- Four years ago, we created a regional hockey federation with the task of developing the hockey vertical - the Golden Puck, the Youth Sports School, the youth team. In the first "Golden Puck" in 2011, there could be no talk of any municipal stage, since everything was done on a tight schedule.
In 2012, the federation and the authorities released the situation a little out of control - and the level of organization of the Golden Puck tournament and preparation for the competition dropped somewhat. Then all the resources were reoriented to the creation of a youth team in Belgorod, so the approach to organizing the Golden Puck tournament was different. And last season, Alexander Pashkov became the head of the federation, and a new task was to reach a new level in the organization of children's hockey. Last year, the winners and the best players of the matches were presented with tablets and figurines. This season, a different approach - the guys receive certificates for purchase in a sports store for a good amount and the best players in nominations - by tablet. About MHL
- Does the replenishment for the hockey club Belgorod, playing in the championship of the youth league (MHL), come from the local Zolotoy Puck?
- Older children still have two or three years to grow up. There are players who can reach the youth team after a while. For gold players and children from the Youth Sports School, the MHL hockey players are professionals. They already have contracts and a full-fledged championship. A completely different level. This year HC "Belgorod" played in the Central Federal District competitions among hockey players born in 1999-2001. That is, some of the gold players can play there next season. In general, in our sports school there is only one guy on the way to the youth team. The bad news is that there are few teams and tournaments in the "Center" region, the guys have nowhere to grow up there. And only from this year, the renewed MKTsH "Center" began to hold tournaments. We hope that the skill of their participants will grow.
But in order for the children to grow up, they need to play, and we have about 15 official matches per season, this is very little. And so throughout the Chernozem region. Many are content with commercial tournaments.
- Is it that bad?
- Children graduate from hockey or go to amateur teams after sports schools for one reason - there is no prospect. They understand that there is nowhere else to play. Only Tambov, Bryansk, Belgorod and Lipetsk have teams left in the center of Russia. But only in Voronezh there is a full-fledged club with a structure from the youngest set of guys to the Higher League. There, 200 people come to the recruitment.
- And how are we?
- And if 40-50 people come here, then it's already good. Coaches go to schools, children gather. In a year, 20-25 people remain. There is no one to choose from for the main team of the region.

- The championship of the region was organized. We have assembled teams born in 2005-2006 - nine teams played this year. Russian defender Alexander Sazonov was born on November 29, 1980 in Omsk. First adult steps

Chelyabinsk fairy tale
Alexander Sazonov, whose biography is primarily associated with the Chelyabinsk "Tractor", was in his main team in his career in 2002. At that time, the “bears” played in the Higher League of the Russian Championship, and the arrival of a young and very ambitious defender came to their advantage. In the first season, Alexander Sazonov established himself in front of the head coach, having played his first 30 matches for “Traktor”, and every year he added in his game, increasing not only the amount of playing time, but also his effectiveness.
As a result, after 4 seasons, the Chelyabinsk team was able to break into the Super League of the Russian Championship, becoming the champion of the Major League in 2006, when it was Sazonov who made a significant contribution to the success, with 13 points. Alexander and his wife Elena, her sister and husband first rented a plot. And then they bought it. The house is small, but solid. The bathhouse is spacious. The Seagull Garden, where Sazonov grows as a gardener, became famous in the Soviet years for having its own cinema, where popular films were shown in the evenings. The townspeople even specially came to "The Seagull" for film screenings.

Hockey players have a short vacation. A couple of summer months - and again training, tournaments, championships. At the end of July, the first training camp will begin. There will be no time for the garden. Therefore, Alexander tries to rest to the maximum.

It was necessary to play somewhere, but in Chelyabinsk it was real. He was constantly in the squad, got a lot of playing practice. And I liked the team - the team was good.
Have you come to the coach you already know, Nikolai Makarov?
Yes, I played under his leadership in Mechel, which played in the Super League. But this only lasted for about a month, while I was being rented out by Omsk Avangard. A season earlier, I also played on loan at the Saratov "Kristall". And I didn’t come to Traktor as a rented one.
Which season was the most difficult?
In Traktor, in my opinion, all seasons are difficult - there are no easy ones. All the time we have to catch up, catch up ... Maybe the only exception was the season when we entered the Super League. Then the team was good - almost all of the local students. But in the playoffs, too, I had to "hack to death" with everyone. There were a lot of people who wanted to get upstairs, everyone was "biting".
Which championship was the most successful for you?
It is not clear what it is: constantly ups and downs. As a rule, when a new coach arrives, they give me little to play. Then you find yourself in confidence and do not climb out of the platform.

In the Omsk sports school-22 at V. Zykov. They took me to Avangard later. I know that Viktor Aleksandrovich is still working with children at Avangard.

When I was taken under the main team, it was still led by Leonid Kiselev. Then Vladimir Golubovich came, and then Gennady Tsygurov. I played a little under his guidance even before our meeting at the "Traktor". I was paired with Igor Nikitin, who is now the coach of Avangard.

In the 2003/2004 season in the Chelyabinsk Tractor, Sazonov played with Vladimir Krechin (now the director of the HC), Evgeny Tsybuk (now the general manager of the club), Sergey Tertyshny (now one of the team's coaches). Gusmanov was also on the team - though not Ravil, but his brother. But Alexander Sazonov played with the current assistant of V. Belousov when he returned from Magnitogorsk to his native club. No. Coaches are not soft people. There are no such things and should not be. Anyone will be strict and demanding because they want to achieve what they think is proven. And the team adjusts to these requirements.
Gennady Tsygurov - Too Tough?
(pause) I don't know. Maybe when you just start working with him, you consider it tough. But you get used to it, you get involved - and everything is fine.
Has the training process changed greatly under Valeria Belousov?
It depends on what to compare with ... The emphasis is on keeping the puck in the wrong zone, loading the defenders, attacking, attacking ...
