To make a box yourself, you should follow these steps:

  1. Carry out preliminary "sketches" on paper to determine its appearance, its design and material of manufacture.
  2. At this stage, it is better to make a drawing, otherwise the item will be difficult to manufacture without knowing its actual dimensions.
  3. Development of the stages of its manufacture in order to determine the sequence of assembly operations.
  4. Assembling the box and checking it for quality, as well as for compliance with the stated dimensions and appearance.

Almost everyone took school courses in descriptive geometry, therefore, we can safely say that even a schoolchild can draw a drawing, especially since a drawing of a box is a drawing of a rather primitive object.

The task of creating a drawing is so that during the manufacture of the product it is visible which parts, what shape and size they have. In addition, the drawing indicates which parts are connected to which and in what sequence. As a result, you should get what is drawn and nothing else. Without blueprints, it will be much more difficult if there is no spatial thinking and exceptional memory. Not every person will be able to draw a fishing box in memory, and then “extract” everything from the same memory piece by piece, and then make similar pieces in reality.

There are three options for the execution of the working drawing:

  1. On the computer. Nowadays, a computer can be found in any family, so drawing a drawing is not difficult. If not personal experience handling a computer, you can ask for help from family members, especially children school age... It is enough to install the appropriate program on the computer and the drawing will not be long in coming. The only thing left is to print it on the printer. This is the easiest way to make high-quality drawings, where everything will be absolutely clear.
  2. Draw on graph paper. This is also a simple option, but in this case you need to have personal drawing skills. Millimeter paper allows you to effortlessly calculate everything down to a millimeter, that is, to determine the height, length and width. Drawings on graph paper also turn out to be of high quality and visual.
  3. Plain primitive sketch on plain paper or on paper in a box, which is from a student's notebook. As a rule, a sketch does not differ in quality and beauty, but the main data on it are present in mandatory: length, height and width.

Selection of material

A fishing box can be made from any material available, including wooden planks. The main thing is that it is strong and lightweight. Not everyone can make of metal, and more serious tools will be needed.

The type of wood does not play a special role, but no one will make a box out of oak, since it will turn out, although strong, but a rather heavy product. The box will turn out to be heavy if it is made of chipboard. In addition, it is difficult to hammer nails into the chipboard. The most suitable material is pine. But here it is very important to choose such boards so that there are no knots. In places where there are knots, it is also difficult to hammer in nails.

Required tools

To work you will need the following tools:

  • For a start, it's better to decide on a place to work. You may need a table, which will have to be covered with oilcloth or paper, since glue and varnish will be used in the process.
  • Here you should stock up on a screwdriver, a hammer, pliers, a ruler, nails, as well as a level that will help you make the box correctly.
  • Personal protective equipment, such as a respirator and gloves, will not be superfluous.

If everything is prepared, then you can safely start making a fishing box.

Step-by-step assembly instructions

The assembly of the box begins when all the necessary parts are prepared.

  • They start with the assembly of the frame. For more quality and strength, you can use glue and nails, although you can get by with one thing. They do it as follows: the boards are coated with glue, after which they are knocked down with nails. Nails act as a press, which will allow you to get a high-quality adhesive bond. After the frame is assembled, proceed to fixing the cover. The design of the cover should be thought out even at the stage of design and drawing of drawings.
  • The cover can be removable or hinged. In any case, you will have to make sure that the lid fits tightly. It can be upholstered from the inside with a cloth. To keep the lid firmly on the box, you need to come up with a special latch, which, when closed, could pull the lid tightly to the frame.
  • Some anglers use a box instead of a chair, so the top of the lid is padded with durable material (leather) along with insulation.

After that, they begin to divide the inside of the box into a compartment for fish and tackle. The following option is possible: the tackle section is equipped on the lid. It turns out, as it were, one box in another, like a nesting doll.

In conclusion, they begin to refine the box. Since it is made of wood, it must be covered with a water-repellent varnish, otherwise the wood will instantly absorb moisture. In addition, the wood also absorbs odors. If it is not covered with varnish, then the box will always smell like fish.

In this regard, it should be said that both external and interior box. At the same time, you need to make sure that there are no gaps. The product is covered at least 2 times. The selected varnish is not smelly, otherwise the fish will always give off the aroma of the varnish surface.

Secrets of quality work

Most people are sure that whoever does exclusive things knows some secret. Making a good, quality fishing box is pretty simple and you don't have to know any secrets. The secret is to carry out the work strictly according to the plan and strictly according to the drawings, where all dimensions are clearly indicated. If the product does not work, then most likely there is an error somewhere in the drawings.

Buying a crate at a fishing store

To make a fishing box yourself, it is not enough to have wooden blanks and tools, you need to have a desire, your own interest and a certain level of imagination. Most anglers do this because it is fun. In addition, it saves money for the family budget, where funds are not always left for a fishing box, which is so necessary.

But there is another category of anglers who are not interested in sawing, planing and hammering in nails, and subsequently inhaling the scent of water-repellent varnish. In addition, they always have additional funds to purchase it from a fishing store. Therefore, they just go to the store and buy, especially since the stores have a choice. Here you can buy fishing boxes from the PLANO company, at a price of 3 thousand to 20 thousand rubles, as well as boxes from Nautilus. In addition to them, you can buy products of the manufacturer Flambeau here.

In other words, crates can be purchased at any price in fishing shops, so we can say that they are available for all categories of anglers.
