Not so long ago, the coaching staff of the Russian national football team announced the list of players called up for the next two friendly matches with Lithuania and France. The goalkeeper position caused the greatest talk: firstly, four goalkeepers were called up for these two matches at once (usually no more than three are called up), and secondly, there were two newcomers among them. If the naturalized Brazilian Guilherme is familiar to most fans of domestic football in his performances for the Moscow Lokomotiv, then many hear the name of the second debutant for the first time. This is Stanislav Krytsyuk. The football player, rented by Krasnodar from the Portuguese Braga, is happy to return to his homeland and, judging by his first matches in the Premier League, he intends to impose serious competition on the first number of the national team.

The beginning of Krytsyuk's career

Stanislav Vasilyevich Kritsyuk was born on December 1, 1990 in the city of Tolyatti. He began to take his first steps in football at the Football Academy. Yu. Konoplev, whose other famous graduates were Artur Yusupov, Roman Zobnin and others. Stanislav's debut in professional football took place in 2008, as part of the Academy (Dimitrovgrad), which at that time played in the second division (in terms of rank, this is the third division in Russian football).

Stanislav Kritsyuk spent the next five years in various Togliatti teams that did not rise above the second division.

In 2013, a turning point for Stanislav's career took place, moving to the Portuguese football club Braga (from the city of the same name). In this he was helped by the D-Sports agency, with which Krytsyuk collaborated. After a successful viewing, the football player signed a contract with the Portuguese team.

Performance in Portugal and return to Russia

Kritsyuk did not immediately break into the main team of Braga. He played for the first half of the 2013-2014 season for the second team of Braga, and then was sent on loan to Rio Ave. For the club from the city of Vila do Conde, who played at that time in the Portuguese top league, Stanislav played only one match.

That summer, Stanislav Krytsyuk returned to Braga and in August 2014 he finally made his debut for the first team. Krytsyuk did not become a solid first number that season, but he regularly played in the Portuguese Cup. In one sixteenth of the final of the Braga Cup, with the participation of Kritsyuk, Lisbon Benfica, one of the leaders of Portuguese football, passed. Subsequently, the team reached the final, where in the penalty shootout they lost to another Lisbon team, Sporting.

In the 2015-2016 season, Kritsyuk took over as the main goalkeeper of Braga, but already in January of the sixteenth year he was rented by the Russian club Krasnodar. The terms of the lease include an option to buy.

Personal life and hobbies

In Portugal, Kritsyuk was supported by his girlfriend, who moved to him from Tolyatti.

Stanislav is fond of martial arts. Before starting to play football, Kritsyuk went to boxing for some time. At the age of 19, he resumed his boxing training and has since devoted a lot of his free time to it.

By his own admission, Krytsyuk prefers to travel at home with his beloved.

The opinion of football experts about Krytsyuk

Andrei Tikhonov, a well-known football player in the past, and now the coach of Krasnodar, is sure that Stanislav Kritsyuk is fully consistent with the level of the Russian team. In his opinion, Stanislav benefited from a business trip to Portugal, where he managed to become one of the best goalkeepers in the league: after playing in Europe, the football player developed a mentality of a true professional. Tikhonov believes that Kritsyuk's lack of experience playing for big Russian clubs is not a problem.

According to the head coach of the Russian youth team in training, Kritsyuk could have beaten off several penalties in a row. Pisarev notes Stanislav's ability to play on the line.

The main achievement of Stanislav Krytsyuk: finalist of the Portuguese Cup (14/15).

The Russian school of goalkeepers is rightfully considered one of the best to this day. Among the Russian goalkeepers there are a number of players who have experience playing in the top European championships. One of them is Krasnodar goalkeeper Stanislav Kritsyuk, who has experienced all the power and style of Portuguese football.

Football childhood

Kritsyuk Stanislav Vasilyevich was born on December 1, 1990 in Tolyatti. Since going to elementary school, the parents sent the boy to the football section, from where he soon moved to the Yuri Konoplev Football Academy. The goalkeeper's talent was very noticeable to the mentors of the school, and after completing his studies, in 2008, Stanislav Krytsyuk received an invitation to play for the Second Division team - "Academy".

Arrival in senior football

For the first adult team, Stanislav played only 4 meetings, in which he conceded 4 goals, after which he changed the club, signing an agreement with FC Togliatti. At first, the goalkeeper took the place of the second number, most of the games being on the bench. But in the second year, the coaching staff began to trust the player more, who eventually took part in 18 meetings in two seasons, conceding a total of 36 goals, which did not please the club management very much. Nevertheless, the potential and great talent of the player allowed the coaches to count on him, and sometimes Stanislav Krytsyuk showed an incredible reaction and game on the goal line.

Return to the Academy

At the beginning of 2010, due to the merger of FC Togliatti with the Academy, the goalkeeper again ended up in his native club, but, being already a more experienced player, he increasingly got a chance to prove himself. In the first season alone, Stanislav Kritsyuk, a footballer who was regularly invited to the youth and youth teams, took part in 20 meetings of the Togliatti club, conceding 22 goals. Despite the bright game of the goalkeeper, in the next two seasons, the club's mentors did not let the player to the base so often. Dissatisfied with his position, in 2013, Stanislav decided to change the team.

