On June 24, for the third time, traditionally, within the framework of International Festival aeronautics "Heavenly Fair -2017" Palace of Culture "Dream" held a race of radio-controlled cars "Formula Dream" for amateurs and fans of car modeling sports. For those who like to get a boost of energy from speed, and, moreover, without any risk.

Radio-controlled car models are one of the most popular toys for boys. After all, it will not be very soon that they will have their own, real cars, and I really want to plunge into this world. This is where miniature copies of real cars come to the rescue. And everyone could try the radio-controlled adrenaline without any problems!
This year's races have collected record number participants. The most numerous category was 5-9 years old. The boys took the route very seriously, tried to pass it clearly, without mistakes, and many succeeded. One participant, Alena Chepurova, did not lag behind them. Speed ​​and drive are what a real rider needs and these qualities were found in all our participants.

For the second year in a row, the glorious village of Agalatovo near St. Petersburg is hosting the national championship. This year there are not so many participants, but nevertheless 57 people are registered. Competitions will be held in three days from February 27 to March 1.

The configuration of the track does not differ from last year's. Added fences, changed the color of the markup. The video is broadcasted on two screens, in the hall and in the boxes. Improved audio streaming. Wi-Fi network started.

On Friday, the members of the SPbKAM club jointly prepared the track for the race. The carpet rolls are glued to the floor on a double-sided tape - no more accidental slipping on the scotch tape, the ride is very pleasant.

Drivers from Tyumen, Yekaterinburg (Samoilenko, Zolotavin, Piskunov), Moscow (Lopukhin) and Elektrostal (Nedryanko) arrived for free training. Unfortunately, at the last moment, Ilya Shupik's trip failed. The pilots all had several hours to get used to the track and select the basic settings.

Artem Lopukhin immediately "took the bull by the horns" and after 3 batteries showed a lap of 11.5 s. This is practically a record level for athletes from St. Petersburg, for whom the track is home.

Unfortunately, it is not yet possible to post photos and videos. I hope I can do it on Saturday and Sunday.

So, everything is ready for the next Russian championship. The key to start!

The "main withdrawal forces of Moscow" pulled themselves up. The opening ceremony with a general formation took place. According to the schedule, 2 training sessions and 4 qualifications were planned for Saturday.

Three teams take part in the team competition: Moscow, St. Petersburg and Tyumen. In classes DTM-10, pairs of leaders immediately stood out. In the first case it is Laptev-Lopukhin, in the second Trofimov-Egorov.

In general, the atmosphere at the competition is very calm and friendly. There are no major deviations from the schedule, everything is clear and according to plan. Lunch at a local canteen was a pleasant surprise =)

Perhaps it was this fact that confused Laptev. Ivan made a mistake, Anatoly is in the lead, but he immediately makes a mistake and lets Ivan back. Ivan starts to drive off, but is mistaken again. The second final began with a clash between Yegorov and Naumov in the fight for 5th place. The four leaders gradually stretched out, but suddenly Trofimov, as in the first final, began to actively press on Karpov. The outcome of this confrontation was decided by a collision with a circular one, which Kirill miraculously escaped and slipped past. Vitaly, trying to catch up with his opponent, made a mistake in turning to a straight line. Meanwhile, Lopukhin, turning over on a pancake, released Laptev even further. The finish. The first three immediately went into the lead. In the fight, Yegorov knocked Naumov out to the opposite part of the track, right onto the trajectory in the fastest section of the track. Ivan Laptev was unlucky - he flew into Alexander's model at full speed and broke the suspension. Vitaly Karpov did not let Artyom go, but behind was a "showdown" for the third position. Kirill Trofimov emerged victorious from it and began to drive off quickly. At the fourth minute, the careless marshal "substitutes" for Artyom's model, a terrible blow to the leg. Artem still manages to keep the lead, but Vitaly is already "breathing in his back" and longs for the final second place. Artem makes mistakes after the diagonal, Vitaly takes the lead! There is a tight fight, contact. Lopukhin buries himself in the rail, Karpov manages to continue moving. 30 seconds to finish. Karpov makes a mistake and turns over. Artyom rushes past, and then Kirill Trofimov is right there! An attempt to overtake, contact and Kirill remains "in the rail". And so this finale ended.
