Manchester city

Kevin De Bruyne is a young talented Belgian footballer who was born in Ghent on 28 June 1991. He is currently an attacking midfielder for Manchester City FC and of course his own national team. Despite his rather young age, the footballer has already changed five clubs. Well, it is worth telling more about his career and professional growth, as this topic is really interesting.

The beginning of a football career

As already mentioned, Kevin De Bruyne was born in Ghent. Therefore, it is not surprising that his first team was the club of the same name in this city. In 2003, the young man started playing football there. However, some time later, in 2005, he moved to the Genk club. There the guy started playing for the youth team.

In this club, Kevin De Bruyne spent quite a long time. It was in this team that he studied football and improved the acquired skills. And the training paid off. For example, in the 2010/2011 season he scored five goals in 32 matches, thereby helping his club - “Gent” then became the champion of Belgium, for the third time in history.

Transfer to Chelsea and loan to Werder Bremen

In 2012, it became known that Kevin De Bruyne, whose photo is presented above, is moving to London “Chelsea”. The Belgian signed a contract for five and a half years. He made his debut in a friendly against Seattle Sounders. But things didn't go quite the way the midfielder apparently assumed. Because at the end of that season, he said that if he was not allowed to practice at Chelsea, he would go on loan. Kevin De Bruyne believes that the most important thing for a player is to play for the team. Practice is very important, and you can't do without it.

A few days after this statement, representatives of the Belgian “Werder Bremen” showed interest in the young man. The Germans managed to negotiate with Chelsea, and they rented a Belgian. So the midfielder spent the 2012/2013 season in Germany. Kevin De Bruyne cost the Germans 1,300,000 euros. The debut of the Belgian took place in the match against Borussia Dortmund. Unfortunately, the “Bremen Town Musicians” lost to the “bees”, but Kevin spent the entire match on the field, from start to finish. And he scored the first goal in the game against Hannover, rescuing his team and leveling the score. The Belgian sent the next ball into the gates of “Stuttgart”, thereby opening the account. But the team was constantly losing, so on September 25, the midfielder said that “Bremen” simply will not have a chance to buy it back after the end of the lease.

Wolfsburg and Manchester City

Kevin De Bruyne, whose biography is quite interesting, although he returned to Chelsea, but could not stay there. And again he had to go to Germany, as Wolfsburg had already bought him. The Germans gave 22 million euros for the midfielder. Kevin signed a contract until 2019. As part of this team, the Belgian instantly took the leading position, and in the 2014/2015 season he became the best assistant in the Bundesliga. And all thanks to 21 assists. On May 30, he completely sent the winning goal to the gates of Dortmund “Borussia”, thereby finishing off the opponents and winning the German Cup final.

But until 2019, the football player did not stay at Wolfsburg, because Manchester City became interested in him, which gave the Germans 70 million euros for the Belgian. So on September 19, 2015, Kevin entered the field in a different shirt and, by the way, scored his debut goal, scoring West Ham.

Personal life and achievements

Kevin is the champion of Belgium, the owner of the Cup and Super Cup of the country, as well as one of the most expensive young footballers. Also, in addition to the above, he achieved some success with “Wolfsburg”. Together with the German club, he won the Super Cup and the German Cup. But that's not all. He is also the best young player in the Bundesliga in 2013 and footballer in 2015 in Germany.

And finally, a few more words about the topic concerning such a football player as Kevin De Bruyne. His personal life also interests many, and especially the devoted fans of the Belgian striker. The young man met for a long time with a girl named Caroline Lainen. But he broke up after she cheated on him with the Maid says that Kevin allegedly cheated on her himself (about which there is no official data), so she committed this completely immoral and dishonorable act out of revenge while on vacation in Madrid. At the moment, the Belgian is free and seems to be happy with his position.

Kevin De Bruyne is a player football club Manchester City and one of the key players in the Belgian national team.

Kevin began his career in the youth team of the Dronien team, for which he played from 1997 to 1999. Then he played for the youth teams of Genta and Genka (from 2005 to 2008).

My professional career the player started in the Genk team, for which he played from 2008 to 2012.

During this time, he managed to show himself as good player with an excellent mood for the game. In total, in a Genka shirt, he played 78 matches and scored 14 goals.

Soon he returned to Genk, played there for a while, and then ended up in Germany and started playing for Werder Bremen.

For the Germans, Kevin played more successfully and scored 10 goals for the club, and then moved to Wolfsburg, in whose jersey he played in the 2014/2015 season.

He scored his first goal for this club in 2016 against the French PSG, and in the quarterfinals of the main international championship Starovgo Sveta is in the Champions League.

In the shirt of the Belgian national team, De Bruyne made his debut back in 2010 in a friendly against the Finns.

And in 2014 at the FIFA World Cup in Brazil, he managed to score a goal and showed himself excellently, becoming one of the key players in the national team.

How he lived before he became famous

Kevin grew up in the city of Ghent (Flanders) in an ordinary Belgian family. His father worked in a metallurgical plant, and his mother was from Africa.

One Christmas time future star Belgian and world football were presented with the ball. It was this event that became a turning point for the boy, who decided to seriously engage in this game and become a real master.