Travel to Portugal

Portuguese Braga decided to sign a talented Russian. The first half of the season, Stanislav Krytsyuk played for the second team of the club, where he tried to prove himself in order to get into the base. During this period, Krytsyuk showed a decent game, having played “to zero” three times in 12 meetings, but due to the presence of more experienced masters, he was forced to spend the second part of the championship outside the team. At the request of the goalkeeper himself, the club's management agreed to rent a player to another club in the Portuguese championship - Rio Ave.

However, even there, the goalkeeper almost did not get match practice - for all the time in the club from the city of Vila do Conde, he appeared on the field in only three meetings, in each of which he conceded one goal. However, having returned to Braga, the Russian began to get some time to play in the championship. On August 17, 2014, the goalkeeper learned good news for himself - at the match against the Boavista club, Stanislav Krytsyuk will take the place at the gate. The goalkeeper spent his debut match for Braga very confidently, not allowing the opponent to hit the gate even once. The Russian spent 4 more meetings in a row in the starting lineup, after which he again found himself on the bench. In the course of the season, Krytsyuk entered the field 18 more times, having spent most of the games in the Portuguese cups, and completed another football year with 8 “crackers” out of 21 meetings.

He showed a decent result in the 2015/16 season. Having played the entire first half of the championship, the Russian conceded only 13 goals in 18 meetings, leaving his net intact in 9 matches. This result attracted attention from a number of clubs in Europe, and at the end of 2015, the goalkeeper received an offer from the Russian Krasnodar, where he went on loan for six months with an option to buy.

Game for Krasnodar

At the time Stanislav joined the Krasnodar club, the team already had two experienced goalkeepers - Andrey Dikan and Andrey Sinitsyn, but from the very first match Stanislav Kritsyuk won a place in the base. For "Krasnodar" he played the rest of the season, in 12 meetings 8 times keeping his net "dry", conceding only 6 goals. The satisfied management of the club did not return the player to Portugal and took advantage of the right to buy, signing a contract with the goalkeeper until the summer of 2020.

The Russian also started the 2015/16 season as the club's first goalkeeper. Regularly appearing on the field both in the Russian Championship and in the Europa League, by the end of 2016 he was one of the leaders of the Premier League in terms of the number of "dry" matches - he had 8 of them in 17 rounds. As part of the European Cup series, Stanislav played "to zero" two qualifying matches, and then in 5 games of the group stage he became one of the creators of the club's entry into the playoffs, conceding only 6 goals, once keeping zero on the opponent's account. In the winter transfer window of the 2016/17 season, Zenit St. Petersburg was interested in the goalkeeper, but the transfer of the player did not take place.

National successes

Since 2007, Stanislav Krytsyuk has been called up to the national team more than once. In 2007 and 2008, the Russian took part in 11 matches of the national team under 17 and 18, showing a confident game. Soon, the mentor of the Russian youth team, Nikolai Pisarev, invited the goalkeeper to participate in the European Championship, and on January 20, 2012, Kritsyuk made his debut - in the match against Estonia, Stanislav played all 90 minutes, not allowing his opponent to excel. In total, for the youth team, the goalkeeper took part in only 4 meetings, conceding only one goal.

And in 2016, Krytsyuk was invited to the main national team. In March, the goalkeeper was called up for a friendly match against the Lithuanian national team, but he never appeared on the field, and six months later, on November 10, the goalkeeper made his debut. As part of a friendly meeting with Qatar, Stanislav replaced Igor Akinfeev, who was injured, on the field, and in the 33 minutes received, he made a number of spectacular saves, but conceded one goal.

Personal life

Stanislav Krytsyuk, whose personal life was little covered by the media, and the goalkeeper himself rarely published his photos on the Internet, is completely absorbed in his career.

At the moment, the goalkeeper of the Russian national team and Krasnodar is single, but for a long time he has been dating a girl, Yulia, in whose company he likes to spend most of his time.

Successes in the Portuguese and Russian elite

For 9 years of his professional career, Stanislav Krytsyuk played in 5 different clubs. The statistics of the goalkeeper every year shows a steady increase in his level, and the call to the national team in 2016 is another confirmation of this.

As part of the second division of the championship of Russia, where the Russian goalkeeper began his career, Stanislav played 61 matches for the Academy and Togliatti, in which he conceded 76 goals. The next stage in the goalkeeper's career was the Portuguese championships. As part of the second team of Braga, he played 12 meetings in the second league of the championship - Ledman Liga Pro, where he kept the gate shut three times, conceding 14 goals. In the Sagrish League, where the Russian managed to play for both Braga and Rio Ave, there were 30 matches with Stanislav, in exactly half of them he played “to zero”, 19 times he took the ball out of the net.

As part of the Cup of Portugal and the League Cup, the Russian has 12 meetings with 19 goals and 4 “crackers”. For a season and a half in the Russian Premier League, where Kritsyuk joined in 2015, there are only 28 matches so far, in 16 of which the opponent could not print the gates of Krasnodar, and only 19 times breaking through the goalkeeper, and in the Russian Cup Kritsyuk appeared only twice, conceding three goals. In Stanislav's main competition at the moment - the Europa League, he has only 7 meetings with 6 goals and three clean sheets. In total, at this stage, the goalkeeper has 152 matches in which he conceded 149 goals, and 47 “dry” meetings. For the main Russian national team, Kritsyuk has only one match and one missed goal so far.
