If in the primary grades he successfully coped with the school curriculum, then later he often missed classes, and he simply did not have enough strength or time for homework.
After one of the friendly matches between Victoria and the youth team of Lokomotiv, ten-year-old Georgy was invited to the football school of the famous club. It was located in Perovo, so the guy spent a lot of money and time on the road - he got one and a half hours one way.
George is grateful to his parents who worked tirelessly so that their son could safely play sports. However, he himself did not sit idle: during the summer holidays he worked as a painter, then mowed lawns, then cleaned the school yard. As soon as the opportunity arose, he insisted that the parents quit their jobs and devote themselves to raising their youngest son.
First steps in professional sports
In 2011, Jikia joined the Lokomotiv-2 team, headed by coach Evgeny Kharlachev. There he spent three successful seasons and had every chance of moving into the main team of the club. However, due to a change in coach, these plans were not destined to come true, and he finished the 2013/2014 season at FC Spartak-Nalchik, where he spent four months. 
Coach Yevgeny Kharlachev was not going to give up a talented player so easily and took him to Dzerzhinsky Khimik. As part of the team, Jikia first entered the field on July 6, 2014 in a match against Wings of the Soviets, and he scored the first goal for the team on March 18 of the following year - in a game against Tosno.
In 2015, Jikia signed a three-year contract with the Perm club Amkar. Ironically, he sent his winning goal at the Russian Cup against Lokomotiv. In just over a year, he has proven himself to be a strong capable player with powerful potential.
