From the first day of its foundation, the central stadium "Dynamo" has been the sports Mecca of our state. Reviving the greatness of the stadium, returning it to its former glory and thousands of regular spectators are the primary tasks of the project.
The central stadium "Dynamo", which is part of the general ensemble "VTB Arena Park", will unite two objects under one roof: a small and a large sports arenas, as well as a leisure and entertainment complex designed for an interesting pastime before or after sports events. The new complex will become a place where entertainment is the main criterion for what is happening.
In 2010, the management of the VTB Arena Park project invited the leading specialized bureau Manica Architecture, represented by its founder and renowned architect David Manika, to elaborate the concept of the project in order to improve the functionality of the building, as well as ensure the manufacturability of its construction, in order to ultimately obtain a unique our country is a sports and entertainment complex. Among the projects implemented by Manica Architecture are such interesting structures as the stadium in the capital of Qatar, Doha, the Mercedes-Benz Arena in Shanghai, the Olympic basketball hall in Beijing and the stunning O2 Arena in London.

If you look at structures already created around the world and constructed buildings, you will not find a single object exactly like this one. Bringing together a large sports stadium and a multifunctional arena that "hover" above the shopping and entertainment center and the preserved historic stadium wall, this project is undoubtedly a new benchmark for similar development projects around the world. VTB Arena Park will be a place that city residents and visitors to the capital will be able to enjoy throughout the year and for many decades. " During construction, the main contractor changed, but, despite this, the work did not stop for a single day.
The project uses revolutionary ideas, new materials and technologies. On the southern facade, overlooking Leningradsky Prospekt and the Dynamo metro station, there will be a huge glass wall with LED strips built into it, allowing the glass to turn into a giant screen at night.
The total capacity of the Dynamo Central Stadium will be 25,716 seats, and the small sports arena, being built under the same roof as the football one, has 3 configurations: hockey, basketball and concert. The capacity of the multifunctional arena is from 12 273 human, but can transform depending on the event in a matter of hours. The maximum occupancy is 14 000 seats. In terms of technical equipment, it will be the most modern concert venue in Moscow. The working group of the project studied all the known technical "riders" of modern world shows, which today are difficult to implement in the conditions of Moscow stadiums and, taking into account the international experience studied, formulated the appropriate technical requirements for the reconstruction of the stadium.

Reconstruction of the Dynamo stadium is one of the largest projects in the north of Moscow. Back in 1928, when the stadium was built, this area was, in fact, the outskirts. And now it is considered quite a center.
VTB Arena Park is a complex development project of the territory, which includes the construction of a multipurpose sports and entertainment complex (VTB Arena and the Dynamo Central Stadium), the Dynamo Sports Academy, the Arena Park city quarter, and a sports park "Dynamo". The area of the project being implemented is about 32 hectares.
On the day of shooting, the weather was completely bad for the drone, and the scale of the construction of such an object is difficult to assess from the ground. So after a couple of days, when the sun came out, I returned to the stadium and filmed it from the air.
As I said, the stadium was built in 1928 and since then has been completed several times and reconstructed twice. The stadium underwent a major reconstruction on the eve of the 1980 Olympics, the last one before closing - on the eve of the World Youth Games in 1998. Today Dynamo is going through the largest reconstruction in its history, the scale and tasks this time are much more serious and impressive.
And if in the past renovations they cared little about the preservation of the historical heritage (in the process of researching the former structures of the stands, remakes and traces of rebuilding of structures were constantly found), now the task is to preserve the historical western wall of the stadium, which has been granted the status of an architectural monument since 1987. Also, special attention will be paid to the restoration of the bas-reliefs of the outstanding Soviet sculptor Sergei Merkurov, which for more than 80 years adorned the northern and southern porticos of the stands.
The rest of the facades will be restored based on the results of measurements and a comprehensive study.
Now let's go to the object and see what happens there.
1. The last match at the stadium was played in November 2008, when the dismantling of concrete structures began. VTB entered the project only in 2010. At first, there was a very long period of approvals, transfer of communications, dismantling of the stadium and its foundation.
2. The project is the owner of a large number of various prestigious awards in different nominations.

Initially, it was assumed that the new Dynamo stadium will be included in the application book for hosting matches of the 2018 World Cup, but this did not happen, and its capacity was reduced from the planned 45 to the final 27 thousand spectators. 5. The football field itself is now raised 8 meters above the ground. Previously, it was "sunk" by about half a meter.