His choice was largely predetermined by the city where Kevin grew up, since Ghent is considered one of the most football cities in Belgium.

What is known for

De Bruyne is known for his extraordinary play and incredible passing technique. She has a great view of the pitch and is good at building the game, thanks to which he manages to cope well with almost any situation during the match.

Already in 2015 he was recognized the best footballer Belgium, and very soon Kevin was already playing in famous European clubs.

He is also the owner of the Super Cup, not only in Belgium (2011), but also in Germany (2015).

He also won the championship of his home country in the 2010/2011 season and was also the champion of England in the 2017/2018 season, and this is not the whole list of the player's merits and trophies.

The midfielder perfectly plays the role of an assistant on the floor, and also copes well with completing the attack (more than once his actions led to the scoring of the opponent's goal).

He wrote an autobiography which he called “Keep it Simple”. She was released in 2014.

Relationship / family

Back in 2014, he began an affair with Michelle Lacroix, who was engaged in athletics, but then I decided to devote myself family life and married Kevin.

Very soon, the girl gave birth to his child, whom the couple named Mason.

And in 2017, the couple officially signed, and they also chose the place for the wedding very well - the Italian city of Sorrento.

At the end of the last century, when the “red devils” won the Champions League trophy in an epic battle, the team from Manchester featured an interesting striker with a hard-to-pronounce surname Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. First of all, it was an ideal "joker", that is, a football player who could enter the field from the bench and, as they say, make a game. The second feature of the striker is very revealingly described by his nickname - "killer with the face of a baby." Already at an advanced age, by football standards, Ole had features similar to those of a child and, at the same time, scored a lot.

Belgian midfielder Kevin de Bruyne is also often jokingly compared to a child by teammates and fans, while the latter terrifies the redoubts of opposing teams. Another interesting parallel to the Norwegian striker comparison is that Kevin also flourished in Manchester, but only in City.

Kevin de Bruyne: biography

Little Kevin's life began in one of the most football cities in Belgium - Ghent. He was born in June 1991, and after only a few years he was running with a ball on sports grounds under the guidance of a children's coach. The guy preferred football to many other sports and very quickly began to stand out from his peers. For eight years, Kevin managed to play in the youth teams "Dronien", "Gent" and "Genk", and with the latter in 2008 he signed his first professional contract.

A creative midfielder with a good vision of the pitch and excellent passing technique already at a young age achieved serious success. Perseverance and work helped him move to London Chelsea, and then, in transit through German Werder Bremen and Wolfsburg, to the camp of another leader English football- "Manchester city".

However, Kevin de Bruyne excelled not only in sports. In 2014, the footballer published an autobiographical book with the self-explanatory title "Be Simple", which characterizes the player in the best possible way. He is recognized on the streets, he gets autographs, he is a star, he is the future of Belgian football, he is Kevin de Bruyne.

The personal life of a football player, however, is a topic, if not closed, then as private as possible. It is only known that the midfielder is in a relationship with a girl named Michelle Lacroix and in 2016 the couple had their first child, Mason.

Career takeoff

The first top club in the life of Kevin de Bruyne was London Chelsea. However, during the three years that the Belgian midfielder was on a contract with the “aristocrats”, he played only three matches for the first team. The rest of the time the promising footballer spent on loan in his native Genk.

Rafael Benitez was ready to offer the player only the role of a reservist, and the level of the Belgian championship, Kevin de Bruyne, had long outgrown, therefore, without thinking twice, the player agreed to the offer of Werder Bremen. This is where the midfielder managed to fully reveal himself, and a year later he played in the prestigious Champions League with Wolfsburg. For the “wolves”, by the way, Kevin de Bruyne played more than fifty matches in two seasons and became one of the best in the German championship according to the “goal + pass” system.

Return to England

In 2015, Manchester City's Argentine coach Manuel Pellegrini tried on his third attempt to build a powerful team that could not only impose a fight in the Champions League playoffs, but also win the trophy so coveted by the club's bosses and a multi-million army of fans.

An experienced coach did not have a shortage of cool midfield players, but Yaya Toure and Fernandinho, who stepped over thirty, for all their merits, could not consistently play more than 40 matches per season, so Pellegrini turned his attention to young midfielder Wolfsburg.

Kevin de Bruyne signed a record 74 million six-year contract with Blue Moon and from his first days at the club began to work with particular zeal for every pound spent on him. The Belgian without swinging became the base player of City, and at the end of the season he lost the championship in the dispute between the assistants only to the experienced leader of Arsenal - Mesut Ozil.

The situation has not changed with the arrival of Josep Guardiola in the team. Under the Spanish mentor, de Bruyne does not play only when he needs a pause for recovery, or, as they say, for tactical reasons.

In the national team

Of course, along with such talents as Eden Hazard and Romelu Lukaku, Kevin de Bruyne is a footballer whose name is closely associated with the future of the “red devils”. This generation of bright and extraordinary players is potentially comparable to the team that inspired fear in world football in the 80s of the last century.

For the national team, Kevin de Bruyne has already played more than fifty matches and has good chances to go as part of the main team of the country to the 2018 World Championship, which will be held in Russia.
